Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's eyes narrowed, looking to Caius's chest naturally. "So let me get this straight," he started, reverting his gaze to Caius's face. "You protect Etro by carrying her heart, and yet you seek to destroy the person fighting for her? That doesn't make much sense."

"Goddess Etro granted me eternal life to protect the seeress Paddra Nsu-Yeul," Caius began, figuring he could humor Riku with the story before he fell. "She has watched over the timeline for centuries, and every moment it changes, she receives a vision. With that vision, her life depletes. I am fighting to protect Yeul from the Goddess's cruel curse." He smirked. "While I may carry her heart within my chest, I seek to destroy her and end Yeul's suffering."

Rose's eyes widened faintly. There was Caius's motive for fighting. She had never discovered it before. Now she had both a physical weakness and an emotional one. Yeul, she thought. I have to find Yeul. Perhaps she could talk Caius out of this madness. She took a small step backward, hoping that nobody could hear her. But...wait...you can't just leave Riku here...

"And if Etro dies?" Riku prodded, eyes narrowing. "What happens then?" If Caius got his way--killed Lightning and Etro--what would happen to the world? To Valhalla and Gran Pulse?

"Chaos will be released," Caius answered shortly. He smirked at Riku's confused expression. "The chaos of Valhalla, once unleashed, will cover the world and connect it to Valhalla. Time will cease to exist, as will death."

"And so will life," Riku concluded lowly. If there was no time and no death, life would cease as well. "You're willing to sacrifice millions of lives for one girl?! That's murder!"

Caius only laughed, leaping from the throne and slowly descending to the young man's level. "You are quite clever, Riku," he admitted. "Now I see why Lightning associates herself with you. But know this: you are not the one meant to kill me. The one who is shall bear the burden of the eternal paradox. While you know my motives, you will not live to tell them." He reached behind him and pulled his sword slowly from his back. "Your life ends here."

Rose ducked around another pillar, having a clear view of Caius on the throne of Etro. He was willing to kill millions for the sake of one. So he himself had to be killed before he could accomplish that. But if he was killed, the same thing would happen! And if he wasn't killed here and now...Riku would be. She made her decision based on that. Caius may have been insane to want to save one person despite the other millions, but she was doing the same thing at that moment in a way. She threw one of her blades in a perfectly straight path, seeing it fly straight towards Caius's heart.
Caius lifted his blade, his eyes still lingering on Riku as he blocked the sword that had been thrown in his direction. It clattered to the ground, and he looked to the shadows. "Show yourself," he demanded lowly, seeing that Riku was looking around for the source of the blade as well. Caius recognized the weapon; it belonged to the warrior in gold.

Rose didn't see any harm in making herself seen; her presence was already known. She stepped out of the shadows and summoned her sword back into her right hand, stopping a few feet behind Riku as she stared silently at Caius. Just because he knew she was here didn't mean that he had to know that she wasn't mute. But he did have to know that he had a real problem now that she heard him. After all, they fought for six months now and he hadn't defeated her.

Riku glanced behind him. Rose...he thought. So she followed him, or so he believed. That would make things ugly later, but she at least knew Caius's motives now.

Caius smirked. "I take it you now know my plans for the future," he assumed. "No matter. Whether I die or not, Valhalla's chaos will be unleashed into the world. You will lose, no matter what. Whether I die or live, the timeline will not change in that sense."

Rose wouldn't accept that. There had to be some way to kill him without killing Etro! A pierced skull couldn't hurt. There was a fair distance between her and Caius, so she started running a few steps before she jumped and prepared to stab his skull rather than his heart. If that killed him and Etro's heart was no longer within him, they could win. Hopefully.
"No, wait!" Riku cried, reaching a hand to Rose. But Caius clearly didn't plan on dying, since he lifted his blade and easily blocked Rose's attack. This was going to be a battle to the death; Riku could already see it. But...if Caius died, chaos would ensue. They couldn't have that happening!

Rose kept one blade against Caius's, her other coming forward towards his skull again. This was the benefit of wielding two weapons, she supposed. But she feared even that wouldn't help her kill Caius. He was too strong to go down that easily.
Caius moved, swinging his blade as he ducked around the second sword and forced Rose away from him. "Pathetic," he hissed. He would not fall to the mute today, or any other day. He was not going to die to her hand.

