Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Then don't waste your breath," Aqua said quietly, turning and looking at the man she found herself loving lately. However, something changed, with both of them. That was half the reason the tears were starting to appear; she was sad, that they were losing themselves as far as relationships went. But she wouldn't cry, since Aqua never cried. Ever. And she wouldn't start now.

Terra couldn't deny that he still cared about Aqua; the sight of her eyes being moist made his heart ache and guilt arise into his throat. But if she didn't want to hear him speak, then he wouldn't. He nodded softly and stepped towards the sink to finish those dishes. He supposed that it was in his best interest to stay quiet.
"No," Aqua said, lifting a hand when Terra stepped toward the sink. "I told you, I've got it." Her voice shook slightly as she fought the urge to cry, but she didn't let herself do it. She wouldn't. Terra wouldn't make her cry. Best friends never made each other cry, but that was exactly what they were, wasn't it? All they were...best friends. Nothing more.

Terra stopped where he was, again only nodding faintly. He guessed...there wasn't any point in him staying here, then. He wasn't going to say anything more in case it came out wrong, and he wasn't needed to do the dishes. He looked at Aqua for a few more seconds before he turned and started out. That didn't go well at all.
Aqua watched Terra go, her eyes on his back as he left her alone in the kitchen. Once he was gone, she turned back to the sink and returned to scrubbing the dishes. She had to take her anger out on something, so it might as well be the grime on the pans and plates.

Later that night, Lightning found herself in her home. So strange that she herself inhabited it a few days ago. But a year passed for her. A year of pain. She laid down on her side while Riku's dog Jasmine laid in front of her on the couch. Riku brought the dog over because he knew animals were therapeutic. Sometimes, you just needed to cuddle up to something warm. Of course Riku planned on being the one Lightning would be next to later, but while he was in the shower, Jasmine was filling that position.

Riku didn't bother putting on a shirt when he was done with the shower, instead wearing some lounge pants over his underwear. It was late, and he was tired. He and Lightning already had some small snacks, so hunger wasn't an issue. He ran the towel over his hair, making it messy before he ran his fingers through it, taming it. Throwing the towel in the hamper, Riku left the bathroom and stepped into hall, feeling cool air hit his warm skin. His eyes located the love of his life on the couch once he was in the living room, his canine companion in front of her. Comfort, that was what Lightning needed. While Riku showered, Jazz took his place.

Light kept her eyes shut, even if the television was on softly in the room. Any little bit of noise was better than the silence of Valhalla, even though the stuff on the television seemed irrelevant compared to what she and Riku were facing. She kept an arm over the dog's body as she relaxed in pants and a tank top. This was home, and it was starting to feel like it now that she was here again and not alone.
Riku approached the couch, the smallest of smiles on his lips as he knelt down in front of it. "Good girl," he told Jazz, patting her head before motioning for her to get off the couch. She followed the command in silence, getting out from under Lightning's hold and leaving the room, surely going to the dog bed in the corner of the room. Lightning bought it a while ago, just in case Jazz did stay here sometimes. It turned out it was a good investment.

Light opened her eyes when the dog left her, bringing her arm closer to her body as she propped herself up a little bit. She felt her heart ache again because of Riku without a shirt. Not that it was unpleasant to look at, but because even that felt foreign to her. And she hated that. But she hid that, eyes dancing over Riku's face in silence. He looked like he felt refreshed.
Riku let his eyes find Lightning in the silence, his small smile remaining as he looked at her. "Hey, baby," he greeted gently. She looked exhausted, and he didn't blame her. She probably didn't get a lot of sleep the past year, always on guard and such. Hopefully that would change tonight.

