Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Terra's eyes narrowed. "My Darkness stopped Master Xehanort once and for all," he reminded her strictly. She was thinking of the times that he fell, but that was in the past. He was superior to his past mistakes, and Master Xehanort was the proof of that. If Terra was still weak, he wouldn't have been able to stop Xehanort.

Aqua looked away, lowering her gaze slightly. This was not how they were supposed to be, arguing like this. Bickering back and forth. "...What's happening to us, Terra?" she asked softly. She didn't understand why they were like this anymore...

Terra blinked at the random question, looking away in silence. Why was she avoiding the issue of Darkness and bringing up something else? Their argument may have been connected to whatever was happening to them, but he didn't like that she didn't say that she trusted him. He didn't answer, trying to cool his anger. He cared about her; he didn't want to hurt her with his words.
"This is about the Darkness...because it has something else to do with us," Aqua said, lifting her gaze to the man before her. "It's only one of the issues that has come up between us." They argued all the time, for no reason whatsoever. It hurt Ventus to see it, and it hurt both of them. She could tell she wasn't the only one offended by what could be said.

Terra still looked away. He knew that they argued a lot and this was one of the few conversations that had meaning. The other arguments about being late for stuff, forgetting to mention details to each other...it was nothing compared to this. "Maybe we need a break," he said lowly, without thinking about it before he said it. He meant a break from the conversation, not...relationship. Right?
Aqua was afraid of those words. Once they left Terra's mouth, she felt the familiar prickling in her eyes, signaling moisture and soon-to-be tears. "...Right," she said, lowering her gaze. "A break." He wanted to end things, didn't he? It made sense; she was constantly nagging him about little things, and he neglected to mention things to her. They were just...being careless with each other.

Terra looked over at Aqua, eyes softer. She took the meaning in the way that he secretly meant it. He could have taken it back--He could have told her that they needed a break from this conversation. But he didn't. Instead, he lifted a hand and put it on her shoulder. It seemed like she agreed with him, but...that didn't mean that they weren't friends. They were.
Aqua thought she had found the love of her life...but she was wrong. The weight on her shoulder, the warmth from Terra's hand, made her look up at him with moist eyes. She nodded silently, letting him know that she understood. He wasn't meant for her... They weren't meant for each other. They were more like family anyway, weren't they?

Terra lowered his hand after a few moments, glancing down at the couch and seeing the open book. "Do you...want to help me choose what to make for dinner?" It felt like such a dumb question, but he wasn't sure what else to say. And maybe...now that they were friends...they could enjoy each other's presence instead of being stressed about it all the time. That was what he hoped.
Aqua smiled, laughing a little at the ridiculous question, but in good nature. The moisture in her eyes blurred her vision, but she blinked the fogginess away. "Sure," she said with a small nod. As friends... She would help him as a friend, a best friend. She would cry about the loss later, in the privacy of her room.

Terra smiled in relief, realizing that this was the first time he smiled with Aqua in a very long time. This really was for the better, wasn't it? Aqua had been his friend as long as he could remember, and in their relationship, he felt like they lost some of that. He nodded faintly to her and sat down, putting the cookbook in his lap so she could have the seat beside him.
Aqua took the seat next to Terra and focused on breathing, wanting to calm herself down. Her emotions were all over the place lately. However, she focused on the topic at hand, which was choosing something to cook. She waited for Terra to start where he left off, clearly looking at the meats. Typical.

"You in the mood for anything specific?" Terra asked, keeping his eyes on the book instead of Aqua. He could tell that she was a little emotional; he should have considered that before suggesting they do something together. You never were smooth with the ladies. He had a good heart and could think up events to take them to, but verbally he could come off a little awkward.
"Well clearly someone's in the mood for meat," Aqua said, glancing over at Terra as she gently nudged him with her elbow. Something she used to do all the time--tease him, taunt him, be playful. She hadn't been like that in a long time. It was...odd.
  • Author
"Gotta have so protein in my diet with all the salads you force down my throat," Terra teased in return, looking over at Aqua with a smirk. Again, he realized how nice it was to actually...be himself. There had been a lot of pressure to love Aqua romantically. First because Ven was here and he loved seeing the two together, and then from Master Eraqus.
"Just trying to keep you strong," Aqua replied with a smile. She liked seeing that smirk again. While a part of her found it attractive, she appreciated it more because her best friend was back with her. It was nice to witness his happiness. She always wanted the best for Terra. If she wasn't it, that was okay. As long as he was happy.
  • Author
"My meat makes me strong," Terra responded, his smile lingering as he looked back down at the book. Salads weren't terrible, but seriously. The veggies and stuff that went into salads just couldn't compare with a big hunk of meat. He'd choose steak over tree leaves any day.
"All the more reason for you to pick that for the main course, huh?" Aqua asked, lowering her gaze to the book as well. There was a lot Terra could make--roast, pork chops, chicken... It was all up to him, but she would offer her assistance if it was needed. Terra never was the best cook.
  • Author
"Exactly," Terra said simply, finding a recipe that wasn't hard. It involved chicken and bacon, so that one was appealing to him. Ven would appreciate it too, though he never talked back about Aqua's salads and healthier foods. He was a healthy kid some of the time, but other times, he was a typical teenager with a craving for junk.
Aqua's eyes narrowed as she peered at the recipe Terra decided on, and she smirked. "Ven's going to love you," she said, placing a hand on Terra's shoulder in a sisterly way. Ven loved bacon, so this was going to be great. She couldn't wait to see his face...
  • Author
"I hope he already does," Terra snickered, looking over at Aqua again. "Don't worry. He loves you too despite your dinner choices." Ven was too kind to say anything negative, even when some of Aqua's salads were...interesting. She even had sardines in one of them. That had been pretty awful to swallow.
Aqua gasped, whacking Terra in the arm. "Hey!" she said in her defense. That wasn't very nice. She was just trying to keep the two of her boys healthy. She was the motherly figure after all, so she was responsible. She was the better cook anyway.
  • Author
"It was a compliment...in disguise!" Terra said, holding his arm as if he were in pain. "But come on Aqua. Sardines?" She knew what he was talking about here. It was a week ago that she used sardines in one of her salads, and it was just...nasty. Terra had a hard time washing that down even though he drank three glasses of water at dinner that night.
Aqua crossed her arms, rolling her eyes. "Wimp," she said. "They're good for you. Good nutrients." He was all about getting stronger, leaner, healthier. She was just trying to help, after all. Her dinner choices weren't the tastiest, but they would help him and Ven get stronger as the days went on.
  • Author
"I promise I will make dinner whenever your turn rolls around just to avoid eating those again," Terra said, looking down at the book again just to make sure there weren't sardines in this recipe. There weren't, thank goodness. If there were...well, he would have just left them out. Those little things were disgusting.
