Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku held Serah closer at that, not liking the way Serah made that sound. "I will," he promised her gently, eyebrows furrowing slightly. The feeling she just gave him, it made him more scared for her...and nervous. It caused him to turn his head and place a brotherly kiss on the top of Serah's head. "Stay strong."

Serah nodded softly, gently withdrawing from the embrace. "Of course," she said with a small smile. "I'm Claire's sister." Over to the side, Lightning's ears perked up at the sound of her old name. Before this whole thing began, Serah said the name out of bitterness. She meant for it to hurt. This time, she meant for it to heal. She glanced over at Noel, starting over towards him and Mog. It was time to leave.
Riku watched Serah go, his eyes trailing her and Noel's movements as they made their way toward the gate. Noel gently grasped Serah's wrist and held it out to the gate, which opened it for them. Riku witnessed it in silence, his eyes growing at the sight. He'd seen gates work before, but...it was still quite a sight.

Lightning watched Noel and Serah rise into the air a few feet, seeing her sister turn and give her one last glance. Her eyes were...gentle. Light couldn't explain the look in Serah's eyes, because she didn't get the vibe that Riku did when Serah embraced him. So she lifted a hand and gave Serah a small nod and wave, seeing her sister smile weakly in return before she and Noel disappeared.
Riku saw the gate disappear, along with his and Lightning's friends. Once they were gone, he turned to the woman he loved. "Our turn?" he asked, then looking to the gate they were near. It was time they left Valhalla too, finally.

Light looked away from where the gate had been, nodding to Riku. "Our turn," she said softly. It was time to finally get out of this place. They'd have to return sometime, but that would be to end it all. Not take part in a war that wasn't going to ever end. She reached for his hand, turning towards the gate. It was time.
Riku took a few steps toward Lightning and grasped her hand, following her gaze to the gate. He squinted slightly because of its bright light, but he knew it wouldn't hurt them. Only Darkness did in their pasts, and hopefully this war would be the last of it.

Light gripped Riku's hand, not loosely and not super tightly. But she remembered what happened last time, with losing Serah's grip and coming to Valhalla alone for a year. She wasn't about to let that happen again. She lifted her free hand to the gate once she was a step or two closer, seeing it react. It would take them to Gran Pulse, but at least it was the era they needed.
Riku looked down when he and Lightning were lifted into the air, but he kept his grip on her hand secure. No way was he losing her through one of these things again. He closed his eyes when the bright light engulfed them, and then he felt weightless, aware that they were traveling through the Historia Crux to reach their destination.

Even in the Historia Crux where they wouldn't be separated, Lightning kept her grip on Riku's hand. And he, obviously, did the same. Last time she came to Valhalla, it was through a spacetime distortion, not a gate. So this was her first time in the Historia Crux. Not that there was much to see--just orange everywhere and black circles that they were floating within. This wasn't their real destination, just the path to it. They'd be out in a minute.
Riku looked around the Historia Crux for a moment, before he then saw a gate not too far off. "Hey," he said, squeezing Lightning's hand as he looked ahead. He guessed that was their next stop, wherever they were going. He hadn't seen where exactly the gate would take them before they left. As long as they were out of Valhalla.

Light glanced over at Riku and then followed his gaze to the gate. There it was. She squinted lightly, seeing a picture of Gran Pulsian plains. They'd have to watch out for beasts once they got there, but.. Are you kidding? she asked herself as they stopped right in front of the gate and activated it. Monsters--even the big ones--shouldn't be a challenge anymore. You've fought off something much stronger than that for the past year.
Another bright light engulfed them, and Riku found his feet settling onto soft grass. He opened his eyes and looked around, seeing a large Pulsian beast--much like a dinosaur--roaming around a few miles away. He grunted, but in happiness. Finally, they were in familiar territory. About time.

Light looked to one of the biggest beasts around, sighing and smiling in happiness. Finally, she was in a place that didn't feel like death. There was a sun in the sky, a light breeze blowing, and the sounds of nature rather than eerie silence. She had never been so happy to be surrounded by huge, intimidating monsters.
Riku kept his grip on Lightning's hand, looking over at her and seeing that smile. It brought one out of him too, the young man glad to see her happy again. "Why did the gate bring us here?" he asked, getting back to business. Why not the Islands?
  • Author
"Because this world is most connected to Etro," Lightning said as she looked around. "With what fading strength she had, I suppose that gates are scattered across Gran Pulse and Cocoon in different eras, not the other worlds." That meant that they'd have to fly to Destiny Islands, but she didn't see that as a big deal. This is a taste of freedom... It was marvelous.

"Mm," Riku hummed in understanding, looking around again. There was a gentle breeze that shifted his short hair, and he closed his eyes at the feeling. There hadn't been such a thing as "fresh air" in Valhalla. He was only there for a few days and this felt refreshing. He couldn't imagine what Lightning thought of it all.

Lightning shut her eyes as well, not finding there to be any rush now that they were out of Valhalla and time really mattered. She didn't care for that moment. All that she cared about was taking in a deep breath and feeling something in the air other than death. Something other than sorrow and hopelessness. The opposites of them. She felt the opposing emotions, but they weren't completely taking her. They still had work to do before that could happen.
After a moment, Riku opened his eyes and looked to the hand he was holding, then finding his beloved's face. She looked relaxed, and he was happy to see it. She had been so uptight lately... Riku lifted his hand from hers and set it on Lightning's shoulder, giving it a squeeze. You're gonna be okay, again. I promise.

Light opened her eyes, glancing over at Riku as she wrapped an arm around his lower back and gently leaned against him. She definitely felt more like herself here, even if she had been in her old clothes the last time she was here and not her silver armor. Nevertheless, no matter how much like herself she felt, she knew that they couldn't linger here. "We need to go," she said softly. "Looks like we're being eyed for dinner." The beasts were all a way off, but they were beginning to notice their presence.
Riku smirked a little. "Anywhere specific?" he asked. He would be their mode of transportation, obviously. So wherever they needed to go, he would gladly escort Lightning. Then again, home wouldn't be a good choice. They needed to find someone to teach him how to extract hearts.

"Wherever you think you can find a teacher," Lightning said, looking away from the beasts and up to Riku's eyes. He had a better idea than she did about that. After all, he was the Keyblade wielder. At least he had people to choose from since there were a lot of Keyblade wielders in this era. One of them had to be able to help...right?
Riku's smirk slowly disappeared as he looked away from Lightning and to the ground, thinking. Who did he know that could extract hearts, or at least have some knowledge of it? Master Yen Sid probably didn't know; there were some things even he was clueless about. Master Eraqus might have...but then again, he could just go ask Terra and Aqua; they were around Master Xehanort a lot and witnessed him extract hearts in the past. Maybe they had some idea....

Lightning looked away to give Riku some privacy, her arm coming back down to her side. She knew the same Keybladers as Riku, except for the one she knew better than he did. Kain. She blinked at the memory of him, having nearly forgotten. ...How much else did she forget about her life here? Now that she realized it, being in such a big, open, and free place was...intimidating. She felt lost mentally from being away for so long.
Worth a shot, Riku figured, turning his head to look at Lightning. He saw her expression, and while it unsettled him, he knew now wasn't the time to worry about it. "We need to head to the Islands," he said, stepping away and pressing the button on his armguard. His armor appeared in a blink of an eye, as did his Keyblade. He needed to talk to Terra and Aqua.
