Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning nodded faintly. "We'll need to keep an eye out for him while we're out, but..." She looked back at him, having only glanced away for a brief moment. "But I can help you find a teacher." And be with him as he trained. And just...be away from here. She was so incredibly relieved by that.

Riku's crooked smile turned genuine as he nodded, moving his hand from the back of the couch to rest on Lightning's head. He looked to the two on the other side of the room, his smile fading as he returned to business. "So when are you two heading out?" he asked.

Noel looked to Serah. "I guess as soon as we can," he answered, looking from his newest partner to Riku. He didn't know any of them well, but he did trust them. That was enough to encourage him to get the ball rolling.

"You'll need help finding a gate," Lightning said to Noel and Serah. "We'll all go look together. Let's hope yesterday's fighting didn't destroy it." There was at least one in the city; there had to be. She refused to believe that Etro brought Noel here and trapped him. Something about Noel just told her that he was an important part in defeating Caius.
Noel nodded slightly, agreeing to that. He saw Riku start to rise from the couch to get going. Enough rest or not, they all needed to get a move on. Caius needed to be stopped, before something horrible happened. Noel came here for a reason, obviously. He had prayed to Etro to help him...and now she was. He couldn't just quit now.

Lightning rose to her feet, stretching herself out after a night on the uncomfortable couch. For some reason, she summoned her old armor--the silver armor with the feathers down one side-- rather than Rose's armor. After only a brief moment of thought, she realized why she did it: she entered this world as Lightning. That was how she wanted to leave as well.
Riku glanced over at Lightning when her clothes changed, and he fought the urge to smirk at her armor choice. He was proud of her, if that wasn't obvious already. He pushed the button on his armguard, summoning his own armor in a brief flash of light. He then nodded to Noel and Serah, figuring they could get a move on. Riku would fly above on his glider for now, just to make things a little easier. Finding a gate could take a while otherwise.

Lightning moved over to the door, pulling it open and motioning for everyone to follow. "We move quickly and silently," she said. Neither would make much of a difference for long though. Caius would find them whether they were quiet or not. But if they could flee before he found them, maybe they'd have a chance to hide for a while. It was their only hope.

Noel nodded slightly, letting Serah leave the house before he did. That would be easy, following Lightning's order. He was a hunter, and being quick and silent were his specialties. He looked over when he saw Riku's Keyblade be chucked a few yards ahead, where a strange machine appeared, hovering a bit off the ground. "What are you doing?" he asked lowly. "Caius will see you."

"But he can't catch me," Riku replied shortly, approaching his glider and climbing on. He would search from above. It would be easier that way. Besides, Caius wouldn't suspect anything if he was just flying around. If someone was with him, that would be different.

Light was hesitant to let Riku fly above, but he did have the speed to get away from Caius if he appeared in the skies. "If he comes after you, flee," she told Riku. They weren't looking for a fight today; they were looking for a gate. Getting wrapped up and distracted with Caius wasn't on their to-do list.
"Right," Riku said, lifting his glider off the ground. He looked to Lightning, Serah, and Noel for a moment before lifting a hand, saluting them before he took off into the sky. He would do his part from above. With luck, he might find something.

Lightning led Serah and Noel to a part of the city that she normally didn't visit. It wasn't terribly far from Etro's temple, but it was on the north side of the city. Generally, she was in the south. She cautiously walked ahead of the two younger ones and the flying moogle, eyes searching desperately for something. And then she saw it. She grunted, taking off in a sprint towards it as she heard Serah call out her name. That was a gate up ahead! And not too far away from that one...another!
Noel grunted when Lightning took off, his walk faltering. "W-wait!" he called, reaching for Lightning before he too started off in a sprint to go after her. "Serah, c'mon!" He faced forward after calling to her over his shoulder, following Lightning's lead. When he looked up, he also noticed someone flying in circles up ahead. Riku saw the gate too, didn't he?

