Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"The citizens of that world were not happy that we imposed so strict rules," Pulse stated lightly. "So they rebelled and faced fierce consequences. Their world will be an example along with this one. All who rebel will be put down." And these people surrounding him--they were definitely going to be problems if he didn't intervene. That was why he was here now.

Kairi frowned at the god's words, her hands curling into small fists. "You wouldn't dare," she hissed. The people of Destiny Islands did the right thing in defending their rights and home. Rebellion should have been expected, and by the chaos emitting from Pulse's hands, he expected it here too.

"We already have," Pulse said in amusement. "Lindzei has squandered the rebellious there, and now I shall do it here. I hope you all enjoyed your time in the Light, because nothing but Darkness and Chaos will surround you now." He extended his hands by his sides, Darkness pouring out of them and covering the room all around him. In just a second, it would be in pure darkness.

Riku grunted, closing his eyes as he lifted his arms in front of him. No! This couldn't be happening! None of this was supposed to happen. Not Serah...not Valhalla...and not this. He heard Kairi gasp in fear, also catching Snow stumble into some furniture to try and get away from the Darkness. But there was no chance of that. Within seconds, the room was completely black, coverd in chaos.

Sora lifted his arms at the darkness, grunting along with a few others. It engulfed the room, but not him. He could tell he was still in that same room. "Hey!" he called, eyes darting around for Pulse. Little did he know that nobody heard him. Nor did they hear the same thing that Pulse said to him.

"I see your heart, Sora. Though a Keyblade Master now, you were never even meant to wield the weapon. You were a last resort. Worthless to the Keyblade the first time it laid its sights on you. How does that make you feel, hm?"

Kairi lowered her arms when everything suddenly became very quiet, but when she opened her eyes, she couldn't see anything. "...Sora?" she called softly, on edge. "Riku?" Where was everyone...and where was she?

"Kairi... A newlywed, a young girl just barely over the age of nineteen. Your life was meant to be simple, clean, pure. But now you have the curse of Valhalla upon you, all because Riku and Lightning could not finish their jobs. How unhappy does that make you?"

"I know I wasn't the first chosen," Sora declared. He knew that almost immediately. "I don't care. I'm happy that I was blessed with the Keyblade at all." He met so many friends because of it! Saved so many worlds and ended so many people's suffering. Maybe he wasn't meant for it originally, but he had it now.

"Riku was chosen above you. He was going to have the Keyblade to the Realm of Light. Was he really more fit than you, Sora? You saved the worlds more than he has. You saved the Princesses of Heart. Why weren't you the chosen one right away? Why Riku above you, when you clearly are more deserving?"

Kairi lowered her chin, closing her eyes at the words that reached her. It was Pulse talking to her, and he was seeing into her heart, where she was hurting. "Stop it..." she said softly. She didn't want to hear this!

"Why? Does the truth inflict pain upon you, Princess? You and your Keyblader were supposed to be happy together, and now you are miserable due to your friends' incapabilities. Why should you suffer the consequences of their actions?"

Unaware of the conversations with Pulse going on around him, Noel looked around the empty darkness, confused...but not blind. "Pulse!" he hollered at the top of his lungs. He was answered with an evil chuckle.

"Noel Kreiss, the world's last hope. You tried to save the future when you were with the newest Seeress, but you could not save her, much like you could not save your Yeul. Does that make you feel ashamed? Do you blame yourself for the death of another's family?"

"If you stand against me, time will be reset. And I shall reset it my way. Years ago--that night that you were to recieve the Keyblade shall change. Riku will be the chosen one after all, and you will be helpless and nothing compared to your friend once again. Why should you suffer that? You don't deserve it. Not when you should have been the chosen one all along. Things turned out the way that they should have, Sora. Don't change fate now."

Lightning had lifted her arms when the force came, but nothing impacted her. The room temperature was even the same. She grunted and looked around only to see Darkness. She couldn't even see the person who had been standing right in front of her. "Riku?" she called a bit shakily.

"He cannot hear you. Nobody can. You're all alone, Claire Farron. Just as you were always meant to be."

"Stand by my side, Noel, and I will bring back your Seeress. The Yeul you befriended and came to cherish. The Eyes of Etro will no longer curse the young one, and she will be yours for the rest of time. Side with me, and your deepest wish shall be granted."

"What the...?" Snow looked around in the darkness, frowning at his failing eyesight. He knew Pulse was behind this, the man surrounded by chaos. That was the source of the blackness.

"Your wife rests peacefully in the heavens, Snow. Her sorrows have been ended, ones the reality of this time inflicted upon her. Do you miss her? Do you wish to see her again and speak with her? What would you say if I told you I had the ability to grant you that wish, to bring back your wife?"

  • Author

"You hate being alone, don't you Claire? With the loss of your parents, sisters, and friends, you almost never reach out to others around you. Yet you dared to love a Keyblade wielder. Do you not yet realize that everyone you touch dies? That you are a curse? Serah died because of you. Continue to be close to Riku and he will die too."

"Stop it," Lightning groaned. This was the type of stuff that she hated to hear. Yes, she heard it before. She said it to herself already. And she was always afraid...always scared to lose Riku. Especially now that he was all she had left.

Riku was unaware of the fact that Snow was cursing Pulse to hell for his words, the young man stuck in his own dark portion of the chaos. He looked around, eyes wide as he tried to see anything in the darkness. "Light?" he called. "Sora! Kairi!" But he got no response, none from them anyway. He was only answered by Pulse.

