Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Aqua couldn't help but chuckle, shaking her head. "I'll sleep on it," she stated. It was her turn to cook the next night anyway. He might actually be the one eating his words for that offer; it only meant more work for him. But she'd appreciate it.

"Glad to hear it," Terra commented with a slight grin. Even if it meant more work for him, well...At least for a little while, he'd be willing to do that to avoid some of Aqua's more interesting meals. She was a health-food fanatic, clearly. And Terra liked to eat healthy, but only when it suited his appetite and taste-buds.
"Better hit the store," Aqua said, rising to her feet then and pulling at the hem of her t-shirt. "We don't have that much bacon left, or chicken." Terra would have to go buy some of the ingredients. At least he had that to occupy his day today, since he didn't have any other business to tend to now.

"Guess so," Terra agreed, rising to his feet and stretching his arms. He had been sitting for a little while, so he was tense. That and the fact that they just had a really tense conversation produced stress in his muscles. It was weird. He felt sad in some ways, but mostly, he was relieved. It was like he had his best friend back again.

One week later, Valhalla

Riku walked along a path in Valhalla with Lightning by his side, finding a new sense of strength within himself. After an exhausting week of training with Terra and Lightning to use his Darkness, Riku finally learned how to successfully extract a heart. And with a little more practice, he figured out how to do it quickly, so Caius wouldn't get away. Caius... It was time for him to die. Riku and Lightning would save Etro and save the future by destroying Caius.

Lightning walked by Riku's side, suspicious and on guard. Caius hadn't stopped in to visit them at all the past week. Surely he must have known what they were up to. And yet he didn't try to stop them. Why? Were their efforts meaningless? Would Etro still die when Caius's heart was extracted? Was all the Darkness of the past week in vain? She really hoped not. She bit down on her tongue, fighting the urge to call out to Caius and order him to come out. She just wanted this thing to end.
Riku glanced over at Lightning briefly as they walked, eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he made sure everything was alright with this world. Well, for now. He knew things could go sour quickly, which was why he was glad Sora and Kairi got back from their honeymoon in time for him to explain the situation. It was also his chance to say goodbye...in case things didn't go his and Lightning's way.

Light walked a few more steps before she felt an intense pain and overwhelming weakness. A raspy gasp left her lips as she stopped where she was, her eyes losing some of their shine. Things weren't alright. The pain that she felt in her back...it was from where Caius stabbed her over half a year ago with his sword. The wound that Etro healed. And if it was acting up now, that meant... No...
Riku stopped a step or two ahead of Lightning, turning around quickly at her gasp. His eyes were wide in alarm, not understanding. "Lightning?" he called, gazing at her in confusion...and fear. The look in her eyes was far from comforting. What was going on?

Lightning sank down to her knees, Caius's Chaos coming out the wound from her back. She grunted weakly and lowered her head, fighting hard not to pass out. She recalled this feeling--this extent of pain was unmistakable. It was what she felt last time as she crawled to Etro's throne. Caius's stab wound was definitely back. That was easy to recognize, but the rest of it was stuff she didn't want to admit to.
Riku knelt down in front of Lightning instantly, seeing the Chaos emit from her back. What...was that? "Light...?" he called again, his voice filled with an edge of worry. What was going on? He suddenly felt wind all around him, and he lifted his gaze to see the sky turning an awful black, no longer overcast like it had been.

"Caius is dead," Lightning said weakly in her pain, fighting the urge to fall flat on her face and succumb to this spell Etro saved her from before. With that one truth that she spoke to Riku, he should have realized who else perished along with him. But she revealed that truth anyway. "Etro is dead." And if Etro was dead, that meant...the worlds were doomed.
Riku grunted, his eyes still lingering on the sky. In the distance, it seemed like a gate opened...and that meant the worlds were going to be covered in Chaos. No... His friends, his home... Everyone was doomed. He lowered his gaze to the woman before him, putting a hand on her shoulder. "We have to go," he tried, attempting encouragement. But...what was wrong with her?

