Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku took his phone out of his pocket and dialed Terra's number, starting out of the kitchen. However, the person he got definitely wasn't Terra; the voice was too feminine. "Aqua?" he asked, lingering in the living room. She seemed confused as to why he was so puzzled, but he ignored it. "Sorry to bother you. But could you pass on a message to Terra for me?"

"Sure," Aqua replied with a small nod, standing in the kitchen as she looked out the window. "What is it?" Did it pertain to what they were doing the day before? Aqua was still quite curious about that...

"Tell him that we can't head back to Radiant Garden today," Riku said, gazing at Jazz as she slept in her bed still. "Lightning's not feeling well, and I'd like to stay with her."

"Radiant Garden?" Aqua asked, even more confused. What were they going to Radiant Garden for?

While Riku had his conversation, Lightning headed to the living room and sat down. She sank into the furniture, relaxing as she became more accustomed to comfortable surroundings again. She knew that she was getting spoiled here, but she didn't care. She wouldn't let it make her soft in battle.

"Yeah..." Riku started slowly, eyebrows furrowing. "He's teaching me how to use my Keyblade to extract a heart...to beat Caius. He didn't tell you?" That was weird. Terra and Aqua were quite close the last time Riku checked. Then again, he didn't hang out with the two as much as he used to.

Aqua frowned, turning her gaze to the living room, where Terra was. "No...No, he didn't," she said, confirming Riku's question. Terra hadn't told her anything about extracting a heart. "Riku, doesn't extracting a heart require use of Darkness?"

"Yeah...why?" Riku put a hand on his hip as he held the phone to his ear, trying to understand the tone in Aqua's voice. It almost sounded like suspicion.

"Great," Aqua said with a small nod. "Thanks. I'll pass the message along."

Riku nodded a little. "Thanks," he said, hanging up the phone. He stared at it in confusion, not quite understanding what that was about, but deciding not to worry too much. Terra would at least not expect them today. And that was all that really mattered at this point.

Terra was in the living room of their house, sitting on the couch as he looked down at a cookbook. He knew that it was early, but he had to decide what he was going to make for dinner if he wasn't going to be in for part of the day. What was quick and easy yet looked and tasted like a five star meal...? He had to do something that didn't seem like it was taking the easy way out, or Aqua would scold him again.

Aqua hung up the phone and turned her attention to the man on the couch, leaning against the doorway from the kitchen. "Riku just called," she said softly, crossing her arms over her shirt. She appreciated that Terra was at least taking into account what to cook for dinner, but...this just took the cake.

Terra lifted up his head, looking over at Aqua and seeing that position, Seeing her arms folded over her chest was never a good sign. But he didn't see what she could be so upset about if Riku called. "He did?" Terra checked, glancing at a clock on the wall. He thought Riku was supposed to meet him here in fifteen minutes. Did he get it mixed up?
Aqua hummed, nodding her head as she looked down at the ground. "Apparently Lightning isn't feeling well," she said softly, her eyebrows furrowing. "There won't be any extracting hearts today." She lifted her gaze to Terra then, her eyes meeting his instantly. He went behind her back to do something risky, something she didn't appreciate. At all.

As soon as Terra's eyes locked with Aqua's, he felt an unbelievable sense of dread. Aqua wasn't supposed to know about that. Even if they were on better terms, he might have kept it from her. He knew that she wasn't always on the same page as him concerning his own Darkness and how he used it. This was definitely one of those cases where they were going to have differing opinions.
Aqua met Terra's eyes in the silence, not saying anything as she gazed at him. Her eyes were hard with disappointment, and anger. Say something, she silently begged of him. Tell me Riku's lying, Terra... He wouldn't keep something like this from her, would he? Terra would never...not in the past.