"Your friends cannot hear you. They are locked in their own cages of chaos, facing their fears and deepest sorrows. How does that make you feel, Riku, to know that your friends are suffering and that there is nothing you can do to protect them?"

"Shut up!" Riku hollered to the empty sky, hearing Pulse's voice all around him. "Let them go!"

"You don't want me to stand against you," Sora repeated, eyebrows furrowed as he looked down at the ground. In another conversation, Pulse was promising Lightning that if she fought him, she'd wind up all alone, but if she didn't, she'd get Serah back. Sora wouldn't have fallen for that, considering how he knew people couldn't be brought back from the dead. "So what do you want me to do?"

"Claim what is yours, Keyblade Master. Show that you are the rightful heir to the Kingdom Key and prove that Riku never should have been the chosen one. Show that you are above him."

"Not so fast, Keyblade Master. That wish I cannot grant. However, the wish that is set in your heart... It is to protect Lightning in her time of grief. But know this, saving her from her sorrow is impossible. Her heart is far too deep in the abyss of pain that it cannot be retrieved."

"No..." Riku said with a small shake of his head, lowering his gaze to the ground. "I don't believe you." He would save Lightning, no matter what. He vowed to stick by her side a long time ago. That wasn't about to change now.

"You can't bring back the dead," Lightning said softly. She pulled up her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. It wasn't exactly a good defensive position, but there was nothing she could do to stop this. Pulse was going to keep talking until he got to her.

"You know what gods are capable of, Claire. Etro saved you from death, and she was a dying goddess. What's to say that I cannot bring back somebody who has completely passed? It is not a skill beyond me. However, it will be beyond my will if you resist me. Be a good and loyal servant of the gods and you shall have your sister returned to you. That is my promise."

"A mistake on your part. You see, I see into your heart, Riku. You wish to protect the one you love, but you do not think you possess the power to do it. How fitting, considering your best friend has chosen to use your weaknesses to his advantage."

"Sora?" Riku asked, making sure he understood correctly. He looked at the ground, confused. Why would Sora do that? He knew he was mad at him, sure, but...Sora wouldn't betray him...would he?

"Correct. The young man believes he is the rightful bearer of the Keyblade of Light, not you. You failed to protect the worlds, so he was the one who got the Keyblade instead. Does that disappoint you, Riku? That Sora is willing to go against you to prove he is more deserving of such a mighty weapon?"

  • Author

"Liar!" Lightning cried, tears streaming down her face. Pulse would never grant her any favors. She was directly connected to Etro. He wanted her to die for that reason. He was just trying to raise her hopes before that happened. "Leave me alone." She buried her face in her knees, hearing one last comment from his voice.

"You go on crying, Claire. Better that than oppose me and curse your sister to death twice."

Riku ground his teeth together at the words, knowing that there was a possibility of them being true. How couldn't they be, when Sora was so furious with him earlier? Maybe Sora did deserve the Keyblade more than he did, since he was so selfless. He saved them all multiple times, with Riku's help rarely involved. "Go away, Pulse," he demanded, hissing between his teeth. He was done here, also unaware of the fact that Kairi was crying at the things Pulse was proving true to her. What a rotten god.

Lightning heard a low chuckle from the god before the room began to transform. She peeked her eyes open briefly, seeing that the darkness was gone within a few seconds and everyone was still there but Pulse. Riku was in front of her, Kairi on her couch, and Sora leaning against one of the walls in the room with his head lowered. She didn't know what the others heard, and quite frankly, she didn't care.
Riku heard muffled crying nearby, and he opened his eyes to see Kairi with her head buried in her hands. He doubted she realized that she was out of her "cage of chaos" now and everyone could hear, but that was when his eyes went to her husband. Was Pulse right in what he said, about Sora betraying him? He couldn't see it clearly...but he knew there was always that possibility.
  • Author
Sora felt a gaze on him, so he lifted his gaze to Riku. He wasn't sure what was in his eyes, but right now, it wasn't betrayal. Yeah, Pulse's words got to him. He was upset and questioning a lot. But setting him up to betray his best friend didn't mean that it was going to happen immediately. He took his gaze off Riku and started over towards Kairi, hoping to comfort her somehow.

Noel looked around, having avoided any truth in Pulse's claims in his own chaos-filled trap. "Everyone okay?" he asked, seeing Snow nod before catching Riku do the same. He sighed and ran his hand over the back of his head. Where did Pulse even go now that his plan was finished?

Riku turned around to face Lightning, seeing that she had tear stains on her cheeks. He sat down next to her and put a hand on her shoulder, questions in his eyes. What did Pulse say to her? Was it half as bad as what he went through, or worse?

Lightning lowered her head, half-burying her head in her knees. She knew that she was fed a lot of lies, but some of it was truth. It was her fault that Serah was dead. There must have been something about Lightning that made the other people in her life die, because no person should have had to go through all that loss unless they were a curse somehow. Riku tried to convince her otherwise so many times, but the doubts still lingered and haunted her.
While Kairi started to quiet down, Riku felt sudden tension. Lots of it, and he knew it wasn't just him and Lightning creating it. He looked across the room to Snow, seeing that he was glaring in their direction. More specifically, Lightning's direction. "...Snow," he called, briefly catching the man's attention. "What's with you?" Why was he glaring at Lightning like that?
  • Author
Sora blinked, surprised that Riku was looking over at Snow and not at him and Kairi. How typical it was that he was distracted by something and not focusing on his best friends. When he looked at Snow, though, Sora had to admit that Riku had reason to be concerned. Snow really looked ticked off.
