Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku blinked in surprise, grunting a little. Was that...? "Sora!" he cried in surprise, running past Lightning as he went to meet his best friend. And not that far behind him, coming up a hill, was Kairi. He knew he couldn't misplace that loud voice anywhere. What were they doing here?

Kairi couldn't help but smile, feeling an immense amount of relief. Riku! He was okay, and so was Lightning! Thank goodness, she thought, taking a few quick steps forward to be beside her husband as Riku ran toward them. He didn't look like he was too beaten up; hopefully they hadn't encountered any monsters. She and Sora narrowly escaped a few when they showed up.

Sora watched Lightning keep her pace walking towards them as Riku ran, but he figured she had her reasons. "We've been looking everywhere for you, man," Sora stated once Riku was closer to them. Riku told them before leaving what would happen to the worlds if their plan didn't work, and, well...looked like that was how things turned out. What went wrong? How could they fix it?
Riku approached his best friends, stopping near them as he lifted a hand to the back of Kairi's head, being brotherly after such a long time away from them. Well, almost two weeks felt like a long time at least. "You guys okay?" he asked, seeing Kairi nod as he took his hand back. He had been so scared...

"We're good," Sora assured Riku with a small nod. "How about you two?" They were the ones who were in real danger before, going to face that Caius guy. Riku said defeating him the wrong way would bring about ruin and destruction, and he wasn't kidding. This place was completely awful. Feeling so much death in the air was terrible.
Riku looked behind him slightly, seeing the woman he loved approaching. "We're alright," he answered after a small moment of hesitation. Lightning wasn't okay in the head, since she was hallucinating (or so he assumed). They didn't get a chance to meet with Caius; somebody else beat them to it. And Riku guessed it was Noel and Serah.

Sora nodded, relieved to hear it as Lighting stopped next to Riku. "What's going on?" he asked, eyebrows furrowing in seriousness. "I thought you guys had this taken care of." Apparently things went wrong; that was painfully apparent by the environment surrounding them. Everything was so dark and gloomy here. At least Riku and Lightning were here. That was really comforting.
"We thought so too," Riku said with a small nod. Relief no longer rested in his eyes or on his expression; confusion and anger took its place. "But somebody got to Caius before we did." His only guess: Serah and Noel. But...where were they? Were they still in another time?

Sora looked down at the ground, sharing Riku's confusion and anger. But mostly confusion. "Okay..." he said slowly. "So...how do we fix this?" He looked up at Riku for the question, noticing out of the corner of his eye that Lightning looked distracted by something. Again he was confused, but he learned not to question Lightning too often. She was even more mysterious than Riku.
"That I don't know," Riku said with a small shake of his head, looking from Sora to the world around them. He didn't know if anyone else they knew was here. It was a miracle Sora and Kairi made it here, at least. Were the Islands Valhalla too? "Our best option right now is to try and find out who all is here." Caius was gone, so they at least didn't have to worry about getting attacked. They would watch out for monsters, but they needed to try and find other people and make sure they were okay.

That didn't sound like a very good plan, but considering that Riku had no clue how to fix this, Sora supposed that finding out who else was here was all that they could do. "Okay," he said with a small nod. Hopefully whoever they found would have a better idea of how to fix this than they did. If not...well, he didn't know what they'd do.
Kairi saw Riku start to walk down a nearby path, catching the light touch on Lightning's back as he passed her. The look he gave her was one of concern. What was going on with her? Deciding not to pry, she started to follow Riku's lead. "We're the only ones who got off the Islands, I think," she said. "It was Sora's idea to come find you when we saw that...Chaos reaching the Islands." That sounded like the right name for it, whatever was impacting their lives so heavily.

Sora nodded in agreement, catching up to Riku and Kairi and walking beside the latter as Lightning trailed behind. "The Islands are still there, sort of," he said. "They're like this." He guessed that was...good, maybe? It was definitely better than the Islands just disappearing or something. This at least gave him hope that if all the worlds were restored, the Islands would be too.

"It's called Valhalla," Riku said, looking from Sora to Kairi. "It's a place of no time, no life, and no death. Lightning was stuck here for a year." Well, not here, but in the actual Valhalla. She managed to get away only to be brought back again...

Kairi nodded a little in understanding, glancing behind her to see Lightning trailing behind. She automatically did the same, slowing down to walk next to the soldier. "You okay?" she asked softly. Lightning seemed concerned about something. Was she alright?

