Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light turned around, lowering her mug as she held it in front of her. The look on Riku's face caused her to snicker. "Looks like you could use a cup too," she called, referring to the coffee. He was still pretty drowsy. Was he still that tired or was he okay? He was probably alright, but if he wanted some, it was here.
Riku held out his hand as he closed the distance between him and Lightning, reaching for her cup. He didn't want much, just a sip would do. He had to be awake quickly, since he and Terra agreed to leave early today. They needed as much time as they could get with the heart extraction.

Lightning scowled, turning away so that the cup was out of Riku's reach. "Just because you're groggy doesn't mean you can steal my coffee," she said, though her tone was good-natured. If he wanted a coffee that badly, he knew where the mugs were by now. This was as much his house as hers anymore.
Riku made a face, lifting his hand and ruffling Lightning's hair in good nature. "Yeah, yeah," he murmured, making his way toward the coffee pot. The mugs were in the cabinet right above the coffee machine, so he easily got himself one and poured himself a bit of coffee. He made sure to put quite a bit of sugar in it, needing the caffeine.

Lightning stepped away, taking another drink of her coffee while Riku got his. He couldn't have possibly been as tired as she was; he was sound asleep last night. She had heard him whisper her name in his sleep, though, which was absolutely precious. He was such a softy.
Riku took a drink of his coffee, but winced, grunting as he swallowed the hot liquid. "...Hot," he said, glaring at the mug as he ignored the burning of his tongue. He slept heavily last night; that was his only explanation for being so tired. He needed to wake up, and if the hot coffee didn't do it, he was sure a shower would.

Light reached for the tray of ice cubes she had sitting on the counter beside her. "Ice," she said to Riku, offering it to him. That was what she did for her first two cups of coffee, this being her second one. She hoped she didn't crash later, but she probably would. Even with the caffeine she was still feeling the affects of her all nighter.
Riku took an ice cube out of the tray, but instead of putting it in his coffee, he put in his mouth. He exhaled a soft breath when it soothed the burning on his tongue, the young man sucking on the ice as it melted in his mouth. That was better... Now he was awake.

Lightning rolled her eyes at Riku, finding him to be humorous in the morning. First with trying to take her coffee, then how he glared at the coffee when it burnt his tongue. And now this? "You seem a bit loopy," she mused, watching him suck on the remainder of the ice cube. Did she miss something, or was he just being goofy?
Riku shook his head, pushing the ice cube to one side of his mouth so he could talk. "Oxygen deprivation," he said, speaking around the ice cube before he started sucking on it again. He played along, joking about what was exactly wrong with him. All that kissing he did the night before, he dreamed of it last night. He hoped he didn't talk in his sleep, since that would have been embarrassing, but it couldn't be helped.

Lightning snickered, setting her empty mug on the counter along with the tray of ice. "You've got nobody to blame but yourself, Romeo," she commented. He was the one who kissed her over and over again without taking many breaths in between. Her heart pounded just at the memory of it. But she knew she wouldn't be ready to do anything like that again for a while. It was too overwhelming.
Riku rolled his eyes, biting down on the ice in his mouth now that it was small enough. "You liked it and you know it," he said, looking back to the woman he loved. Labored breathing, rosey cheeks, the clinginess... Lightning appreciated the affection, that much he knew.

"Uh-huh," Lightning hummed, uncommitted. She'd let Riku think that, because it was true. She glanced back at her mug and the coffee pot, wondering if she should have a little more. The more coffee she drank now, the harder she was going to crash later. But if she didn't drink it now, she'd crash sooner. Hmm...
"Why're you drinking coffee anyway?" Riku asked, grabbing another cube of eyes and putting it into his mouth. "You never drink coffee." His voice was muffled with the last bit, but he was sure Lightning could understand him. Since when did she depend on coffee? That was exactly the point, wasn't it? She needed it...for the energy.

Lightning shrugged casually, reaching for the pot and pouring herself half a cup. Best of both worlds. As she put the pot back, she answered Riku's question. "I didn't get much sleep last night." That was a bit of an understatement, but she'd tell him the full truth if he really wanted to know. She kept watch last night.
Riku froze, as did his tongue when the ice cube no longer moved around in his mouth. His eyebrows furrowed a bit as he gazed at Lightning. Why didn't she get enough sleep? "Was it...because of me?" he asked quietly, his eyes on her. Was he too forward the night before?

Light registered the words and their meaning, and after a second, she shook her head. "No. No," she said. "It occurred to me that Caius could show up and neither of us would hear him if were both out, so...I stayed awake almost the whole night." Like she calculated earlier, she might have gotten an hour of rest total.
Riku frowned, crushing the ice in his mouth before swallowing it. "I'm sorry...what?" he asked, though he clearly heard her. Lightning stayed up last night, and that wasn't good. Now she was going to be too tired for the trip today, and she was worrying about Caius. She didn't need to. What purpose would he have coming here? If anyone was a threat to him, it was Serah and Noel... Riku and Lightning were in the clear so they could get stuff done.

"I still have the essence of Etro within me, Riku," Lightning reminded him, sitting the mug on the counter again as she focused on him. He obviously didn't look pleased, but he appeared to be mostly worried and not angry. She supposed that was better, at least for her. "He may come for me." In fact, it was likely he would. It was a wonder that he hadn't yet.
Riku lifted a hand to his face. He was awake, but not enough for a conversation like this. "...Perfect," he mumbled, though it was heavily coated in sarcasm. He figured Caius wouldn't worry about them too much, but he forgot that Caius was trying to kill Lightning for the past year...at least in her eyes. That was a problem he neglected.

Lightning lowered her gaze to the ground, not bothering to respond. She agreed with Riku's sarcasm. This situation was so unpleasant it wasn't even funny. Not that it was ever funny in the first place. Getting called somebody's "fated rival", being given an ultimatum to fight them, being separated from all other humanity for a year...None of it was ever lighthearted. It never would be.
"I'll call Terra and tell him we're staying home," Riku said, lowering his hand from his head as he went to grab his phone. Lightning needed to rest in order for this to be a success, and he wasn't leaving her alone if she was scared of Caius coming around.

"What?" Lightning blinked, seeing Riku's hand go for his pocket. She reached out and stopped his hand before it reached there, thankful that her reflexes were so quick even when she was tired. "No. It's your training. All I need to do is be there. I'll be fine." It wasn't like she was doing any of the heavy lifting.
"And risk you collapsing from exhaustion? Yeah, I don't think so," Riku said, looking down at Lightning as he pushed past her hand and into his pocket to grab his phone. He wasn't going to risk his girlfriend's health for his own well being.

Lightning sighed. This really wasn't necessary, but she knew that there was no point in trying to talk Riku out of it. He was touchy and extra cautious when it came to Caius--so was she, after all. She lowered her hand back to her side, dumping her coffee down the drain. Well, she wasn't going to need that anymore if they were staying home today.
