Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning saw Noel's confused expression and accepted it. At least he was practical enough to talk about Caius before showing just how lost he was. But before she explained what precious little details she had, she wanted to hear more about him. "All right Noel," she started, taking her hand off Riku's shoulder and stepping over to the couch. As she sat down on it, her armor faded away to reveal leggings and a tank-top. "Tell me about yourself."
Noel crossed his arms over his chest, taking a small step forward. "I'm a hunter from the Farseer tribe on Gran Pulse," he began. "I'm from 700 years in the future, and the last human to ever be born." He saw Riku's disgruntled look at the news, something he had never experienced before. After all, the only people he had known were Caius and Yeul, but that would come later.

"The Farseers," Lightning repeated, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "Does that mean that you're connected to the seeress that Caius protects?" Caius told them before that he wants to destroy time for the sake of the seeress Yeul. Lightning simply assumed that the seeresses came from that tribe. And considering the tribe name, it was an easy assumption to make.
Noel frowned at the reminder, looking away. "You mean Yeul," he said softly. "...Yeah." He was connected to Yeul in a lot of ways--as a fellow survivor, a friend, a protector... He couldn't save her, though. He could hunt, but he couldn't protect.

Though Lightning sensed some issues there, she couldn't back down. If prying into Noel's past meant finding a way to defeat Caius, she was going to do it. "I thought before that meeting Yeul and having her talk some sense into Caius would be the only way to stop him," she said. "Do you know if that would work? Or if there are any other ways to kill him?"
"...Changing the future only kills Yeul," Noel said, glaring at the ground, his voice tighter. "While she may be reborn...it's not the right way to go about things. Caius treasures Yeul as much as I do, but...she's tried telling him before that it's okay for her to die." He lowered his arms and released a frustrated breath, pushing past his own emotions to focus. "Needless to say, Caius doesn't listen. I'm not sure how we can beat him..."

Lightning was afraid of that. So, Caius was beyond reason. "Killing Caius means cursing the entire universe to becoming Valhalla," she said after a sigh. "Letting him live means the same. The only way I see fixing this is extracting Etro's heart from Caius. He dies, but the goddess still lives." She glanced at Riku at that, recalling the plan they established. It seemed like it really was their only chance now. So...they would be separated.

Noel saw the looks exchanged between Riku and Lightning, and he lifted an eyebrow. "You two mind sharing?" he asked, setting a hand on his hip and tilting his head. He was confused as to what message the two were conveying.

Riku looked to Noel at the question. "The weapon I wield is called a Keyblade," he explained. "It has the ability to extract hearts from a person's body. Light and I were thinking we could extract Etro's heart from Caius's body and that it would go somewhere safe. Caius wouldn't have to die and the chaos couldn't touch the rest of the world." Of course, that didn't mean Caius would let that happen. They probably would have to kill him...after getting the heart.

Serah nodded faintly and added onto what Riku said. "But Riku doesn't know how to do that yet," she said to Noel. "So he needs to somehow leave Valhalla and get training. I know you're new here, but...you know any ways out?" Did he see any gates around, or just have some secret knowledge? She really hoped so...
Noel shook his head after glancing back at Serah. "No idea," he admitted. "All I remember was being sucked into the sky before falling from it." Lightning thankfully saved him from an unfortunate death, but he figured it was a gate that let him travel into the past. From history books, he knew he was in the past, considering the technology and such. Besides, no other people were around from where he was; the fact that he had company let him know he had traveled through time.

Lightning lifted a hand to her right temple, rubbing it briefly. Well this was disappointing. She had hoped Noel knew something, but so far, it didn't seem like he was going to be much help. "...Alright," she said after a few moments. "It's the middle of the night. Why doesn't everyone go rest and we'll come up with a game plan tomorrow?" Of course, even as she said that, she was still planning on staying up a while and thinking. She had to.
Riku nodded slightly, seeing Noel do the same. He wasn't exactly tired, but he knew they didn't have much time left here. Eventually, Riku would have to find a way out and search for someone to help him learn to extract a heart...if that person existed. The only person he knew was Xehanort, and he was gone. Not that Riku would ask for his help anyway.

