Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light shook her head, lifting her hands to Riku's face to try and get him to look at her. "Somebody needs to be there to snap you out of it," she said gently, eyes dancing over his face. If she hadn't been there the first time, she wasn't sure what would have happened. The second time too. It was good he came out of it more quickly, but other than that, there wasn't much good about it.
Riku glanced up at Lightning before diverting his gaze again, eyebrows furrowing. "Let Terra do it..." he tried to reason. "I don't want to hurt you. It was too close just now. I could've..." He couldn't finish his sentence again, sighing softly as he closed his eyes. He took in the feeling of Lightning's hands on his face, not knowing what to do. He knew he needed to try again, but Lightning couldn't be in there. Riku didn't want to risk hurting her again.

Light moved her hands back, her fingers gently weaving into Riku's hair. As foreign as it felt, it just felt natural and right at the same time. So she didn't question it. "I need to be the one to do it," she said gently. "And you need to trust yourself. I know you won't do that again." He retained more of his will this time, but his focus was on the wrong heart. If he was focused on the Heartless this time, he could succeed.
Riku took in a soft breath, feeling Lightning's fingers in his hair. How long had it been since she'd done that? "...I was just so worried about you," he confessed lowly, opening his eyes to look at her. His aquamarine orbs met her blue. "I wanted to protect you...and I guess I focused too much on that." He was worried about her heart, so that was what his Keyblade went after. It made sense, even if it was unsettling.

Lightning nodded faintly, keeping her eyes on Riku. "It's alright," she said gently. She figured it was something like that. She was on his mind, so he aimed at her. It happened. She was trying to keep her thoughts logical rather than emotional, because...it had been hard, seeing Riku look at her so blankly and point the weapon at her. She didn't like it.
Riku lifted one of his hands to Lightning's arm, resting it just below her wrist. "Sorry...if I scared you," he apologized softly. He hadn't meant to. His Darkness just didn't know how to react to his thoughts. He snapped on the inside, so everything backfired.

Light nodded softly in silence. She knew he was sorry. And she knew that he was just as scared as she had been. Both of them were obviously still a little shaken from it. So, she figured that they should take a break from it. Clear their minds. Time wasn't on their side, but they had to make time for this one.
Riku closed his eyes after a moment, taking in the feeling of Lightning's close presence. True, he had it yesterday, but...it still felt like a while. They just hadn't had the quality time lately, as sad as that was. Hopefully once things with Caius settled down, they would be able to take control of their lives and have them merge together.

Lightning slowly took her hands out of Riku's hair, setting them on his shoulders instead as she shut her eyes. Terra probably wasn't wondering where they were; he had to have heard part of the conversation since Riku's voice had grown louder a few times. Everything was fine anyway. No Heartless were ambushing them, and no Caius. Everything was okay for now.
"Can you do me a favor?" Riku asked after a moment of silence. He had a request, and while it wasn't one that was really significant, he was going to ask for it anyway, just because. He may have been done for the day, but he still just needed something.
  • Author
"What is it?" Lightning asked softly. She was in the habit of asking what a favor was before agreeing to it, even if she would do just about anything for Riku. Unless, of course, it involved letting him face danger without her. She'd always stand up to him when it came to safety.

Riku opened his eyes to look at Lightning, gazing at her while she was so close. "Go tell Terra I'm okay...?" he asked softly. "I just...need a minute to myself." He needed to clear his head for a second, to at least shake off the nerves. He couldn't do that with Lightning here, since he almost hurt her.

Light nodded softly. "I can do that," she assured him softly, giving his shoulders a gentle squeeze as she held them. That was an easy favor to do. She just hoped that he wouldn't run off or anything while she did that. But...she'd just have to trust him. He wasn't the type to run away. She slowly released him, turning around and starting back the way that she came to fulfill Riku's request.
Riku watched Lightning walk away, and when she was near the door, he lowered himself to sit on the stairs. He buried his head in his hands, elbows on his knees as he sighed. "Get it together," he mumbled, trying to encourage himself. He couldn't fail like that again. It would be ugly if he actually had those actions go through.

Terra accepted Lightning's news easily and then said that he was going to head back to the Islands a while. He was long past missing dinner and hoped that Aqua wouldn't yell at him too harshly. Ven would be understanding of it; after all, Ven was the type of person who always put his friends first when they were in crisis. Terra quietly stepped inside the house, fearing Aqua a lot more than he feared Ven.
It was Aqua's turn to do dishes tonight, and since it had only been her and Ven at dinner, it wasn't too much to handle. She scrubbed a pan that Ven used to cook, doing it vigorously, with more pressure than she really needed. She was just so aggravated! She specifically told Terra to not be late, and he didn't even show up! Even an hour after dinner was over...

Avoiding her will only make her more angry, Terra told himself. He ran a hand through his brunet hair as he headed to the kitchen, blinking when he saw Aqua taking out anger on the dishes. Oh boy. Nevertheless...he couldn't turn back now. "I could do the rest of those dishes," he offered, standing inside the doorway.
Aqua stopped scrubbing at the voice, briefly glancing over her shoulder. But she focused on the dish in her hands again, frowning. "I've got it," she replied curtly, scrubbing as she fought her anger. It was never good to give into it, but Terra was just...ticking her off! She couldn't rely on him anymore, on top of everything else.

Terra took a few steps closer, though he stopped when he saw how tightly she was holding that frying pan. Frying pans were surprisingly good weapons, so he'd rather not get close to her while she was holding the weapon in her hand. "...Are you sure?" he offered again. He was trying to fix things, but he needed some help here. Was she going to let him at least try to make up for missing dinner?

Aqua continued scrubbing, but after a moment, she grunted in defeat, dropping the pan in the sink. Her hands were still sudsy, but she didn't care. She only glared at the pan, the sound of it hitting the sink ringing in her ears, as well as Terra's question. Why was he trying to fix things now? Why didn't he try earlier, when things started going wrong?!

Oh boy, Terra thought again. This was more than just him missing dinner. He had figured that from the start, but...both of them were in denial these days. They were having a few issues. Arguing over the stupidest, smallest stuff, doing things separately when they could...Things weren't great. And he didn't know how to fix it.

Aqua fought the sudden stinging in her eyes, knowing that they were tears that wanted to well and escape. But she wouldn't let them. Aqua never cried, and she wouldn't start now. "...You missed dinner," she said tightly. She told Terra specifically to be back in time because it was Ven's night for cooking, but he went against his word.

"I know," Terra said with a small nod. "I'm sorry." And he truly was regretful; training Riku took longer than expected. And they didn't even get him extracting hearts yet. Almost, but not quite. He'd probably have to go again tomorrow...and that was his night to cook. He'd definitely have to be back in time for that.
"Sorry won't fix it, Terra," Aqua said, closing her eyes as she furrowed her eyebrows. She didn't want to hear it anymore; she was fed up with him being so...weird lately. Granted, she wasn't any better, but she at least tried to fix things sometimes. It seemed like Terra had completely given up on them lately, and it hurt.

"I know," Terra said again. He knew that apologizing wasn't going to fix anything, but he said it because he truly was sorry. As much as he wished sorry would work, he and Aqua were in a fragile state. Terra couldn't look at her the same way that he used to--with romantic passion. It was...different.
