Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shut her eyes, lifting one of her hands off Riku's back to rest on the back of his neck. His silver hair ran over the back of her hand, a sensation that she had nearly forgotten. She kissed him back gently, the moisture in her eyes staying there this time instead of slipping down her cheeks. She cried twice since Riku and Serah were here, and that was enough. Not because she hated showing emotion, but because she hated crying.
Riku took in the feeling of Lightning's response, her returning kiss. He had missed it, but only for a little while; time hadn't passed for him as much as it had for Lightning. That was both fortunate and unfortunate. She was without him for a year... That wasn't okay, ever.

Okay, maybe one tear. Moisture slid down Lightning's cheek again as she kissed Riku, and though the kiss wasn't extremely quick or passionate, that didn't mean that it didn't hold emotion. Gosh she missed this. She missed who she was with him. She missed him. She hoped to never be separated from him again...but...that was in the near future, wasn't it?
Riku pulled away from the kiss after a moment, the love he felt coming from Lightning making him nearly breathless. Me...breathless. Who would've thought it? His lips separated from Lightning's, but he didn't move too far away. He wanted Lightning as close as he could for as long as he could have her.

Light leaned her forehead against Riku's, eyes remaining shut for a few seconds before she opened them back up halfway. Like she thought before, Riku would have a hard time getting her away from him. She liked to think that she was going to be herself from now on--strong but willing to show emotions. She hoped she didn't sink back to how she was before. Because if she did...she didn't know if she'd be able to come back again.
Riku kept his eyes closed, just holding Lightning in the silence. There was a lamp on nearby, but it could have been dark and he could see fine. It wasn't because of his time in Darkness, though; his Light was right in front of him, guiding him through any darkness. And he hoped she was here to stay. Just remember what I said, he asked of her. My Claire is the strongest of them all.

After a few moments, Light adjusted herself so that her head was on Riku's shoulder again. She shut her eyes and leaned into him more as she felt the exhaustion from the battle come back to haunt her. She had nearly forgotten about it, with how wrapped up she was in emotion. It was the complete opposite of how she had been lately--so focused on the logical that she forgot emotions. She liked it better this way.
Riku felt Lightning's weight on him, more than before. He kept his hold on her, strong enough to hold both of them up. They needed to get to bed, he realized, since it was so late. Besides, Lightning deserved a good night's sleep for once. He would help give it to her, if he was allowed.

Light kept her eyes shut, exhaling a soft breath against Riku's neck. Well this wasn't what she planned for. She had planned to stay awake and come up with a plan until she passed out. Instead, she and Riku talked. Not just with words, but with actions as well. Yet she knew the passing out part still had to occur; she was beat.
Riku lifted a hand to the back of Lightning's head, his fingers threading through her soft hair. "We have the couch tonight, don't we?" he asked softly. The bed and chair in the back were taken, so he believed the couch was theirs for the taking. He wouldn't mind for tonight. Hopefully Light didn't either.

"Mm-hm," Lightning hummed without moving. Yes, they had the couch. It was either that or the floor. Obviously the floor had more room, but the couch was slightly more comfortable than the ground. Only slightly though. She couldn't wait to ditch this place. She couldn't wait to actually live life and not just be alive.
"Okay," Riku said softly. Then they should get to laying down. It was late, and they had a lot to figure out the next day. He would help Light brainstorm if he could, or he could help Noel try and find gates. They needed to get things moving.

Lightning told herself that she wouldn't let go of Riku willingly, and she meant it. Yet she knew that it was time for the two of them to at least sit down, so she lowered her hand from his neck and allowed it to weakly rest against his back. She hoped he knew that she wasn't planning on leaving him again any time soon, and she hoped to wake up the same person tomorrow morning.
Riku lowered his gaze to Lightning, trying to see her face. She was right next to the couch, so all she had to do was sit, and he would join her. But...he got the feeling Lightning wouldn't let go. For some reason...that was comforting. He liked that feeling.

Lightning knew they needed a loophole--at least, she did. She was too tired to be on her feet any longer. She released Riku from the hug but let one of her hands find his even if his arms had been around her. Then she lowered herself to the couch, automatically leaning back and shutting her eyes. She definitely needed some sleep.
Riku looked down at Lightning, still holding her hand. "Wrong," he said softly, shaking his head a little. There was no sitting up, only laying down. He leaned forward and lightly wrapped his hands around Lightning's waist, gently moving her so she could be lying down. He would join her once she was settled.

Lightning peeked her eyes open when Riku moved her, the sensation of his hands on her waist making her heart jump. She wanted to marry him. As soon as they were out of this mess, she was going to propose. Who cared about tradition? All that she cared about was being with him forever. She laid on her side, her back against the back of the couch as she faced the rest of the room and Riku.
Riku crawled in beside Lightning, letting his head rest against the arm of the couch as he looped his arm around Lightning's waist. He pulled her to his chest, wanting his Claire close for a while. He wasn't sure if she would be there when he woke up, but he could hope for it.

Light wrapped an arm over Riku's torso, shutting her eyes again as she pressed her face into his chest. This couch definitely wasn't comfortable, but Riku's arms were. That was good enough for her, exhausted or not. She nuzzled her face against his chest as she got cozier, feeling safe again in Riku's arms. That was the first time she felt that since he came here.
Riku let his chin rest against the top of Lightning's hair, feeling it tickle his chin as he closed his eyes. He held her as close as he could, securing her in his arms as they lay on the couch. Come morning, he hoped she didn't freak out upon seeing their position; he would like it, so he prayed she would too. He had his Light back, and he wanted her to stay.

Though Lightning's hold on Riku loosened when she passed out a minute later, it was still there. Just like she hoped it would be there when she woke up in the morning. If she couldn't have her house, then at least she had her home in Riku's arms. No matter where they were, he was her safe haven. Her home.

The next morning

Riku was an early riser despite his lack of sleep, so when the sun came up, he rose with it. He released a small breath through his nose, coming out of unconsciousness as he tightened his hold on what was in his arms. It was then that he remember it wasn't what was in his arms, but who. Lightning. He lowered his head against the armrest slightly, looking down at her with groggy eyes. Was she awake?

Lightning started to come to when she felt the squeeze, which stirred her out of her slumber. It occurred to her even then that she was in Riku's arms, and that the warmth she felt in front of her was him. Was she okay with this? Was she still...herself? When she heard herself hum tiredly and naturally nestled her face against him, she felt relieved. If she was allowing herself to be groggy and not bolt out of Riku's arms, she was still herself.
Riku smiled a little, lifting his hand to the back of Lightning's head. Good morning, he silently told her, running his thumb over her hair. She was waking up, he guessed...and clearly still herself. Lightning wasn't tearing herself from him like he expected. That was good...really good.

A small smile tugged at Lightning's lips, the young woman wrapping her one arm a little more tightly around Riku's back. "I'm gonna stay here a little while," she muttered. She knew she didn't want to leave here again before she had a plan, so she was going to try and come up with that right now. Rose wasn't the only one who was a good strategist.
