Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Got it!" Sora called, rushing out from behind the wall. The guards were surprised at his presence, so he had no problem throwing his Keyblade at three of them and knocking them down. Lightning had a different strategy than he did, though. She didn't even appear phased by the bullets as she stepped out from behind Riku's shield and walked forward. Any bullets that came her way were swatted away by two thin swords that Sora had never seen before. She was walking towards the stage and the man who made the announcement almost casually.
Snow had looked up by this time, and his eyes located the familiar faces. Sora...and Riku... "Lightning," he grunted, watching her as she deflected the bullets that came her way. He glanced behind him and saw the guard was distracted. Using his strength, he tore his hands from their binds and turned, punching the man in the face. The slug instantly caused him to go unconscious, and Snow made his way over to Noel to help him out of his restraints. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he would take it.

Lightning ducked to dodge a barrage of bullets once she was right by the bottom of the stage, propelling herself towards the two guards that dared to shoot at her. Once she was right in their faces, she cut off the tips of their guns and shoved them to the sides with her arms. Her eyebrows were furrowed as she looked at Snow and Noel, her expression grave as her eyes shone with worry. Were the two of them alright? She couldn't imagine what would have happened if she came a minute later.
Kairi, by this point, knew that it was safe for her to come out. A majority of the crowd was rushing away now, and she had to dodge them as she pushed through them to reach her friends. She winced when someone roughly shouldered her, but she kept going, needing to reach her friends. Riku was up ahead, trying to calm people down, but they ignored him. He instead went forward to get out of the fray. Kairi managed to get out of it too, pushing herself against a nearby wall as people continued to rush by. They were all so scared...but they weren't here to hurt them!

Lightning looked down an alleyway, seeing that it was empty except for a figure in a white shirt and red skirt. Serah. She was waving them towards her...and it made sense, because it was empty for now. If they ran that way, maybe they could lose the guards. "That way," she said to Snow and Noel, motioning with her hand. Follow Serah, she added mentally, though she knew that Serah was just a hallucination.
Snow didn't hesitate, motioning with his arm for the others to follow as Noel ran with Lightning. He saw Riku move to follow, the same with Kairi as she booked it across the area to catch up. How did they get here? And what were they doing here?

Lightning felt like they ran for an eternity. But eventually, all of them reached an enclosed pathway and were certain that the guards were lost. She panted in relief, bending over with her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath. That surge of strength was over after the battle and long run, and that stupid prophet fled the scene before she could deal with him. At least Noel and Snow were safe. But where was Serah?
Snow put his hands on his hips, releasing a heavy breath as he looked behind him. The others were coming, having only been a few yards behind. "What are you guys doing here?" he asked. The last time he checked, everyone was on Destiny Islands.

Lightning ignored the question, not thinking that it was directed at her in the first place. At this point, the question was a worthless one. She was about to ask the only question that mattered. And she inquired it of Noel Kreiss. "Where's Serah?" she demanded, standing upright as she looked at the young brunet. Serah was with him last. Where was she?
Noel looked at Lightning at the question, noticing Snow's immediate silence. He lowered his gaze, not knowing how to answer. If he looked at Snow, he would realize he had his eyes closed. The topic... It was very touchy. The accident happened only a little while ago.

Lightning approached Noel, grabbing the front of his shirt as she stared down at him. "Where is she?" she demanded yet again, blue eyes firm but quivering in fear. That was what controlled her actions now, not logic. If she was logical, she would have waited until they were in a building to discuss this. But with Serah being missing, it was the worry that took control of the situation. Why wasn't Noel answering? Why wasn't Snow jumping in and telling her that Serah was fine...?

"Lightning," Riku said, taking a step forward. She needed to calm down. Getting worked up wouldn't solve anything here, even if he too was worried for Serah's safety. But the look on Snow's face wasn't anywhere close to encouraging.

Noel looked Lightning in the eyes, not knowing what to say. How could he tell her about her sister? "We...we defeated Caius, but he tricked me into killing him," Noel said, voice shaking a little. "We thought everything was fine, but...but..." But it wasn't. Not even close.

"Yeah, it all turned into Valhalla, I get it," Lightning said impatiently, keeping her grip tightly around Noel's shirt as she stared at him. Things didn't turn out alright. Maybe they looked okay at the start, but that obviously changed. "Where's Serah?" She was sick and tired of asking the same question over and over again, but the look in Noel's eyes scared her even if she didn't know him well. The expression was trying to prepare her for the truth, but she wasn't accepting it. Serah was fine. She had to be.

"Serah had Etro's Eyes, Lightning," Noel said finally, revealing something that was probably a bigger hint to the truth. "She had a vision and then she just..." He didn't know how to put it into words. He didn't want to verbally admit Serah was gone. He couldn't believe it himself.

"Serah's vision killed her, sis," Snow said, hands clenched into tight fists at his sides. He looked up at his family, sorrow, grief, and fury in his eyes. "Serah's gone." And she's not coming back...ever. Etro killed Serah.

