Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Rose grunted when she landed on one knee, glancing behind her and seeing Serah on her side. Her eyes narrowed as she ran forward with blades in hand, swinging at Caius in an "x" pattern. It looked like their escape wasn't going to be easy. As long as she kept him occupied...as long as Riku and Serah made it out of here...That was all that mattered.
Riku managed to catch his footing, at least a little. He slid along the ground, looking up in time to see Rose pursue Caius. "No!" he cried. This was just what Caius wanted! If they did his bidding, he would kill them. They had to get out of here!

"Shut up and get out!" Rose finally hollered at Riku. Rose would keep him occupied until Riku and Serah were out of here, and then she would follow. She kept swinging her two thin blades at Caius, though he kept on dodging them. He was toying with her. With a battle cry, she clanged her blades together in front of her and created a supersonic soundwave to hit Caius. It wasn't an ability that she used lightly, as it drained much of her strength.
Riku watched as Caius failed to dodge this newest attack, but he was frozen in place. That order... It was something Lightning would say. But... But nothing, he told himself. Lightning's not here. He stood upright, calling his Keyblade to him. "I don't run away from a fight," he said lowly, speaking mostly to himself, though he was sure Serah could hear him. He looked over at her, hearing Caius pull his own maneuvers. "Ready, Serah?"
  • Author
"Ready," Serah said with a small nod, grasping the hilt of her magic sword with both hands. She was with Riku. They promised to stay with Lightning but failed at that, so now they were passing on that promise to Rose whether she wanted them to or not. They'd help take down Caius and save the world.
Riku looked from Serah to Caius, seeing that he was busy blocking Rose's blades. He closed his eyes and used his Dark powers to teleport behind the man, then swinging his Keyblade. He heard Caius cry out, which left him open for an attack from Rose or Serah. He hoped this was how the fight would continue, but it wouldn't turn out in their favor. Not this time.

Serah was mostly using her bow and arrow throughout the fight because she didn't have the same strength as Rose and Riku with a sword. Staying at a distance and using spells was very useful anyway. Well...useful for surviving, not defeating Caius. When there was an opening, Serah shot another arrow, though her aim was at Caius's throat this time because she was too tired to lift her bow all the way. This needed to end, now. All of them were too exhausted to carry on much longer.
Caius closed his eyes, freezing time. He opened his eyes to find Serah's arrow right at his throat, and he stepped back slightly, away from the arrow, and the two blades Rose wielded that had been coming his way. He looked to the side, seeing Riku was attempting to catch his breath on his hands and knees. "Enough is enough," Caius said lowly, transporting himself far enough away from the three that he could deal his own blows. He returned time, seeing the arrow pierce a pillar, and Rose's swords cross through air. "You all are foolish," he called. Their time here was depleting quickly.

Rose gasped into the empty air, feeling her swords cut through absolutely nothing. Serah's gasp was similar, but the younger girl didn't have Rose's battle experience. As soon as she heard the noise, she spun around to face where Caius was standing. How did he do that? He manipulated space before, but not time. This is bad. Really bad.
Caius held his sword, swinging a hand over the eye of it before it glowed. "You shall learn the truth!" he demanded. He would show Riku and Serah their true ally, whoever she was. And then, they would see to their deaths. It was time they departed this world and entered the realm of death. He swung his blade through the air, creating a wave of energy that swept over the entire area. He heard Riku grunt at the impact, even if the Keyblader fought to hold his ground. Regardless, Caius knew this battle was over; he was the strongest of the three, and after this, they would never forget it. Even in death.

Serah yelped at the energy wave, flying back into a pillar in a sitting position. She groaned at the hit as she fell onto her side, Mog laying forgotten a few feet away. But her weapons weren't the only ones that were lying on the ground. Across the room, by Etro's throne, Serah saw two more weapons lying on the ground. Rose was on her stomach, starting to crawl over to them slowly and painfully in desperation. Rose....
Riku looked up, pushing himself up from a position on his stomach to his hands and knees. "Rose!" he called, but it was too late. Caius had already approached her, and kicked her in the side to keep her away from her weapons. Riku grunted at the sight, pained by it.

Rose grunted in pain, rolling onto her side from the force of the kick. Her one hand was still extended to her swords, but they were too far away for her to grab, and she didn't have the energy to summon them back to her. Still, she reached desperately for them, feeling her fingertips touch the hilt of one of them. She tried to keep her eyes on them rather than on Caius, who was right in front of her.

