Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning nodded softly, not feeling any difference. If she had her eyes open, maybe she would have noticed that Chaos was no longer emitting from her body. That at least was a good thing. She just had to hold on, then. That was all that she could do. Now they needed to get back to other worlds and see what they turned into. She knew it wasn't going to be a pretty sight.
Riku kept his arm in front of Lightning, gazing down at her. "Can you walk?" he asked her lowly. If not, he would continue to carry her, but they did need to get a move on. A gate had to be somewhere around here, one they could use safely. It was their only way back to the flow of time, or at least the correct flow.

"Maybe with a little help," Lightning said, opening her eyes. No hallucinations for the time being; that was a good sign. Maybe Riku's healing spells did help somehow. She knew this though: it wasn't a permanent fix. She was still weak and in pain, but at least she wasn't on the verge of falling into the enchanted sleep anymore.

Riku nodded before situating himself, lightly grasping one of Lightning's arms and looping it over his shoulder. He helped her off the rubble before wrapping his arm around her waist, deciding to lead. Or would she know where a gate was? "Any gates around here?" he asked softly. How else could they escape?

Light leaned against Riku, glad that he was strong enough to bear half of her weight as she was on her feet. She looked around past her pink bangs, seeing something seeping with darkness up ahead. "To the right," she said, nodding her head faintly in that direction. But there wasn't a gate there; it was just a wall of buildings. The hallucinations were back, and what was scary was that she couldn't distinguish it apart from reality.
Riku turned his head, almost doing as Lightning said. Luckily he looked before acting. "...There's nothing there, Light," he said, glancing over at her before starting forward again. How was there supposed to be a gate amongst nothing but concrete? Was Lightning hallucinating?

Lightning shut her eyes, eyebrows furrowing. "Right," she said lowly, knowing what was happening. That stupid spell Caius cast over her lingered even if the wound was shut. She'd just have to be very cautious before she leaped into any situations. Hallucinations were scary business.
Riku walked at a steady pace amongst the wind, keeping his hold on Lightning as he supported her weight. It felt like they had walked for at least ten minutes before he spotted a small light. "...There," he said, motioning to the gate that rested a little short of a mile ahead. That was their way out.

Light followed Riku's gaze, seeing the gate up ahead. "Let me go," she said softly. She wanted to try and walk on her own, even if she depended on Riku heavily for when they walked. She was stubborn when it came to supporting herself sometimes, because that was what she did the majority of her life. But as much as she knew she could depend on Riku now, she also knew this was a good time to be on her own two feet and carrying her own weight.
Riku lowered his gaze to Lightning, stopping at the order. He hesitated, but gave in after only a few seconds. He slowly released Lightning and stepped away, though he did keep his hand on her lower back to help steady her if need be.

Lightning shut her eyes, hands gently curled by her sides as she balanced herself on her feet. That wasn't so bad now; her strength was returning. She could beat this curse... Her pale blue eyes opened and she looked back over at Riku, nodding faintly to him before she started towards the gate. Wherever the gate led them, it was better than this place.
Riku followed Lightning's lead, only a small step behind her as he approached the gate as well. They still had a ways to walk, but at least they found their way out. Riku couldn't help his wandering thoughts as they walked, each step getting them closer to the gate. All of my training...it was all for nothing, he realized, eyebrows furrowing a little more. Our time was wasted.

Lightning stopped in front of the gate, holding out a hand for Riku's. Again, there was no way that they were going to be separated here. They had to get back to whatever world this led them to and see what was going on out there, even if they already knew what it was going to be like.
Riku took the hand held out to him, and only a small moment passed before they were lifted into the air. He closed his eyes as the light swallowed them, he and Lightning being sucked into the gate. Wherever they were going, he hoped they didn't travel too far back in time. He just wanted to find his family.

When Lightning and Riku arrived back in their own realm, she opened her eyes and looked around. The young woman winced, but this was a different kind of pain than what she felt earlier. The world was Valhalla, but at the same time... "This is Pulse," she said softly. She could just tell that was what it was.

Riku released Lightning's hand as he took a few steps forward. "No way..." he said softly. This world was a lot like Valhalla. There were some differences, but...he knew Lightning was right. Pulse was gone. Valhalla overtook it.

Lightning shut her eyes briefly, hands curling into light fists. Okay. Pulse was Valhalla. All the worlds were now. There was no telling what people were here right now. Yet there were people. Looking at some of the buildings, she could see lights on inside of them. She started forward after a few moments, eyes open as she looked ahead for any signs of her friends and family. They had to be around here somewhere.
Riku heard footsteps, and he turned his head to see Lightning pass him. He followed her lead wordlessly. As far as he knew, they were the only two here. Or at least, the only two familiar with each other. Who could exist here, in whatever time this was?

Lightning led the way, looking around the area yet being silent for some reason. The air here was too tense to be broken so easily. The first reason that she spoke was when she saw somebody walking towards them--somebody in a red plaid skirt and white shirt. She stopped walking and stared, not daring to shut her eyes. But doubts lingered in her mind. "...Serah?" she asked softly, certain that Riku could hear her. ...It was just another hallucination, wasn't it?
Riku walked up to be next to Lightning, stopping and following her gaze. He lifted an eyebrow when he didn't see anyone, especially not Serah. "Uh...Light," he said softly, looking to her. What was she talking about? Serah wasn't here....

Light's hands gently curled by her sides again. She could tell just by Riku's tone that her suspicions were correct. "Alright," she said softly, starting forward again and looking past the hallucination that continued walking in her direction. She wasn't really there; if she was, she would have ran over to Lightning. But where was Serah? This was Pulse; she should have been here somewhere.
"Lightning..." Riku said, gazing after her before following. He stared at her back, confused. "What're you seeing?" She said she saw a gate when in reality there was only concrete, and now she was seeing Serah? Hallucinations were his only guess. He couldn't think of anything else.
  • Author
"Right now?" Lightning asked quietly as she walked forward. "Or in general?" Did he think that she was completely loopy? She wouldn't have been surprised, with how she was seeing things. First the gate in Valhalla and now Serah. Actually, now she was seeing Hope walking down the other side of the road. Another illusion, but this one, she didn't let Riku know about.

Riku tilted his head a little. "Are you hallucinating?" he asked lowly, ignoring the fact that he was walking on dirt, not green grass like he originally planned. The fact that this place was Valhalla was unsettling, and now that Lightning was clearly seeing things? It didn't help much.

Lightning didn't get a chance to answer Riku's question, though she almost wished that she did so that he could know what was going on with her. Instead, a loud voice broke through the still and solemn air of Valhalla.

"Hey!" Sora called from further down the road. He saw the two that were further down the road, and he sure was relieved to see them. Riku and Lightning. He and Kairi had been looking for the two of them ever since Valhalla took over the worlds a few days ago. It was great to see them.
