Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning nodded faintly before opening the door and shutting it behind her. Once she was out, she began to run. There was no point in making her presence extremely obvious to Caius if this was a false alarm. But she knew that it wasn't. At any moment at all, Etro's Gate would open and that man would fall out of the sky to Valhalla. His scream would alert Caius to it all. She grunted, throwing caution to the wind and summoning Bahamut to her. She jumped on the beast's back and flew quickly towards the center of the city.
The young hunter found himself waking from his drift through the Historia Crux, and when he opened his eyes, he saw nothing but a city. One that he was falling into. "Ah!" he screamed, tumbling continuously through the air. Don't panic, he told himself. Don't panic! But he was about to fall to his death! How couldn't he panic?!

Lightning heard the scream, but this time, it wasn't a vision. This was real. As soon as she saw the spec in the sky, she knew the name of the young man. Noel Kriess. She grunted and spurred Bahamut forward, flying nearly straight upward as they flew above Etro's temple. "Hey!" she shouted loudly, outstretching a hand even if the distance between them was great at that moment.
Noel managed to straighten himself, nosediving toward the city below. But at the shout, his eyes found the source. He reached a hand out toward the person flying in on Bahamut, grunting slightly in anxiousness. If this person didn't catch him...he was as good as dead.

Lightning's eyes were narrow because of the wind, but she didn't take her eyes off Noel. She grunted when she grasped his hand and pulled him aboard the beast, but the grunt was also partially caused by a roar that she heard in the distance. Of course this wouldn't be an easy rescue mission. Caius was on his way.
Noel looked behind the woman in armor, his eyes finding a large beast flying toward them. "What is that thing?!" he cried over the wind and another roar. It was coming right for them! But why?

"The welcoming committee," Lightning said sarcastically. She summoned her gunblade to her hand, the weapon feeling strange but comfortable in her grasp. "Hang on tight." She guided Bahamut into a sudden nose-dive, trusting that he could fly through the narrow parts of the city better than Caius could. Maybe they could lose him there.
Riku heard a roar, even if it was faint from where he was back at Lightning's. But it was enough to draw him to the nearest window and look out. If he had been with Lightning, he would have heard Noel Kreiss cry out in surprise at the sudden nosedive from Bahamut, but instead...he only heard his own heartbeat in his ears. That was Caius...in Chaos Bahamut.

Serah crawled out of bed at the noise, joining Riku in the living room. She was still a little drowsy as she came to look out the window with him, but she realized that the roar was Caius as the beast. "What's he roaring about?" she asked, turning her head to look at Riku. But when she saw his expression, she realized two things: Lightning wasn't here, and Riku was scared. Did that mean she was...?
"Your sister," Riku declared lowly, eyes narrowing slightly at another roar. I have to get out there. He could act as a diversion! Caius knew that one of the best ways to get to Lightning was to hurt Riku or Serah; he had to have known that. So he would go after Riku right away! At least, that was what Riku figured.

Serah looked up to the sky just in time to see the smaller beast disappear between some of the buildings. "She's on Bahamut again," she realized aloud. "Do you think she'll be okay...?" She definitely had a better chance against Chaos Bahamut when she was on the back of her own flying beast. And if she was flying into the city, she must have known what she was doing. Right?
"Can't really tell from here," Riku said, stepping away from the window after a moment. He started toward the door, tapping the armguard on his forearm to summon his armour. He was going to help, whether Lightning approved or not.

Serah shut her eyes briefly at the bright light, but then opened them to see Riku in his armor. She felt like she should have been protesting, but she was worried too, obviously. "I want to come with," she said softly. She had a feeling that he would turn her down, but still...she wanted to fight for her sister.

"I'm not strong enough to protect the both of us," Riku said, stopping at he door. Serah was tinted due to his helmet, but it helped to shield his eyes from view. He didn't want her seeing the worry in them, but he was sure Serah already caught onto that. He was pretty easy to read these days. "Stay here, where it's safe. I'll be back when I can."

