Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku forced himself to move faster, Keyblade long gone as he sprinted after the love of his life. He knew instantly that she didn't care what happened to her now that Serah was gone, but...Serah wouldn't want this! He knew she wouldn't want Lightning to give up! The fact that Lightning was doing just that hurt him inside, but it was the grief talking. Because of that, he knew she would be reckless. He had to catch her.

Lightning tripped over her own two feet, falling flat except for the arms that scraped along the hard ground to protect her face. She stopped skidding after a few inches, but she didn't get off her stomach. She didn't move at all. Her body trembled and her mouth felt extremely dry as a soft sob broke through her lips. Serah was dead.
Riku saw what happened, and he only continued running. He stopped next to Lightning, kneeling down next to her as he put a hand on her shoulder. "Light?" he called softly, that sob not unnoticed by him. Of course he heard it. Any sound like that which left Lightning was seen or heard by him. He couldn't ignore her agony, or his own. Serah was like family to him too. But he had to keep it together. At least for now.

Lightning hiccuped another sob, keeping her face buried in her hands as she stayed down. She knew Riku would rather have her this way than sprinting towards certain doom. At the moment, she wasn't sure what she wanted. She just knew what she needed to do, and that was cry and scream and curse whoever caused Serah's death. The first part was easily being completed now, wet and sloppy tears dripping from her eyes to the lifeless ground.
Riku moved his hand to Lightning's arm, lightly tugging on it so he could at least pull her to his chest. He just wanted to hold her, and it was the least she could take from him like now. He wouldn't say anything or do anything else. He would just hold her.

Lightning groaned, Riku touching skin that she scraped. That pain was nothing compared to the emotional pain though. Serah had always been Lightning's closest family. Losing her mother, father, and baby sister were hard. But losing Serah was a completely different level of loss. She didn't fight against Riku tugging at her arm; there was no fight left in her.
Riku pulled Lightning to his chest, cradling her body with one arm while the other hand lifted to the back of her head and held her close. He squeezed his eyes shut as he listened to her cry, her sobs now muffled by his chest as he kept his arms around her. "I know...I know..." he said, his voice thick with sadness. He knew this was hard, and how sad she was. He was upset too, devastated, but not nearly as much as Lightning.

Light's arms hung limply by her sides, the young woman sitting with her legs off to the side as she was pressed into Riku's chest. She was hyperventilating with her sobs, having a hard time taking in breaths and even finding the will to. But she couldn't stop herself now. She wheezed, whimpered, and sobbed like a child, her arms eventually weaving their way around Riku and gripping him as tightly as she could. It was natural for somebody grieving so deeply to grip back whatever was holding them in reality. That was the case for her now.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at the sobs that entered his ears, and he silently rocked Lightning back and forth as he held her to him. He wouldn't let go until she asked him to. He had never lost somebody so close to him before, and unfortunately Lightning was experiencing that. "I know," he said again. "I know, honey." He felt his lips tremble as he thought of Serah, and how she said goodbye to him. She knew this was going to happen...didn't she? And yet she still went... "I'm sad too." Riku's voice shook slightly with unexpressed sadness, the young man fighting his own tears. Serah...

Make it stop! Lightning wanted to cry. Make the pain go away. Please! She was a person of extremes. She was happy one minute and sad the next. Not just sad, but depressed sad. And now, with this sadness...It was far too much for her to handle. She wanted to pass out. She wanted to sleep forever. She wanted to disappear and never face a world without Serah again.
Riku didn't know how long he sat there, and he didn't care. All that mattered was the person in his arms, cradled to his chest and crying. He wouldn't let her be alone in this. He was with her, forever...and so was Serah, but in spirit. "I'm so sorry," he whispered weakly. I'm so, so sorry... Lightning didn't deserve this. Serah didn't deserve her cruel fate. None of this was fair.

Sora, Kairi, and the other two young men approached silently, seeing the two that were sitting on the ground. Sora shed a few tears himself, the grief in the air too thick for him not to. Serah was a good person. Everyone connected to her was good as well. Snow, Noel, and Lightning...they didn't deserve the pain. He stood a few feet away, not bothering to say anything. There was nothing for him to say, no joke he could say to set things right. Not this time.
Riku heard the footsteps, but he didn't look up. He pressed his lips to Lightning's hair, holding the position as he kept his arms around the woman. He wouldn't let her go, not until she had enough. But at this rate...she wouldn't last much longer. A tear lingered on the corner of his eyes before trailing down his cheek, everyone full of sorrow and suffering. This was a tragedy, one they had never experienced before.