"I didn't want you to worry," Terra finally said. "Riku came yesterday and said that he needed to learn, because it was the only way to defeat somebody. So I offered to teach him. I doubted anybody else would know how to do it." That was all the truth, and hopefully Aqua would believe it. Especially his reason for not telling her. He knew how she worried about him and his Darkness.
Aqua closed her eyes, releasing a soft breath. "...I'm worried now, Terra," she said quietly. "Something could have happened to you... Extracting hearts is extremely dangerous. You have to dive into the deepest, darkest part of your heart in order to do it." She looked at him again, shaking her head. "You don't think hearing that from Riku scared me?"
  • Author
"Of course it has you scared," Terra said with a small sigh. "I'm sorry. I was going to tell you when it was all over and done with." He and Riku still had some training to do, and there was no telling how long it would take. Quite honestly, Terra thought to train himself even past what Riku required. It seemed like a good skill to have.
"You can't be reckless," Aqua said, uncrossing her arms as she stood upright, frowning again. Terra was acting like it was no big deal, when it was. He could die from this, lose himself. That wasn't okay with her, ever. No matter where they were in their relationship.

"I was able to do it yesterday without consequences," Terra said, meaning to reassure Aqua but realizing afterward that she'd probably be alarmed he actually dove deep enough into Darkness to do it. "I'll be fine." He appreciated the concern, but it wasn't necessary. He got it on his first serious try yesterday and didn't have the same problems as Riku. He was above it because of past experience.
Aqua's eyes widened, her form stiffening. "You actually did it?" she asked, shocked. Terra just admitted to it! "Terra, you dunce! What were you thinking?!" She was infuriated now, unable to believe how careless he was. The consequences to that were severe, she was almost certain. Why would Terra risk such a thing? He knew how sensitive Aqua was about his heart.

Terra grunted, knowing that he just said the wrong thing. Now he was going to face Aqua's infamous wrath. "I-It was necessary!" he said quickly in his own defense. Riku had to learn this from someone after all, and Terra was the only qualified person to teach him. The best way to teach was through example.
"But it wouldn't have done you much good if you lost yourself to your Darkness, now would it?" Aqua snapped, glaring at Terra. He was wanting to help Riku and Lightning, but what could he have done if his Light dropped dead and the Darkness took over? It wouldn't have done any good at all.

"It's my Darkness," Terra declared, setting the cookbook to the side. "I have it under control. It can't overshadow me." The Darkness wasn't what defined Terra; he did that himself. He lost consciousness for that minute or two, but he came out of it quickly enough. That was how it would always be as long as he was true to himself.
"That's not the point, Terra," Aqua said lowly, shaking her head as she approached him. "The point is that you didn't care about what could've happened to you otherwise. Say that you didn't have it under control. What then?" She looked down at him as he sat on the couch, standing in front of him now as she waited for her answer. They weren't as romantic as they used to be, but she still cared about him. A lot.

"That wasn't going to happen," Terra said as he looked up at Aqua. She kept pressing that point, but really, failing and falling to Darkness wasn't an option. He had enough experience with that in the past; he knew what to watch out for. Did she really have such little faith in him? In his ability to use Darkness for good?
Aqua brought a hand to her forehead, pushing her blue bangs up slightly as she closed her eyes. She didn't even know what to say anymore. All she could say was his name. "Terra..." she said softly. He didn't get it... She was scared for him. What if something bad did happen, though? What then?
  • Author
"I know it's dark," Terra said, continuing because Aqua seemed to be at a loss for words. "I know that when dealing with the Darkness, things can happen. But I trust myself enough to know that I could never go as low as I once did." And now I'm asking you to trust me the same way. Could she do it?
Aqua lowered her hand, meeting Terra's gaze before looking away. "I certainly hope so," she said softly. She hoped Terra trusted himself enough to play it safe. But she realized that this was more than his heart extraction ideas. It had a lot to do with them too.

Terra felt himself get aggravated. He rose to his feet, hands in light fists by his sides. "A little more faith would be appreciated," he declared, looking at Aqua's eyes. "You know what my Darkness is capable of." He used it to lock Master Xehanort in his heart. If it wasn't for Terra, that man would still be wandering the worlds and creating trouble. Aqua had to realize Terra's Darkness was a good thing.
If Aqua were any regular girl, she would have felt intimidated by Terra's posture and expression, but she wasn't. She had grown up with this guy during their apprentice years; she was just as strong as he was. "...That's what I'm afraid of," she said, meeting his gaze. His Darkness was capable of a lot of things, good and bad. She just hoped the consequences weren't severe.