Serah bit her lip but nodded anyway. "If you take too long, I'm coming for you," she said. Even if she had to run all the way across the city, she would do it. Not only was Riku Lightning's true love, but he was also Serah's friend. She wasn't about to let him get seriously hurt while she was cowering here. He'd go retrieve Lightning and then come back. That was what she figured.
"Let's hope it doesn't come to that," Riku muttered lowly, glancing away. But then he looked to Serah again. He lifted two fingers to his helmet in a mock salute before departing, stepping out of the house. He instantly called to his Keyblade, summoning his Glider a moment later. With a grunt, he hopped on and soared into the sky, not wasting any time. Lightning wouldn't have it here.

Lightning already warned Noel a lot to hold on tightly, and the was especially necessary when Bahamut rolled to avoid some dark attacks from Caius. She grunted once Bahamut was flying level again, barely above the skyscrapers. They had to fly lower to knock Caius off them, but this area was too narrow even for them. She opened her palm and sent balls of Light towards Caius, on the offensive. Despite the recent battles Riku and Serah witness, Lightning was a worthy foe of Caius's. There was a reason she wasn't killed in the past year, and it wasn't luck.
Noel grunted at the roll, but when Bahamut righted himself again, he made sure to watch where the summon was going. He heard Chaos Bahamut roar behind them, obviously infuriated with Lightning's retaliations, but Noel had no problem with them. It bought them some time to get away from the beast before it was too late, or so he figured. With the way things were going, he wasn't sure how much time they had before something went horribly wrong.

C'mon. I need you all, Lightning thought glancing at two nearby ledges. She summoned the Shiva Sisters to the scene, who stood at opposite ledges and created a wall of ice between the area Caius was about to fly through. In the mean time, she was preparing her own strong attack. Little did she know that she wasn't the only one about to unleash something big.
Riku flew over the city, pushing his glider to go faster when he saw a familiar mannerism the Chaos Bahamut made. He was about to release a beam...and right toward Lightning. He watched as the summon crashed through the ice barrior like it was nothing, still pursuing his beloved. No way, he thought, swinging his glider around as he flew near Chaos Bahamut's head. Riku managed to strike him, but a nasty snarl was his reward. Regardless, Chaos Bahamut went back to preparing for his beam, so Riku knew he had little time. I have to make a shield!

Lightning grunted at the intervention, eyes widening. She hadn't expected that. Couldn't Riku just do as he was told, for once?! "Riku!" she hollered, voice squeaking in anger. He had to get out of here! This wasn't his fight; it was hers. It was always hers. She stood on the back of Bahamut and shot off her gunblade at the large beast, desperate now that Riku was here. He couldn't be hurt for her account.

Noel may have not been around many people, but he knew desperation when he saw it...and heard it. Lightning had it just now, when she called that guy's name. "Riku?" he muttered in question. Who was this guy?

Relax, Riku silently told Lightning. He flew his glider behind her summon, the two of them about a hundred feet apart. He lifted a hand behind him and focused, his hand being surrounded by a golden light. C'mon, he urged. He saw that Chaos Bahamut was ready to release his beam. Protect! The warm glow turned into a bright light as it shot out of his hand, appearing and meeting Chaos Bahamut's beam. Riku grunted as he tried to hold it back...but he already felt his strength and energy draining from the small struggle.

Odin! Lightning mentally cried, desperate again. She saw the knight appear on a nearby roof and jump down, swinging his weapon at Bahamut. Commanding eidolons took strength, even here, but that wouldn't stop her from summoning a whole army of eidolons in order to protect Riku. They had to fly lower in the city while they could. They could lose Caius in these more narrow areas.
Riku saw what Lightning was doing, and he appreciated the diversion. He managed to put up the shield with Odin's interference, and with that, he allowed his hand to fall. He returned to steering his glider. "Go!" he ordered the two ahead of him, for the first time noticing that another person was on Lightning's summon with her. Who it was, he didn't care about finding out. Not right now at least. They had to get away from Caius while they could, but by the roar that shook the world around them, he knew Odin couldn't hold Caius off for long.

Bahamut didn't do a complete nosedive, but he did fly then lower between the buildings. He had to turn on his side slightly so that his wings weren't hitting the buildings. That was ideal for Lightning even if she had to hold onto Bahamut with both hands so she didn't fall off. If Bahamut could barely make it through here, then Caius certainly couldn't. Seeing some even more narrow buildings up ahead. Bahamut turned completely on his side to fly through.