Lightning nodded faintly, though she glanced over to the left. "I hear noise from deeper in the city," she said lowly. There were people out and about. Or something was going on. Something bad. At least her sense of hearing was still true, unlike her eyesight half the time. No matter the case, they needed to look into the noise.
Riku glanced behind him, stopping as he looked at Lightning and then followed her gaze to the left. "Right," he said, already understanding her message. They needed to check it out, and hopefully they didn't run into any trouble. He started forward with Kairi walking with him, clearly ready to face whatever was up ahead.

Light moved past Riku, Kairi, and Sora, taking the lead. Those two were Riku's family, not that she wasn't. She knew that he'd want to protect them at all costs. As they got closer to the center of the city, the volume became louder. Did she hear...the falling of guillotines? She blinked, stopping behind a corner and peeking out cautiously. There was a stage set in the middle of the crowd, higher up for all to see. The noises that she had heard before were...whimpers. Somebody was sentencing people to death at the two guillotines and forcing the people to watch. But who? And why?

Riku peeked around the corner, his head above Lightning's as he witnessed what was going on. "...What the hell?" he asked lowly, unable to believe what he was seeing. He heard movement behind him and that was when he saw a guillotine about to go into action. He turned, grabbing Kairi by the shoulders and moving her behind the wall again as multiple screams rang out. People were being murdered...in front of all these people...

Kairi looked up at Riku, though she blinked in surprise at the screams. What was it? What was going on?! The whimpers and cries were of fear, sadness... She could practically feel the pain in her heart. "Riku..." she said softly, scared. What was happening? But he wouldn't look at her, or say anything. He just held her in place by the shoulders for one more second before stepping back to look around the corner.

"This is what happens to those who oppose the gods!" the voice of the prophet called out over the crowd. He was the leader of these executions and was supported by what military remained on Pulse. There was no choice; the gods reigned supreme. "Those who defy Pulse, Lindzei and Bhunivelze will perish like all these other people. Like these two next people, who directly opposed their return."

Lightning didn't grunt at the information; she was trained to stay silent no matter how horrifying a situation appeared or sounded. But she did grunt at who she saw being led onto the stage. Snow (looking more haggard than she last saw him) and Noel.

Snow pulled at the person restraining him, but he still couldn't get his hands free. He looked up at the prophet as he was led up the stairs to the guillotine, though most of the fight was out of him after the tragedy he witnessed before. "You bastard..." he cursed the prophet. Screw the gods! This wasn't the way life was supposed to be!

Noel nearly tripped up the stairs, but he regained his footing as he glared at the floor. I killed the goddess, he told himself, realizing the truth once again. He couldn't believe that he was really responsible for all of this. But...Caius tricked him, and then Serah... Noel didn't fight the guard who forced him toward the guillotine, making him get on his knees. He was too shocked to fight what was going on, unable to believe any of this.

Lightning flexed her hands down by her sides, summoning Odin's two large swords and grasping each one tightly. She adjusted her fingers on the hilts, ready to run out at that very second and save her two friends. Noel may have been more of an acquaintance, but Light would do absolutely anything to save Snow from death. If saving an acquaintance went along with that, then okay.
Riku lifted a hand to Lightning's shoulder instantly, his grasp tight with desperation. "Light, no," he told her. She couldn't risk doing something reckless. He wanted to save Snow and Noel too, but they needed a plan. Running in blind would make this messy. He turned his eyes to Snow and Noel when he heard one of them yell at the prophet. Snow... What was wrong? Why was he so...different?

Lightning glanced back at Riku, seeing Sora also looking past her to see what was going on. She heard Riku's words but wasn't about to comply with that order. Throwing caution to the wind, she chucked one of the hefty swords at the guillotine on the right. It hit dead center, the wood bursting into billions of splinters along with the metal blade. People screamed but she didn't care. Her strength was back now that friends were in danger.
Noel grunted in surprise, wide eyes going to the guillotine that was just shattered above him. He looked around while the guards searched the crowd, wanting to find just who it was that ruined the execution. The sword came from ahead of him and Snow, that much Noel was certain. But who was it?

Light smirked grimly, stepping over out of Riku's reach while he was still surprised by her rash actions. Well, if they didn't know where the sword came from now, they would in a minute. She pulled back her other arm and threw the other sword, seeing it spin through the air and shatter the other guillotine like it did the first one. People in the crowd obviously noticed her now, but she stood her ground. But...Riku, Sora, and Kairi were still out of sight. They could still flee.
Riku heard a guard shout, and that was when he knew the shots were coming. "No!" he cried, stepping out and putting up a shield to protect Lightning from the bullets. His Keyblade automatically appeared in his hand out of his will to protect the woman he loved, and he ground his teeth together as he gazed past the shield and the bullets coming at him. "Sora!" he called. They needed to move in and take out the guards, now!