"Hey handsome," Lightning greeted softly, surprising herself. She really hadn't had any problems with personas since the previous night when she slept in Riku's arms. And being in this world was healthy for her as well. She felt like she left Rose back in Valhalla, and now she was Lightning again. Maybe a little stunned that so much changed for her but not for the rest of the world, but she was still Lightning.
Riku's smile grew a little as he lifted his hand, caressing Lightning's face gently. "You look tired," he told her quietly. They could head on to bed if she wanted, or they could just watch some television. But he did have to get back to work on extracting the heart in the morning. He couldn't neglect that mission.

Lightning nodded her cheek softly against the cushions. "I'm comfortable though," she said quietly. And she wasn't just talking about the piece of furniture. She was talking about being back home in general, and having Riku with her. It felt like they could almost imagine away everything that happened in Valhalla and pick up their lives where they left off. Almost.
"You'll be more comfortable in bed," Riku said, pushing Lightning's hair away from her face as he spoke. Besides, there was more room for him on the bed, and they would both be comfortable that way. He was tired too, so they could just hit two birds with one stone.

"Maybe," Lightning agreed softly, briefly shutting her eyes when Riku moved her hair off of her cheek before opening them again. Gosh this was so foreign. Being in a comfortable environment and accepting Riku's affection like there was nothing wrong. It was a nice dream to think that Caius was gone and everything was fine. For now, at least, everything was. She had him again.
Riku shook his head a little. "Am I gonna have to carry you?" he asked, taking his hand back. He wouldn't be surprised, since even Lightning had her lazy moments. But he didn't mind carrying her, especially bridal style. It let him imagine a day when he really could carry her like that as her husband, she his bride.

Light smiled crookedly. "I think you'd prefer it that way," she stated. First off, Riku was always looking for opportunities to show off his strength. And secondly, he jumped on opportunities to be close. Even if they were going to be in each other's arms the entire night, she knew that he wouldn't mind getting a head start here and now.
Riku chuckled a little. "You too," he said, rising to his feet. He reached over and lightly turned the woman he loved so he could pick her up easily, lifting her to his bare chest. She had stared at his muscles before, since he was shirtless; he wasn't blind. It only made him feel better about himself, that he was attractive enough for Lightning.

"Put words into my mouth, why don't you," Lightning scolded gently, wrapping one arm around Riku's shoulders and the other around the front of his torso as her hands sat on his opposite shoulder. Even if the words were casual, her heart was beating out of her chest. She hadn't been picked up in over a year. She hadn't had somebody else truly take care of her for that long. And now, out of all the emotions that she felt, reassurance was the strongest. She really wasn't alone.
Riku's smile remained as he leaned forward, placing a kiss in Lightning's hair as he walked back toward the bedroom. He held Lightning close, feeling the skin of her arms on his shoulders. It was nice, that skin-on-skin contact. He missed any contact with her, since there hadn't been much lately. Rose had been in the way, unfortunately.

"You think a kiss is gonna make it all right, huh?" Lightning asked softly, though the phrase had a double-meaning. In a playful sort of way, she meant that Riku thought a kiss was going to make her forget that he put words in her mouth. And in a serious way, she meant what she said. Was a kiss going to make everything better again in their lives? Make all the pain and sorrow go away?
"Not completely," Riku murmured into Lightning's hair, though he then looked down at her as he entered the bedroom. "But it's a start." He was going to make everything okay again. Soon...Lightning would be his fiance. He would turn their lives around as soon as this mess with Caius was over with. Lightning deserved happiness, and Riku wanted to be the one to give it to her.

Light leaned her head against Riku's shoulder, nodding softly. "It's a start," she repeated softly. They both knew that they were talking about their lives now, not some petty detail of conversation anymore. She shut her eyes even if they were in her room now, her cheek against Riku's bare shoulder. She just wanted another minute here.
Riku made his way to the bed, which was big enough for the both of them. He leaned over, starting to set Lightning down. She wasn't very heavy, but carrying her helped him show off his muscles. He went to the gym for her, to get stronger, look good, and protect her. It was one of his duties now, and if not that, a vow. From now on, he was Light's guardian.