Rose fought hard not to grunt when she was shoved away, the young woman doing a flip in the air to regain herself before she landed by Riku. He yelled at her to stop a minute ago, but that wasn't something that she could do. She was Caius's fated rival, so until the day that he died, she would fight him. ...She had to be the one to kill him.
Riku put an arm in front of Rose when he sensed her urgency, keeping her close to him. He glared at Caius in silence, seeing that the man was satisfied with their anger. Was this the way time was supposed to flow? Was this their destinies?
  • Author
Oh stop it, Rose wanted to hiss. He's mine! She lifted her arm and used her wrist to push down Riku's arm in front of her so that she could rush at Caius again. That was another thing about Rose: she was always on the offensive. Lightning fought cautiously and Rose always went in for the kill. Today wasn't going to be any different.
Riku summoned his Keyblade away instantly, and before Rose could pass him completely, he wrapped his arms around hers, locking them behind her. "Stop it!" he hissed. They weren't going to win! Didn't she see that? Even if they did kill Caius, they would only send a deadly fate to the world. It would be ugly, and it wasn't a fate he wanted.

Rose froze when Riku grabbed her. This was the first human contact that she had in a year. And with Riku of all people. She was too stunned to move, too stunned to even be mad at him for restraining her. She had a habit of blocking all emotions out, but this...this broke down that wall almost instantly.

Caius lifted an eyebrow in interest. "What's this?" he wondered aloud, seeing the way Rose froze at the contact Riku gave her. "Is the warrior frozen with the human touch?" He smirked, finding this to be quite interesting. Rose was not only a mute, but also a loner. But the impact seemed greater than that. It was because of Riku.

Riku became confused, keeping his tight hold on Rose as he looked from her to Caius. What was that supposed to mean? Was it that odd for Rose to touch someone, after all this time? He can see where it was, but why was Caius looking at him like that? It was like Riku was the one who made the difference.

Don't do it, Rose warned herself. Don't open your mouth... She wanted to yell at Caius. She wanted to tell him that being separated from not only your loved ones but all humanity for one year was agony. And that he was the worst person ever to force her to fight him when she didn't even want to. She didn't get a chance to yell at him though, because an arrow suddenly flew from behind her and came at Caius's forehead. Did nobody heed her warning to stay at the safe-house?
Riku witnessed Caius duck at the last second, and he looked behind him. "Serah!" he said in shock. What was she doing here? She should have been back at the house, where it was safe. He kept his hold on Rose, making sure she didn't run for Caius; she couldn't, not now. They knew his plans, and they couldn't give him that satisfaction.

Serah ran up to be beside Riku and Rose, though she didn't know why the latter was being restrained. She just came to the scene in time to hear Caius say that Riku was going to die today. She held a bow and arrow in her hands with confidence, knowing how to use it thanks to Rose's training last night. There was no way Riku and Rose were going to fight without her.

Rose stayed in Riku's restraints, though she could have broken free if she really wanted to. "...Leave," she hissed quietly. Even if they were in the presence of Caius, she had to tell Serah and Riku to leave. It could blow her cover as a mute if he heard her, but some things were more important than that.

"And she speaks," Caius said in amusement, actually entertained by all of this. He could see that Riku was not so surprised by the speech, but the young man didn't release Rose. "Well isn't this a sight. The three of you, fighting to defend a future that has no hope."

Riku ground his teeth together, glaring at Caius. The future does have hope, as long as we fight to protect it. He would, no matter what.

"We heard all we needed to today," Rose said in nearly a whisper to Riku and Serah. "Let's get out of here." While they still could. They could go back to the safe-house and formulate a plan of some kind. Caius had to have a weakness somehow. He was connected to another human being, so maybe she could help. The seeress.
Riku loosened his hold on Rose, then releasing her completely. He took a small step back as he glared at Caius, who didn't seem happy about the suggestion Rose declared. He could already tell the man was going to lose his cool. "Go..." he said, moving a hand to grab Serah's arm and gently usher her back.

Serah allowed Mog to transform into a sword that only occupied her one hand rather than remaining as the heftier bow. She heard Rose say that she would cover the exit and she hesitated because of that. Could she really take on Caius alone, even for a short period of time? She figured she could since she fought the man for months, but still....
"None of you will be leaving," Caius declared, his sword beginning to glow. "You will die here! Your time is up!" He slammed his blade into the ground, creating a rush of purple that traveled along the ground toward them. It impacted the three, sending them flying. He would not let them get away with his motives in their grasp. They would die before him, and fall to his blade.
