Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora looked at Aqua, confused at her reaction. Did she know Xehanort? He supposed that it was possible, since much of Xehanort's past was a mystery to him. He knew that he was formerly Ansem's apprentice, but he didn't know much more than that.
Terra... Aqua shook her head, not able to believe this. "Are you sure that was his name?" she asked the three of them, her hand coming back to her side. This was very important, and she needed them to be completely honest with her.

"Positive," Sora said with a nod, eyebrows furrowing slightly. He had heard as much from King Mickey himself, so he wasn't going to doubt things. After all, the King was more knowledgeable than Sora was on many issues.

Aqua closed her eyes, eyebrows furrowing as well. "Master Xehanort..." she said very quietly. That was the only Xehanort she'd known, and he was capable of such a dark deed. But...he had possessed Terra! What happened to her best friend after she rescued him from the Darkness? And when did Xehanort become a Heartless?

Riku arched an eyebrow. "Master?" he said, glancing from Aqua to his friends. As in, a Keyblade Master? There had to be some mistake... Neither Xehanort's Heartless or Nobody ever wielded the Keyblade.

Sora looked over at Riku, catching his look. He agreed with the obvious question on Riku's face, but he asked a more general one of his own. "Who was Master Xehanort?"
"The cause of everything my friends and I had to deal with so long ago," Aqua said, lifting a hand to her heart. "He was a friend to my own master, Master Eraqus, but he was obsessed with power...and Darkness." There was so much more that she had to explain, and as much as it hurt to dwell on it, all three of the teens before her deserved to hear it.

Sora frowned, and if he wasn't holding Kairi's hand, he would have folded his arms over his chest. So, Xehanort was a problem even eleven years ago? He had never even thought of that possibility, so he was interested in what Aqua had to say about the whole thing.
"Terra, Ventus, and I each took our own paths to see what his real plans were," Aqua continued softly. "And by the time we figured it out, things were nearly out of our control. Master Xehanort planned on opening Kingdom Hearts, and the only way he knew to do that was to form the ultimate weapon--the X-blade."

X-blade? Sora thought, staring down at the ground as he listened to Aqua. He had never heard of such a thing, but at the same time, it felt all too familiar to him. He tried to ignore those feelings, focusing on listening to Aqua's story.

Aqua frowned. "Two hearts were needed to make the X-blade, one of pure light, and the other pure darkness," she continued gravely. "Master Xehanort needed Ventus to do it." And now, her best friend was sleeping, and had been for the last eleven years.

Riku's eyes narrowed at what he was hearing. Ventus? He was one of the Keyblade Warriors they still needed to find. And Aqua just said he was essential to creating a weapon?

"What happened?" Sora asked at the mention of Ven. Somehow, he knew that it wasn't good, but he didn't know the details of anything. He was glad that Aqua was here to fill them in on things, even if this wasn't any easy topic to discuss.
"Vanitas joined with him when I wasn't around to stop it," Aqua said with a small shake of her head, recalling how Vanitas knocked her out before she even had time to react. "He was the darkness in Ven's heart, and if he joined with Ven, the X-blade would be forged. When I woke up...Mickey was there, and both of us had to take on Vanitas, who took over Ven's body." The young woman closed her eyes. "It was a nightmare, seeing Ven hold that thing." He had been holding the X-blade, and he wasn't...Ven. It was horrifying.

Sora felt his eyes soften, both at Aqua's story and the emotion she felt telling it. He almost wanted to tell her to stop telling them about it, but he needed to know what happened, because maybe then it would lead him and Riku to Ven and Terra.

"But with Mickey's help," Aqua continued, opening her eyes, "Vanitas was stopped, and the X-blade was broken. But it destroyed everything in the Keyblade Graveyard after that, just spiraling out of control. It was then that Ven returned to his normal self, and I managed to catch him before everything just...went black." Aqua lifted her gaze to Sora, Riku, and Kairi, eyebrows furrowed in seriousness. "I had to take Ven somewhere safe until he woke up. And Terra..." The young woman stopped, thinking over how awful it had been to see his body possessed.