Lightning heard Serah and Noel's steps behind her as she stopped at one of the gates. They weren't like the rift that she travelled through to get here; they were different. Looking into the picture, she could see a very familiar Gran Pulse. That would lead her to...that year and place? That looked like where she was supposed to be. Was this really happening?
Riku saw that he wasn't the only one who located a gate, and he lowered his glider so he was hovering about ten feet off the ground. He saw Noel and Serah coming up behind Lightning, who was staring at the gate. "What is it?" he asked. He knew it was a gate, but what was she looking at? The look on her face was almost...surprised.

"This looks like it'll take us back to the year we left from," Lightning said, glancing over at Riku as she spoke. "Out of all the years it could be going to, it looks like home. ...I guess I'm just surprised with good luck these days." So she and Riku could take this one, and Serah and Noel could go through the other one. Whatever time period it took them to, hopefully Caius would be there. He certainly wasn't in the time period Lightning and Riku came from.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed behind his helmet, not that anyone could tell. He guessed a gate was the only way out of here, so it was worth a shot. He jumped off his glider, landing smoothly on his feet a second later. His glider disappeared as his Keyblade appeared in his hand, the young man then looking to Noel and Serah. "What are you two going to do?" He guessed they would take the other one, but where would it even take them? What would they do?

"We'll improvise," Serah said with a crooked smile. At least this gate would lead them out of Valhalla. Lightning told them before that the timeline should have others along the way, so they'd go wherever the gates led them. Hopefully things would work out in their favor and they could defeat Caius somehow.
Riku nodded slightly. "Be careful," he encouraged lowly. He cared for Serah a lot, since he had been with Lightning so long. She was a lot like a sibling to him, similar to Kairi or Namine. He didn't want her getting hurt. And Noel... Riku felt they had the potential to be friends in the future. He didn't want him running into trouble either.

"We will," Serah promised, stepping up to Lightning and giving her a hug before she could protest. Though Lightning looked down at her in surprise, the older sister did hug her in return. "See you soon," she told Lightning gently. She shut her eyes, not seeing the faint glow that briefly lit Lightning and then Serah before disappearing quickly. Lightning passed some of Etro's power to her sister to assist her.
Riku watched the exchance, also witnessing the passing of power. He wasn't naive; he knew what it was at the start. Lightning was lending some of her strength to Serah for this journey, and Riku agreed that she would need it. It wouldn't be easy.

Lightning and Serah both pulled back from the embrace, though Lightning's one hand lingered on Serah's shoulder. Serah was all that she had for a very long time. Letting her go now was only possible because Lightning knew that it was only a temporary goodbye. Serah wouldn't die...People like her didn't just die. She was immune from it somehow because she was such a great person. They would see each other again someday--hopefully soon.
Noel watched the exchange between the sisters before he took a step toward the gate. "Serah," he called softly. "We have to go, before it closes." He wasn't sure where it would take them, but it was their first step in their new journey. They were meant to stop Caius, somehow, to save the future. Noel didn't want it to become what he lived the past eighteen years.

Serah nodded faintly, coming out of Lightning's embrace. She swallowed the lump in her throat, trying to ignore the awful feeling she had in the pit of her stomach. This was... "Goodbye," Serah said, stepping away from Lightning and heading over to give Riku a hug as well. He was her sister's soul mate, and Serah's friend. Of course she was going to give him a hug as well.
Riku still had his armor on, but upon seeing Serah come over to him, he summoned it away. He had faith in her, and hopefully she could see that by the look on his face. When she was close, he took a small step forward and wrapped his arms around her. Much like he was to Kairi and Namine, Riku was protective of her. He prayed Noel would keep her safe.

"Take care of Lightning for me," Serah said softly, hugging Riku back and leaning her head against his shoulder in a sad way. She wished that she could add on that he only needed to care for her until Serah came back, but...would she even come back? This feeling in her heart...It was telling her to say her last goodbyes. Maybe she wouldn't ever see the two of them again. That was why she had to make sure that Lightning was going to be okay.
