Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku lowered his gaze to the floor at that, sitting on the couch. He had Darkness, and he embraced it because it was his, a part of who he was. He could use it to extract the heart, but he believed his will was strong enough to do it too. He wanted to save everyone, in the only way he could.

"I think you can do it," Terra said. "You have control of your Darkness. You can do it and have control of the situation at the same time. But you should practice before going for Caius. You can't really do that with people though, so maybe Heartless?" The name wasn't quite fitting for the monsters, considering that they had hearts. But if Riku could extract their hearts, he could extract Caius's. Hopefully.
Riku lifted his gaze to Terra at that. Practice on the Heartless? He never even thought about it. "It's worth a shot, I guess," he said. He just knew that he did need to do this right. If practice made perfect, he would do it. But still, he needed to learn how to do it.

"I'll try my best to show you," Terra said as he rose to his feet. "Which world do you want to go to?" There were plenty of worlds with Heartless, but they'd want to go to one that was secluded. And one that had weaker Heartless. It was hard enough to extract a heart without the enemy fighting back against you. But they had to try; Riku made that much clear.

Riku rose to his feet as well, though he was silent as he thought of a world to go to. But then it clicked. "Radiant Garden," he said. "We can use Xehanort's old lab." They could use the Heartless there and he could learn to extract the hearts within them. It would be just like defeating them and releasing the hearts, but in a less violent way.

"You're leaving?" Aqua asked from her spot in the doorway. Her friends had been so wrapped up in their conversation, they hadn't heard her enter. She caught Riku's gaze, seeing that there was nothing but determination in his gaze. What was going on?

Terra blinked in surprise, looking over at Aqua. "Just for a little while," he answered after a moment. They'd be back tonight to sleep, he was sure. It was going to be exhausting work. But...he knew right away that Aqua wouldn't take well to this. In order for Terra to show Riku, he would have to dive into his own Darkness. Aqua didn't have a problem with Terra utilizing it in battle, but diving into it was another matter.
"What for?" Aqua asked, keeping her spot by the door. Something terrible was going on, wasn't it? Why else would Riku look like that, or be back from his trip so soon? Whatever that was... She didn't like the vibe she got, her eyes set on Terra.

"There's something he wants to see that's connected to Xehanort. I thought I'd take him and help if I can," Terra said. It was vague and a little twisted, but it wasn't too far from the truth. Extracting hearts was connected to Xehanort after all, and Riku wanted to see it. And it wasn't certain if Terra could help yet. He hoped he could, but he hadn't extracted a heart since that day with Maleficent.
Aqua's eyebrows furrowed a little. She and Terra had been on the rocks lately with their relationship, bickering about pointless things and not showing much affection at all. When Terra said "something," she knew he was keeping something from her. He was never straightforward with her anymore. She looked to Riku for confirmation, seeing him nod once. "...Alright," she said softly. "Be back before dinner. It's Ven's turn to cook tonight." Ven always appreciated it when they were all together for the meal.

"I will," Terra said with a small nod. He glanced over at Riku and Lightning, sure that they were as glad as he was that Aqua wasn't prying any further. "You guys ready?" He noticed Lightning nod faintly, but her gaze lingered on Riku like his did. Riku was the one who was going to do the most work after all.
Riku's hand balled into fists at the question, slightly hesitant. But he nodded. "Yeah," he said. It was time they got a move on. Caius wouldn't give them a lot of time, so they had to do this quickly.

Terra nodded as well. "Okay." He started towards the door, hearing Lightning follow a few steps behind him. "See you later," he said to Aqua as they passed. He didn't bother stopping and giving her a kiss; the circumstances were too dire for that, whether she knew it or not. And besides...those casual signs of affection weren't really present in their relationship anymore.
Aqua nodded to Terra, then looking to Lightning and Riku. "Be careful," she requested of all of them. She wasn't sure what they were doing, but it seemed dangerous. Not even a kiss or touch from Terra... It didn't sit well with Aqua, but she let it go. She caught Riku nod to her before they all left the house, and she was left to her thoughts.