Lightning grunted as she shifted her vision to Snow, though her hand tightened around Noel's shirt. Snow was the one who told her about Serah, but he wasn't going to receive her anger. Maybe. "You're lying!" she hollered, looking back to Noel as she yelled at the two of them. It wasn't like her to yell, so that betrayed her panic. "Both of you!" No way did Serah...Just...No.

"I'm not!" Noel cried, both in fear and fury. He would never lie about such a thing! Serah was gone! As much as they all didn't want to admit it, Serah was gone! Etro took her, and she was never coming back. No matter how loud Noel had screamed her name to the skies.

"Damn it, Lightning!" Snow roared, taking a step toward her. How could she think they were lying, especially Snow? This was his wife he was talking about! "Serah's dead, got it? Etro killed her!" He hated admitting it; the words were like acid in his mouth. His eyes stung as he finally gave into his emotions, though they weren't just from sorrow; fury created them as well. Fury at the goddess. "Etro took her from us, both of us!"

Lightning released Noel's shirt, her vicious eyes landing on Snow. How dare he! Last time this happened, when Serah was in crystal, Lightning was the one to lose hope. And now Snow threw in the towel! That must have meant...No! Absolutely not! She walked the short distance between her and Snow, hand curling into a fist by her side. As soon as it was set, she let it fly at Snow's jaw. "Stop it!" she hollered, voice squeaking in fury and something else. Serah wasn't gone!!

Kairi squeaked, jumping a little at the slug. She watched Snow fall to the ground in a heap. Surely he had seen the punch coming, but he didn't plan on blocking it. His grief was too in control of the situation, which meant that he really wasn't lying. Kairi's eyes were moist with unshed tears as she watched the older man push himself to sit up, the girl sad that one of her friends had passed.

"You stop it!" Snow bellowed, hands on the ground as he gazed up at the woman who refused to believe him. "You think I would lie about this?! Serah was my wife! I loved her with all I had. I saw her, Lightning!" He pushed himself to his feet, glaring down at the woman who stood hardly a foot from him. "You're sick to think this is a joke!"

"Shut up!" Lightning yelled at Snow. Of course she didn't think it was a joke! She just...didn't believe that it was true. Serah was beyond death. People like her didn't die tragic deaths. Her hand remained curled, down by her side now. Snow was stupid to stand up again. He had to have remembered what happened last time they were in this type of situation--He rose again and she slugged him again. Yet this time, she hesitated. He believed...Serah was...

Snow curled his hands into tight fists before turning, punching the concrete wall next to him with all his might. It crumbled beneath his fist, caving in as his angered cry echoed throughout the street. He punched it again, and then a third time as he let out his anger, but it would never be enough. His life was just taken from him, by a goddess who cursed her with the Eyes. "Screw Etro!" he hollered.

Riku wasn't sure what to do, fighting his own emotions as he witnessed Snow lose himself in his grief. He had closed his eyes when his friend continued punching the wall, but once the noise stopped, Riku opened his eyes again. They looked over at Sora and Kairi, seeing that tears were falling down Kairi's face. Of course she would cry; Serah was her friend, a gentle soul who didn't deserve to die. Not when she was trying to save the world. Not when she was doing something for the greater good. Riku let his sight fall on Lightning, hesitating to approach her. What could he even do? Her sister was...gone. Serah was gone.

Stop it! Lightning wanted to screech. Stop it, stop it, stop it! She devoted a year of her life to serving Etro! Etro didn't kill Serah. Lightning's work wasn't all for nothing! But...it was. And she lost everything because she was the one forced to fight in this war. She took a few steps away from Snow in horror, her expression changing completely as her eyes' expression also shattered to reveal brokenness instead of fury. Who cared about walls at a time like this? Serah was...dead.

Snow kept his fist to the wall, but his anger betrayed him, his voice breaking a bit as he released a small sob. He hung his head as he faced the wall, his back to the others as he grieved. Serah... My Serah... She was gone, forever. Never again would he see that smile, or hear that laugh. Or experience the warmth that radiated from her heart. His reason for living was gone.

Noel closed his eyes, lowering his chin as he grieved in silence. He had gotten close to Serah over this last journey, and cared for her greatly. He tried to protect her, much like he tried to protect Yeul. But he failed... He couldn't save her.

Lightning continued backing up, hearing Sora say her name from where he stood. She registered deep sorrow in his eyes, but it was nothing compared to her own. Her last family was gone. The reason she lived for so long was gone. She grunted and spun around on her feet, nearly tripping over herself in uncharacteristic clumsiness as she fled the scene. She didn't know where she was going and she didn't care. It didn't matter anymore.
Riku reached out to Lightning instantly. "Light, wait!" he called. He didn't hesitate taking off after her, a small grunt leaving him as Snow and Noel grieved, and Kairi silently cried. He couldn't do anything for them, and maybe he couldn't do anything for Lightning either, but it was worth a shot. Now...he was all she had left.

Lightning didn't care that there were probably guards patrolling the area nearby with their recent escape, and she didn't care that all their shouting probably brought them even closer. She didn't even care if she ran into them now as she continued away from the group. If she did see them right now, she wouldn't fight back. She'd yell at them, "Take me now! Please!" She couldn't bear the grief.