Lightning's arms slowly lowered down to her sides again, her body limp in Riku's arms. Every once in a while it trembled along with a hiccup, but the sobs died down. Not because the grief was any less extreme, but because of the overwhelming fatigue that she felt. Her body wanted to pass out but her mind wouldn't let her. So she just leaned her weight against Riku, uncaring and unknowing that there were others nearby who were also grieving.
Snow could only stare at his sister, who had been his only family besides Serah. His eyes were puffy from his own show of sorrow, but he was silent now, numb. How could he feel anything after experiencing the worst pain in the world? It would take a long time to recover from this, and he was sure Lightning would feel the same.

We should go... Sora wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut. The guards could show up at any time, and this wasn't a good place to fight. Fighting at all right now seemed like a terrible idea, considering how broken over half their group was at the loss of Serah. He didn't even know her well and he was deeply distraught. How could somebody so innocent die?
Riku finally pulled his lips back from Lightning's hair, instead lowering them to her ear. "We have to go," he told her softly. They had to get somewhere safe. She had to at least make it there, and then he would hold her some more. They couldn't get caught by the guards. Not now.

Lightning didn't bother responding or acknowledging Riku. She just stayed where she was and stayed silent. Of course she didn't care if they were caught or not. Nothing much mattered anymore. The world was damned, Serah was gone, and Lightning was (mostly) alone. But if Riku wanted to move, she wouldn't fight him.
Riku opened his eyes when Lightning didn't respond, wordlessly turning his head to kiss her hair again. It was then that he adjusted his hold, already knowing that Lightning wouldn't even try walking. Instead of forcing her, he simply picked her up. He turned to his friends, ignoring the moisture in his eyes as he nodded to them. He was ready when they were.

Sora nodded faintly, about to summon his Keyblade into his grasp. He supposed that he was leading, considering that Riku had his hands full and Noel and Snow were grieving. And Kairi--he didn't want her up front. Apparently he wasn't going to be a much better leader though. He looked behind them, grunting when he saw guards with guns running down the path towards them. That was just great. That was the last thing they needed right now.
Riku cursed under his breath, knowing that they had no choice but to run for it. He tightened his grasp on Lightning as he took a step back, but then he turned, making a run for it. If he would have looked behind him, he would have seen Snow, Kairi, and Noel follow his lead. They needed to lose the guards, quickly.

Sora summoned his Keyblade, taking the rear of the pack to fend off the guards. He grunted, sending balls of light at the three guards and impacting all of them before he sprinted to catch up to his friends. None of them had any clue where they were going, either! They had to just duck out of sight for a while. It didn't matter where.
Kairi wasn't sure how long they had been running for, but she could feel herself getting tired. She wasn't the only one; Noel even looked it too. But it seemed like the guards kept coming. She yelped when they were suddenly shot at, the bullets barely missing her. She saw Riku had stopped for only a second before making a decision and turning right, and before she started after him, she turned to her husband, who was a bit behind. He was protecting them, thank goodness. Kairi's eyes widened at a sudden assault, bullets coming their way again. Kairi called her husband's name in fear, wanting him to catch up. Just after his name left her lips, Kairi was knocked to the ground with a loud shriek, her shoulder on fire and blood instantly oozing from the wound as she collapsed. A bullet managed to hit her.

Sora glanced behind him in surprise, seeing Kairi on the ground and blood covering her shoulder. "K-Kairi!" he called, voice filled with fear. When a bullet soared over his head, he whirled around to the guards. Oh, they sure were in for it now. Nobody shot at his wife and got away with it. Nobody at all! With a surge of emotion, his clothing transformed into black and white. Two Keyblades appeared in his hands as he sprinted at the surprised guards, using unnecessary force to take them down. How dare they shoot at his wife?!
Kairi groaned in agony, placing a hand on her shoulder but yelping when it burned with pain. She took her hand away, which was covered in blood, at the same time hearing footsteps approach. She opened her watery eyes in time to see Noel bend down next to her. He didn't say anything as he picked her up, lifting her from the ground. The movement hurt her shoulder, the young woman crying out in pain. Noel didn't have time to soothe her, instantly running the way Riku and Snow had gone. He was thinking logically, to get her out of the line of fire.
