A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku kept his grasp on Lightning's hand regardless of her lacking grip, his other hand remaining under her chin. Sorry I didn't do this sooner, he told her silently, kissing her gently. He kissed her scars, but he didn't kiss her. He should have done it the moment she was herself agian.

Lightning had released Riku's hand completely, just because she was blindsided. Still though, she lightly kissed him. All of the memories were coming back, not that they ever left. Good morning kisses and morning breath. Playful contests where they would kiss each other to stop them from bantering any longer. Being tangled in his arms as he held her. He made her feel so safe in the past, so happy...Maybe he couldn't keep her safe from this situation, but could he at least keep her happy?

Riku withdrew from the kiss after a moment, keeping his eyes closed for a second longer. When he opened them, he gazed at the woman he loved, still grasping her hand. Was that...okay? The fact that he kissed her? If it wasn't, he guessed he could understand. Things were different for her now, since it had been a year for her.

Lightning kept her eyes shut for a few seconds longer than Riku, even if she felt his gaze on her. She opened them slowly and her eyes registered that she was still herself. And this was how she wanted to stay. She didn't want to slip away and never come back. She gazed at him sadly, not saying a word.

Riku's hand moved from Lightning's chin to her face, lightly cupping her cheek. "...I love you, Claire," he whispered. He knew this would be his chance to say it, since she would go back to Rose's persona soon. He wouldn't neglect it, and instead he would take advantage of it. While he still could...while he still had his Claire...

The sorrow in Lightning's eyes increased. How could he call her Claire at a time like this? He called her Light earlier when she didn't believe that the name fit, and now it was the same thing with Claire. Riku believed she was Claire right now? She didn't think that she did. But no matter who she was, there was a universal truth. "I love you too," she declared softly as she gripped his hand again.

Riku's lips turned up slightly, but he didn't allow himself to smile any more. It would be more apparent that he was disappointed when Lightning went away again. Until then, he would just enjoy this. He wouldn't have her for long.

Lightning looked down at the ground, her hand loosely holding Riku's. Despite the year apart, she could read him. He was waiting and fearing when she would revert instead of actually enjoying this moment.She was doing the same. Maybe she should just get it over with, then. Go back to being Rose. She shut her eyes sadly, remaining silent still. She didn't know what to say.

Riku lowered his hand from Lightning's face after a moment, still holding her hand with the other. "...What're you gonna do now that the gem's gone?" he asked softly, figuring he should steer things away from the depressings thoughts. He didn't want things between them to be negative while Lightning was still with him.

"I'll just go to sleep," Lightning said softly as she opened her eyes. "Creating gems is exhausting work." Maybe she didn't show it on the outside since she was better at hiding exhaustion now, but she really was tired. She assumed Riku and Serah were too, considering how stress would wear people out.

"I wouldn't know," Riku said with a small shake of his head. "But I trust your judgement." He would let her sleep then. He wasn't sure what he would do, but he couldn't just rest with all the thoughts going through his mind. They would keep him up.

Lightning nodded faintly. "Is Serah using the bed?" That was the one unfortunate detail of this place: it only had one bed, and the only other piece of furniture to sleep on was a couch. It wasn't comfortable, but then again, neither was the bed. At least they were better than the floor. But...she hoped to leave this place, someday.

Riku shrugged a little, glancing behind him toward the hall without thought. "I don't know," he admitted. He bet Serah was, but he knew Lightning wouldn't push her out. Light was still herself in that sense, at least.

"I'll leave it to her either way," Lightning decided matter-of-factly. She slid her hand out of Riku's, looking up at him and realizing that they were still in really close proximity. It made sense though, considering that they kissed a minute ago. But that moment felt long gone. Were they going to say goodnight here, then?

Riku nodded slightly, looking back to the person he loved. "I'll leave you to sleep," he stated. He knew she was tired, since she just admitted it, and he could barely see the exhaustion in her eyes. He would busy himself with something else in the meantime.

Lightning nodded faintly, glancing past Riku to the door. That was her cue to leave. "Goodnight, then," she said softly as she briefly looked back into his eyes. This is the part where you kiss him goodnight. But...she couldn't force herself to do it. She nodded faintly to him and then stepped past him to head to the couch in the other room.

Riku turned his head slightly to watch Lightning step past him. "'Night," he called softly, watching her go. He didn't expect a kiss goodnight, even after what just occurred between them; Rose was back, and Lightning was gone. It was time he got used to that.

Lightning laid herself down on the couch as she wore the leggings and tank-top, her head resting against the couch. Comfort didn't matter just as long as she could sleep. Within a few minutes, she was out cold. But along with her sleep came something that she hadn't experienced in a long time: haunting visions. But these visions were of somebody she never even met before. Who was he?

Riku busied himself with his thoughts while he was alone, and after a while, he checked on both Serah and Lightning. Serah was still asleep, and when he found Lightning, she was the same...but something was different. His eyebrows came together when he saw her flinch in her sleep, and that alerted him to a possible nightmare. She still had those? Riku figured they would have gone away with the tough persona she recently adopted, but he guessed not after seeing the way she looked now. He silently approached her and bent down next to the couch, reaching out a hand to wake her.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows, seeing the young man get pulled up towards the sky in a beam of light. What on earth...? She heard a scream and her eyes snapped open, the warrior bolting up into a sitting position and panting a breath. That scream was only in her head; she knew that much. But was that...the future? Was that man coming here?

Riku jumped when Lightning bolted upright, a rough grunt leaving him in surprise. His hand was now by his side, though his eyes were wide as they gazed at Lightning. What just happened? He imagined she just woke up from her nightmare, but judging by the look on her face, it was more than that.

Lightning looked over at Riku, surprised at his presence but too wrapped up in the vision to ask him what he was doing there. It had to be a glimpse of the future. Etro was sending somebody to help! And they could come at any second. The girl set a hand on the back of the couch and pushed herself over the back of the couch to her feet as her armor appeared. "You need to stay here," she immediately said to Riku as the gold armor covered her. She had to see for herself if this vision was going to be true.

"Whoa, wait a second," Riku said, rising to his feet as well. "What's going on?" Lightning seemed...urgent, and that could only mean there was an emergency. The armor didn't help. If he could offer his blade, he was going to. Serah was fine here; the place was hidden by a spell anyway.

"I'll let you know when I know. Stay," Lightning repeated, starting quickly towards the front door. What was the last bit of the vision that she saw? The tower of Etro's temple? She had to go there and wait, and hope that she wouldn't run into Caius on the way. With her luck, she would. But that didn't hinder her.

Riku knew just by Lightning's tone that he wouldn't win this battle, and as much as he hated to admit defeat, there was no other option. "...Be careful," he called, voice low in seriousness. If she wasn't back within an hour, he was going after her.