"Where?" Light asked lowly without moving, not that she could really move. She furrowed her eyebrows, remembering the initial pain of the stab and how she attempted to scream but no sound came out. Right now, she knew that she could scream, and she almost felt like doing it. The wound just made her want to fall into that dream world Caius tried to send her to before.
"I..." Riku tried, shaking his head a little as he glanced back up at Valhalla. The Chaos was seeping from this world and traveling through the gate. "I don't know." He wasn't sure where they needed to go, but he knew they couldn't stay here. He lowered his sight to the woman he loved, having trouble reading her expression. "What's wrong?" What was happening to her? Why was Chaos seeping from her back?

Lightning winced. "The fatal wound Caius inflicted. It was healed because Etro was within me, but now that Etro's gone..." Riku could probably fill in the rest. Now that Etro wasn't keeping Lightning in good health anymore, Lightning could collapse from the wound. She wondered what would happen to her. Would her body dissolve into the Chaos? Would she fade away?
Riku's eyes narrowed at the news, not happy with it in the least. "Fight it, Lightning," he encouraged her, knowing that they couldn't stand here anymore. They had to move. He shifted so he was beside her and wrapped his arms around her, starting to pick her up. He wasn't sure who they would run into, but being among the Chaos wasn't healthy. Then again, what would they even encounter outside of Valhalla? The same thing...probably worse.

Light rested her head against Riku's shoulder, her arm loosely wrapped around him. She was trying to fight it; she was. But some things were hard to battle. She peeked her eyes open, seeing visions of people walking on the path. Serah, Fang, Vanille, and other loved ones. She knew they were hallucinations; she was seeing what she would have seen if she succumbed to the curse. Sweet dreams would have awaited her if she gave in, but that wasn't an option. Not while she still had family to fight for, like Serah and Riku.
Riku started down the path they had been walking before, holding Lightning close as he tried to decide where exactly they needed to go. They needed a gate to leave Valhalla, but which gate would take them out? The one seeping with Chaos seemed too dangerous... Think, Riku. Think!

"All the worlds will become Valhalla," Lightning finally said, her body weak in Riku's arms. She gazed at the sky with dull blue eyes, seeing the chaos swarming and going through the gate that used to be Etro's. All the worlds were doomed now...How could this have happened? Did Noel and Serah actually manage to kill Caius? Didn't they know what killing him meant?
Riku's grip on Lightning tightened at that, his jaw flexing in nervousness. Sora and Kairi... His family... Were they in trouble? Of course they were. Chaos was hitting all the words, being absorbed in them! "We have to find a way out of here," he said, speaking over the wind as he took a turn in the path. He had to find a gate!

"Riku," Light whispered, eyes falling shut when she saw more hallucinations. It was getting worse. "...I need you to try and heal me." She didn't have the strength to; along with the wound came unbearable weakness. She knew that Riku was in a rush to get out of here, and rightfully so, but if he didn't heal her at least a little bit, she was going to lose her grip.
Riku looked down at Lightning at the statement, and he spotted a bit of rubble nearby. It would be enough for him to set Lightning on. He did so, keeping his arm in front of her as he stepped to the side and lifted up the back of her shirt. He could see the scar from Caius, the Chaos emitting from the wound. He frowned at the sight, but lifted his hand to touch the scar in silence. He had to heal her, like she said. If he didn't...Riku could lose Lightning. The young man saw his hand glow green, sending powerful Cure spells at the wound.

Light kept her head against Riku's shoulder, eyes shut. She grunted weakly at the pain of Riku's hand being there, and how the White magic was directly opposed to Caius's Dark magic. She didn't dare open her eyes, and didn't dare ask Riku if he was managing to fix anything. It took a goddess to fix her before; there was no way Riku was going to be as successful as Etro was.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows when the Cure spells he was using didn't seem to do anything. He concentrated more on the task, using a majority of his magic to heal Lightning's wound. But...it didn't seem to be working. Riku sighed when he felt himself drained of almost all of his magic, gazing at the skin of Lightning's back before he lowered the shirt. "I did all I could," he told her lowly. There was nothing more he could do for her.