Later that day

"I'm not sure what's...wrong," Terra sighed, looking at his Keyblade in his grasp. For old time's sake, he even had the same Keyblade that he used to extract Aurora's heart. But that wasn't helping with the Heartless so far. They'd been at this for two hours and Riku was just as close to freeing a heart as Terra was. At least they had a full stock of Heartless. Down here in this underground lab, the Heartless swarmed. And Lightning held an old tool of Xehanort's: a stun gun that made Heartless immobile for a long time. But they still couldn't do it. He was growing frustrated, though he had an idea of why it wasn't working. I'm not diving into my Darkness.

Riku furrowed his eyebrows as he concentrated on the Heartless before him, his Keyblade pointed at the beast. He ground his teeth together as he focused, but he grunted, sighing a heavy breath. "I'm not getting anything either," he said, tilting his head as he looked at his Keyblade in question. What was going on?

"Maybe...the Darkness does need to consume you," Terra wondered aloud, voice soft. That was how it was before. He was trying to channel his Darkness the best he could now, but he was still new to that. Riku was experienced, but without Terra knowing exactly what he was doing, it'd be a miracle for Riku to get it on his own. This was a desperate situation, so...Terra would have to at least try it.
Riku turned his head, looking over at Terra. He noticed the look on the guy's face, and he shook his head. "Don't," he said lowly. "I'll do it myself. We can't have you..." We can't have you falling to Darkness again. It wasn't that he doubted Terra. He just didn't want him to get hurt. He used his Darkness to defeat Xehanort, permanently. But still, there were consequences.

Terra shook his head, looking over at Riku. "You wouldn't know what feeling to pursue," he said. "I have more of a clue of how to do this than you do. I at least need to try it." Xehanort was still locked up tight, even if Terra expended some Darkness. He had to be! After all the trouble of locking Xehanort up, he couldn't get out now.
"Just tell me what feeling I need," Riku insisted, looking at the man who stood only an inch taller. He didn't want Terra getting hurt at his expense, since he was the one who asked for help. All Terra needed to do was tell him what feeling he needed to tap into, right?

"I...don't know," Terra confessed, looking down at his Keyblade with a faint glare. He wasn't good at describing feelings, especially one like that. It was like a metal detector. When he gave up control to his Darkness, he moved his Keyblade to the right place and just got this...sensation. Not necessarily a dark one, but it definitely wasn't light.
Riku didn't know what to say to that. There had to be some other way. He didn't want his predecessor to get into trouble with Darkness because he needed a favor. He would find something else, someone else. Riku looked back to the Heartless that was unconscious just ahead, on a table. Maybe he could just...experiment, and see what he could do.

"I'm going to try it, okay?" Terra said, looking back up at Riku. He had to at least give it a shot. Diving into Darkness one time wasn't going to undo the chains that kept Master Xehanort locked up. What was the worst that could happen? Last time, the Darkness didn't make him attack anyone. Hopefully it wouldn't this time either. If it did...they just had to knock him out.
Riku turned his sight to Terra again, meeting the man's eyes. He hesitated, but nodded, also giving Terra some breathing room as he took a few steps away. He wasn't sure what exactly Terra was going to do, but if something went wrong...

Terra walked over to the table, holding his Keyblade in his grasp as he stopped by the still Heartless. It's alright, he told himself as he stared at the creature. It's your power. Let it take control for just one minute. He shut his eyes, inhaling a soft breath through his nose and then exhaling it. He repeat the process, feeling his Darkness come to the surface as green flames of Darkness emited from him. When he opened his eyes, they were blank. It was like he was unconscious, in a way, as he lifted his Keyblade and performed the same thing he did years ago. Once the light around the tip of his Keyblade disappeared and he pulled it away, the heart rose to the ceiling and the Heartless vanished.
Riku grunted slightly, surprised by the green flames. Flames like that could only remind him of a witch he despised--Maleficent. She was the one who caused Terra to do this the first time, wasn't she? That would explain the lingering flames, at least. He watched the heart rise to the ceiling, no doubt returning to Kingdom Hearts. So...it was just like that?