Caius bent down next to Rose, studying her despite the fact that she was more focused on her weapons. Let's see who you really are. He lifted his free hand and grabbed Rose by the neck, rising to his feet as he pulled her along with him. Once she was suspended in the air, he sheathed his weapon. "Who are you, warrior?" he asked aloud, lifting his free hand to the helmet on her head. It was time he found out. He pulled it off with a rough tug, revealing the person underneath. A smirk instantly arose on Caius's lips.

Once the helmet was off her head, the magic surrounding it faded. Her pink bangs fell over the eyes that faded from green to their normal blue, and though she didn't speak, she knew that her voice was back to normal as well. Her pink, curly hair only fell to her shoulders now, but other than that, her identity was clear. She was Lightning.

Riku was frozen. The sight before him made his heart drop and his voice fail him. Lightning... It was Lightning! She really was alive, and with them all along. He wanted to rejoice, but the situation they were in kept him from that. And clearly Caius took advantage of the moment, tightening his grasp on Lightning's throat.

"You have been before me all along," Caius said, staring up at the woman he held by the throat. "And yet still you cowered behind a false identity to have me believe you were truly dead." He chuckled. "Your plan has failed you, and now you will pay the price. You are the essence of Etro I shall destroy, and with that, defeat the goddess. Your life's end brings about the chaos, a future I will accept." He brought back his arm to grasp his sword, prepared to do what he needed to. It was time chaos was welcomed into the world, and Yeul's suffering ended.

"Lightning," Serah whispered in fear. She had been worrying all along about Lightning, but she was shocked to see that she was with them all along. It was amazing! And depressing. But none of it could compare to the emotion and tension of this moment. Caius was going to kill her this time.

Lightning grunted, lifting her hands and grasping Caius's arm that was holding her up. Time was running out. He had the advantage here, no doubt about that. But there was still one thing that she could do to get him to release her. She brought up her foot and kicked him right under his jaw with all her might, certain that he would have to drop her after that.

Riku saw what happened, witnessing Caius stumble back and release Lightning. He took that as his cue. He rose to his feet and shot off Dark Aura at the man, striking him while he was stunned, before he moved in for his own blow. Caius couldn't die, but he could get chased away, like last time. That was Riku's goal now. But soon, when they found a way around their predicament, he would kill Caius. Nobody threatened to kill Lightning and got away with it.

Lightning fell to her knees and just wanted to collapse to catch her breath, but she didn't. She picked herself up and stumbled over to Serah, who was picking herself up as Mog hovered by her. "Come, now!" she panted to Riku. She could transport them all out of here using the last reserves of her strength, but only if they were all in contact. Riku had to abandon his fight with Caius and come to her and Serah and Mog.
Riku had just dealt a blow to Caius, sending the man to the ground. He looked from Caius to Lightning and then back again, grinding his teeth. Fine, he thought, turning and sprinting toward Lightning and Serah. He didn't know what Lightning planned on doing, but he would obey her for now. He wasn't about to take on Caius alone; he would only die.

Lightning grasped Riku and Serah's arms while Mog gripped Serah's shoulder. She stared at Caius for only one second before the four fo them disappeared from Etro's throne room and reappeared in the house Lightning had been staying at before. The moment their surroundings changed, though, she felt her strength fail her. She kept her grip on Riku and Serah's wrists but sank down to her knees, lowering her head as she tried to catch her breath. They were safe...for now.
Riku didn't hesitate kneeling down next to the woman he loved, lifting his hand to grasp hers that gripped his wrist. "Light..." he said softly. He couldn't believe this... She was okay! And she had been with him and Serah all this time... How she took on a new identity so well, he would never know, but he knew that it bought her some time. That was enough.

Lightning shut her eyes, trying to make her breathing not sound so ragged. Serah's already was. Her sister wrapped an arm around her shoulders and hugged her, making Lightning feel like the younger sibling of the two. She wasn't used to this anymore. She wasn't used to not being alone.
Riku wasn't sure what to do. Did he embrace her? Kiss her? He didn't know, but he was aware of her fatigue. "Serah," he called to the youngest sibling. "We need to get her to her bed." Lightning looked like she could pass out soon, and he didn't want her doing it on the floor.

Lightning shook her head wordlessly, though that didn't seem to hinder Serah. She changed her hold on Lightning by wrapping her arm around her lower back and putting Lightning's around her shoulder. She didn't fight it, too tired and overwhelmed at being held onto by the two people that she loved more than anything else in all the worlds.