Riku listened in silence, his surprise at the King's involvement fading as he absorbed everything Aqua was telling them. Everything was so...dark eleven years ago. And when she was here, she never showed any sign of it.

Sora stared down at the ground, waiting for Aqua to finish. So...she took Ven somewhere safe. That was good, but was he still there after all this time? What happened to him after he was no longer possessed by Vanitas? He wasn't asleep still...was he? Sora had all these questions about the youngest boy in the group, though he somehow felt as if the answers were buried deep inside himself. That was why he didn't ask anything about Ven, feeling anxious to hear about Terra now.

"Master Xehanort possessed Terra's body," Aqua finally revealed, her hand becoming a fist over her heart. She'd never said it out loud before, but it hurt just as much. "He was using it for some kind of...vessel. But Terra was still there. I...I saw him when I was trying to free his heart." The Keyblade Master fought the emotions within her. She hadn't expressed them after all this time, and she didn't want to do it in front of these kids.

Riku's eyes closed at that. He knew all about possession, having suffered from it himself. Xehanort had that trait even in Heartless form, when he took over Riku's body for his own achievements.

Sora's free hand tightened into a fist, the teen careful not to squeeze Kairi's hand harder than he already was. Xehanort...He was always taking advantage of people, whether he was a Heartless, a Nobody, or a human. What a creep. "Where's Terra now?" he managed to ask, looking back up at Aqua when he made the inquiry.
Aqua shook her head. "I'm not sure. The last time I saw him was when we both were falling into the darkness," she said. "I knew that only one of us could go back, so I sacrificed myself for him. After eleven years...he could be anywhere. Master Xehanort could still be in control..." It was frightening not to know, and it was even worse given the time span between then and now.

But Xehanort doesn't still exist, does me? Sora thought, looking over at Riku in question. A Heartless and a Nobody were formed when the real person was gone, so did that mean that something happened to the real Xehanort? And Terra...what did this mean for him?
Riku felt a gaze on him, and he instantly knew it was Sora. He opened his eyes and glanced over at his friend before turning his focus to Aqua. "You said you knew King Mickey, right?" he asked. When Aqua nodded, he continued. "He sent Sora a letter saying that we had to find you, Terra, and Ventus. We're not exactly sure why, but I'm starting to think Xehanort might have something to do with it." It only made sense. He was apparently a problem in the past, when Aqua was fighting. And he became a problem in two different forms just recently. There was a connection, and Riku knew that he was the center of it all.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, looking back down to the ground in thought. It made sense; even if Xehanort's real person wasn't around anymore, he could still reek havoc somehow. Maybe the King knew something about Xehanort that they didn't. Regardless, that wasn't a part of their mission. First, they had to find Ventus and Terra. Then they could worry about Xehanort.
The Keyblade Master nodded once in recognition. "All right. As far as your mission goes, I believe I can help with that," Aqua said, lowering her hand back to her side. Her gaze moved from Riku to Sora. "I'm the only one who knows where Ven is." He was in the Room of Awakening, in the ruins of the Land of Departure. It was the place only she could create, and she was glad it was her and her only. He was safe there...or at least she hoped.
  • Author
Sora nodded to that, looking up from the ground and meeting Aqua's gaze. "We'll leave to get him whenever you're ready, then," he said, knowing that Aqua probably wanted to get to Ventus as soon as possible. And besides, he and Riku were supposed to complete mission, so the quicker they got it done, the sooner they could find out more about Xehanort's whereabouts. And then after that, maybe they could live in peace for a little while.

"Right away then," Aqua said with a small nod. She wasn't sure exactly how they would get to where they needed to be, though. She no longer had her armor or her Keyblade, so it would be up to the two boys before her how they got there.

Kairi moved her eyes from Aqua to Sora, gently squeezing his hand. It was time for him to go...wasn't it? She had to say goodbye again...

  • Author
Sora nodded slightly, looking past Kairi to his best friend. "Riku, why don't you show her the ship awhile?" he asked. "I'll be back in a minute." Obviously he had to say goodbye to Kairi before he left; he wasn't just going to walk away and pretend that she didn't exist.
