Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's sensitive ears caught Lightning's labored breathing, and it actually surprised him. He gave her another kiss on her collarbone before lifting his head, looking down at her as he kept his place above her. "You okay?" he asked, smiling crookedly in satisfaction. He was the one doing this to her... It was a good feeling, since he knew the reactions were positive, not negative.

Light nodded faintly, peeking her eyes open. "Yeah," she finally breathed, cheeks red. "But..." But she couldn't go any further tonight. Riku was forgetting that she was without any affection for a year, and having it all smothered on her now was too overwhelming. Even with good things, being overwhelmed to this extent really wasn't good.
"...But you need me to stop," Riku assumed, his thumb rubbing over the skin of Lightning's side, his hand still there. He could tell that was where this was going, since Lightning tried to ease him up before. He thought it was just because he hurt her when he nibbled briefly on her skin. Apparently it was more than that. He wasn't doing something wrong...was he?

Lightning nodded softly. "Now's not the best time," she stated quietly. Not only was Caius around and threatening them, but also because Lightning just wasn't in the emotional place for it right now. It felt so good, but it was too much for her. She hoped Riku would understand that it was her fault that it had to stop and not his.
Riku's crooked smile slowly faded, the young man nodding. "Right," he said softly. He leaned forward and pecked Lightning on the lips before rolling over, getting off of her and onto his side of the bed. Maybe...he did push it too far. But, he couldn't really control himself in moments like those. It was hard too, when he loved Claire so much.

Light shut her eyes, trying to compose herself. It was bittersweet that Riku backed off, but it was good. They both had to realize that. She turned her head after a few moments and looked over at him, again hoping that he understood why she slammed the brakes on everything.
Riku had to fight to catch his breath, not realizing that his breathing had been labored until now. He released a heavy breath as he stared up at the ceiling, heart racing still. That was nice while it lasted, at least. Hopefully more moments like that would come about in the future.

After a few moments, Lightning rolled over towards Riku. She placed her head on his shoulder and wrapped her arm over his stomach before she shut her eyes. Though she didn't know how well she was going to sleep now that she was so wound up, this was the position that she wanted to fall asleep in.
Riku moved his hand to Lightning's hair, slowly running his fingers through it as he stared at the ceiling. He was sure she could hear his heartbeat from this position, and he didn't really mind. But...he did feel kind of bad. Did he put her in a bad spot?

Claire kept her eyes shut, hearing the television quietly from the other room along with Riku's heartbeat and her breathing mixed with his. This was so much better than the silence of Valhalla. And what just happened reminded her that she wasn't just a soldier, she was a human being. And she was loved dearly.
Now that Riku's heartbeat had calmed down and he wasn't distracted, he heard the television in the living room. "Damn," he muttered, taking his hand away from Lightning's head as he moved a little. He forgot to shut the TV off.

Light looked up at Riku, keeping her arm over his stomach. "What?" she asked softly. What was the curse for? Hopefully not disappointment that their previous moment ended. If it was about that, though, this was a pretty delayed reaction.
"The TV," Riku said, lifting a hand to rub his eyes. He needed to get up and turn that off. He moved a little more, starting to sit up as he lifted Lightning's hand off his toned stomach. Riku kind of wanted to get out of the room anyway, since he felt kind of...weird.

"I don't mind the noise," Lightning said, having taken her head off Riku's shoulder when he moved. In a way, she preferred it. Anything was better than eerie silence. Not that she was feeling the same tension Riku felt, necessarily. There were multiple things on her mind and they kept her from dwelling too deeply on everything that could have just happened. That she nearly let happen.
"Waste of electricity," Riku said, throwing his legs over the bed and rising from his place on the bed. He ran a hand through his hair as he made his way out of the room, disappearing from Lightning's sight as he headed down the hall to the living room. He couldn't sleep with the noise anyway, so it was best to just turn the television off.

Lightning supposed that Riku had a point, so she let him go in silence. She got a weird vibe from him just now, but she knew it was best to disregard it. Weird things happened when they were both tired. She exhaled a soft breath, rolling over onto Riku's side completely and taking a whiff of his pillow. Even if he had just been there a minute, she could smell the shampoo that he used in the shower. She relaxed into the bed, hoping exhaustion would take her under quickly.
After shutting off the television, Riku went ahead and made sure the front door was locked. It didn't really matter, he guessed, since Caius could just teleport inside the house. It was a habit Riku couldn't break, though, so he did it anyway. He then started back toward the bedroom, preparing to just sleep and let what happened between him and Light leave his mind. He would think about it later.

Lightning heard Riku's footsteps in the hallway, recognizing them as his and not Caius. Though if Caius were here, she wouldn't hear him. She opened her eyes and looked around her side of the room, seeing that it was empty of villains. Of course it was just paranoia; Caius wasn't going to come here tonight and kill her in her sleep. ...Right?
Riku walked into the bedroom and shut the door quietly behind him. He caught where Lightning was, on his side of the bed, so he decided to silently take the other side. He crawled in beside the woman he loved before releasing a small breath, ready to get some sleep. He wasn't as wound up as he was before, a lot calmer now. It would be easy to get some rest.

Lightning kept her eyes open, sure Riku didn't notice when he came in. Though she was tired, her urge to sleep just disappeared. Caius could show up at any point. He would be a silent killer; she was certain of it. They'd be dead before they even knew what hit them. In order to prevent that...she decided to stay awake the whole night. She had to.
Though Riku still felt a little weird with himself, he still pressed his chest to Lightning's back and wrapped his arm around her stomach. It was a position he had grown used to falling asleep in. He allowed himself to relax despite the tension he sensed in Lightning's body, the young man moving his fingers over her flat stomach to try and have her relax as well. They needed rest.

Lightning willed her body to relax slightly in Riku's hold, and though her heart pleaded for her just to give into the comfort and sleep, her eyes remained open. He wouldn't have to know until tomorrow that she stayed up and kept watch. Besides, he'd be out in a few minutes, with how hard he trained earlier.
Riku allowed his head to rest on the pillow, his body pressed against Lightning's as he relaxed. In a matter of minutes, he felt himself dozing off. His fingers slowed their circle on Lightning's stomach, and then Riku fell into the darkness of his unconscious.

The next morning, Lightning calculated that she had maybe an hour of "sleep"--or rather, periods where she dozed off. She took a shower to feel more refreshed, but she knew that she'd have to take a nap sometime today in order to survive. Thinking of it now, staying up all night hadn't been her smartest idea. Now if Caius came, she'd be vulnerable. Nevertheless, she drank coffee in the kitchen as she wore her GC outfit. She was sure Riku would be out soon enough to question why she was drinking the caffeine.

Riku walked out of the bedroom, rubbing tiredly at his eyes as he tried to wake himself up. It wasn't too early, but not too late in the morning either. It seemed he didn't wake up with the sun today. "Light?" he called groggily, running his hand back and forth lazily through his hair. He spotted her in the kitchen, probably drinking coffee. It certainly smelled like coffee in here.