"There's, um, the bed and then a chair in one of the back rooms," Lightning said. "Serah, you take the bed again tonight." Fortunately for her, Serah knew not to argue the point, so she nodded softly and then headed back. She didn't know if her sister would be alone or not, but she had a feeling at least Riku was going to stick around in the living room. He could probably tell she was going to stay up until she passed out.
Noel rubbed the back of his head, lifting his other hand to wave to Riku and Lightning as he followed Serah back. He would take the chair, obviously. He wasn't sure what Riku and Lightning were going to do, but he would let them have their privacy.

Lightning watched Noel go away, but once he was gone, she moved her fingers away from her temple and weaved them into her hair. What a headache this all was. She didn't feel any closer to defeating Caius now that Noel was here. She had to think. Where else could there be a gate? What was Noel's part in this if it wasn't to give Lightning information? Was he the one who would kill Caius?
Riku continued standing, watching the pair leave before his eyes turned to Lightning. He knew her well enough to figure she would be up late, and he would stay with her. She had been alone too long, without him. He knew he wouldn't be okay after being so long without her... He hadn't been, in the future he remembered her visiting.

Lightning leaned forward on the seat, leaning her elbows against her knees as she looked down at the ground. She couldn't help but think that Serah was here for a reason. She had the ability to fight now but wasn't strong enough on her own. So Noel just suddenly showed up and could stay with her while Lightning and Riku do their own stuff. Coincidence? She didn't think so. Noel and Serah. Serah and Noel...maybe they were meant to do something together...But what about her and Riku? Did that mean they were supposed to stay together too? That logic doesn't make any sense. You just don't want to be alone again.
"You gotta rest sometime too, you know," Riku declared quietly, his voice low in the otherwise silent room. And he got a weird vibe from Lightning as well. What was she thinking about? Was it the future? He was concerned for it too; he wanted to protect it, if he could. For his friends, and his loved ones.

Lightning looked up at Riku, noticing his serious expression. He was bold to think that he could order her around after everything. Of course she wasn't going to yell at him for it though; he was her most trusted ally. He always would be. "So do you," she pointed out in the same voice. When she woke up from the vision, Riku was still awake. He needed to sleep too.
"I haven't been fighting battles on my own for the last year," Riku stated, leaning back against a nearby chair. "I'll survive a little while longer." But Lightning... He wished she would back down at least once and let him take care of her. Was she still stuck in the mindset that she was alone?

Lightning looked down at her lap again, knowing Riku meant to get her to think about herself. He wanted her to be the woman he loved again and hoped to soften her up, but... "Soon, I'll be fighting on my own again," she said softly. She wasn't sure how relevant that was to the conversation, but deep down, she did know. She knew Riku was trying to remind her that she wasn't alone anymore, at least for now.
"Doubtful," Riku said, eyebrows furrowing. He wouldn't let that happen again. Lightning would have him by her side. How could she imagine he would leave her? She should have known--old or new Lightning--that he would be the one to be next to her for the rest of her life. Riku wasn't going anywhere.

Lightning blinked in surprise, looking up at Riku. "The plan is that you leave and train while I keep fighting Caius here," she reminded him. "That means splitting up." How could he have forgotten the plan? Both of them were against it for obvious reasons, but it seemed like the only one that would work.
Riku looked away at that. He knew that factor but... "Not forever," he said lowly, frowning. They would be split up, but not for long. He was going to come back, whether Lightning believed it or not.
  • Author
"Not forever," Lightning repeated softly. Maybe that was true, maybe it wasn't. With Caius, it was unpredictable. If she died, then the worlds were doomed though. That had to give her some motivation to fight cautiously and be patient for Riku. But she didn't want to be patient! She just wanted it to be over, right now. ...She wanted to be in his arms.
