Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"I need to talk to her," Snow said, voice dangerously low. "Right now." He saw Riku get in a defensive position almost instantly, but Snow knew that Riku wouldn't stand a chance against him. "Lightning, get up."

"Snow," Riku said firmly. There was no reason to get demanding. Why did he need to talk to Lightning though? Riku didn't quite understand. But...did he need to?

Lightning set her eyes on Snow, confused at the tone but not standing up against it. Instead, she slowly rose to her feet and faced towards him. Fortunately, most of her tears were soaked into the skin of her legs, so she didn't look like a complete wreck. Kairi had gotten more emotional than she had just now. But Snow...he was emotional, but a different kind of emotion was going through his veins by his expression. Anger.
Snow saw Riku rise after Lightning, and he could already tell that he was defensive for her sake. He used to be that way with Serah, but that time was over...thanks to Lightning. He started toward her slowly. "Is there something you want to tell me about Serah?" he asked her, voice firm and threatening in tone. She killed her...didn't she?

Lightning looked at Snow uneasily, confused and a bit dazed because of all that Pulse said to her. She wasn't connecting the dots that he said something similar to Snow. "What?" she asked dumbly, her eyes still resting on Snow as he approached. Something about Serah? Did he mean...What did Pulse tell him?
"The Eyes of Etro," Snow said, voice rising with anger as he got closer to Lightning. He stopped only a small foot from her, though he noticed Riku was tensing beside her. "Did you make Serah a Seeress?!" She couldn't have... Not Lightning. She couldn't be responsible for Serah's death...

Lightning grunted. So...Pulse filled Snow in. And now Snow was filling in the rest of the room to the truth. She kept her eyes on him, hesitating only a moment before she nodded softly. Yes...she gave Serah the Eyes of Etro. It was a complete accident, but it happened. And she was taking the responsibility for it.

Snow was taken aback by the confirmation at first, but then his shock turned into rage. "...What the hell is the matter with you?!" he boomed, taking a step toward Lightning as he screamed. "Have you lost your damn mind?!" He felt himself get pushed back slightly, realizing that it was Riku who performed the shove.

"Back off, Snow," Riku growled. Lightning was still grieving about this whole thing. She didn't need Snow to make it worse for her. It was hard enough already.

Lightning was half tempted to step back and allow Riku to protect her, but she didn't. Instead, she took a small step closer to Snow. "Do it," she said softly, eyes locked onto his fiery ones as hers were filled with sorrow. If he wanted to punch her, this was his chance. She deserved it and would take it. She would take his wrath.

Snow realized that Riku was going to stand in his way if he did anything, and even though he had the urge, he knew he could never hit a woman. Not ever, especially Serah's sister. "Damn it, Lightning," he cursed the woman, glaring at her. "She was your sister! What were you thinking sending her out to battle on her own?!"

"She wasn't on her own," Noel said, taking a few steps forward so he could be included in this. "She was with me." He was by Serah's side the entire time, save for the moment they got separated in the Historia Crux. But that was an honest mistake.

"And look what good that did her," Snow snapped, turning on Noel. He jabbed a finger in his direction. "This is your fault too. I knew I should have stayed and protected Serah when I saw you two!" But he couldn't. He got taken away from his love.

"I was the one who passed on Etro's power to her," Lightning said, staring at Snow as she spoke the most that she had since the incident. "I didn't realize the consequences, but I did it. Put the blame on me." It was that simple. There was nothing Noel could have done to save her after what Lightning did.

"She did it accidentally," Riku intervened, looking back at Lightning before finding Snow's furious form. "She didn't know it until it was too late." He knew Snow was convinced at least by that, but the fury was still present. "Maybe you should take a walk."

"Stay out of this!" Snow roared, snapping at Riku as he glared at the twenty-year-old. "Defend her all you want, but it won't be good enough. Not for me. I used to be able to protect Serah, but now I can't. She got taken from me, and I'll never get her back. This hell is enough proof of that." He looked from Riku's hard eyes to Lightning, but then he turned, marching out of the room and down the hall. He approached a bedroom and slammed the door shut as loud as he could, making a few members of the party jump at the loud noise. He would grieve on his own.

Lightning lowered her head wordlessly, feeling like all eyes were on her now that Snow was gone. As if losing her sister wasn't bad enough. Now she was the one being blamed for it. And rightfully so, too. She shut her eyes, not bothering to say a word. There were no words to say, because none of them would bring Serah back to life.
Noel shook his head, looking at everyone else in the room. "Don't you guys get it?" he asked, opening his arms. "This is what he wants. This is exactly what Pulse wants to happen to us--for us to split apart. We can't give him that satisfaction." He frowned, setting his hands on his hips. "We have to stick together. If we don't, we'll all die."

"Stop with the optimistic pep talks," Lightning muttered, looking up at Noel with angry and hurt eyes. "Nobody cares right now." She doubted it anyway. Snow and Lightning were upset, and the latter's state added Riku to the list. Sora and Kairi were also distraught. Noel had to learn to keep his mouth shut every once in a while.
"You don't care enough to let this world fall even farther into hell?" Noel challenged. This wasn't the future he wanted. Humanity died off in his own time, and it wasn't comforting to be the last one born. It was terrifying. He didn't want that to happen.

Lightning looked up at Noel, hearing anger in his tone. He wasn't the first to be angry with her lately, so she wasn't phased by it. "This hell can't get much worse," she stated. The gods were persecuting the traitors. Right now, the best thing to do was lay low and let them have their way for a while. It was either that or end up dead.
"I beg to differ," Noel stated lowly, crossing his arms and looking away. They could let Pulse, Bhunivelze, and Linzei get their way, and then everything could get much worse. He wasn't willing to let that happen. If he died trying to do it on his own, he would take that risk. The future was worth it in his eyes.

Light just ignored Noel, looking down towards her feet. There was no point in arguing; even in the short time that she knew Noel, she understood that he was going to fight for the future even if he fought alone. At this rate though, fighting was just going to get them killed. Why didn't Pulse finish them off just now though? Why did he let them live...?
Kairi wiped under her eyes, sick of crying. But what Pulse said...it bothered her. He brought up how her future was no ruined, and that her marriage would never be what she expected. Her life was miserable because of her friends, and what was worse...a part of her actually believed him. I feel like a terrible person, she thought, sniffling quietly. This was all a mess.

Sora sat on the edge of the couch next to Kairi, his hand atop her head as his thumb ran over her red hair. It was an automatic and natural movement, because his thoughts were elsewhere. Pulse said that Sora should prove that he's always been worthy of the Keyblade. More worthy than Riku. He believed that he was more worthy, but...Now he was distraught. Why did the Keyblade originally pick Riku over him? He stared at the person he was thinking about in confusion, trying to understand.
Riku stood next to Lightning, but he no longer gazed at her, deciding to give her some privacy. Snow was furious, Lightning was depressed and grieving, Kairi was crying, and Noel was rebelling. As for Sora, Riku wasn't really sure. He glanced over at his friend and saw him looking at him, which made him furrow his eyebrows. Why was Sora staring at him like that?

Sora shifted his gaze away from Riku when he was caught staring. Riku was looking at him oddly and he didn't like it. But he also didn't like this situation. He had to prove himself somehow--to show the world that he was more worthy of the Keyblade than Riku. Maybe a good way to do that was to save this world. But...he already saved more worlds than Riku and still didn't prove his worth. He grunted, flexing his free hand and summoning the Kingdom Key. He looked down to his side, studying it. Why didn't you choose me? What made him better than me?
Kairi turned her head at the Kingdom Key's appearance, confused. What was her husband doing with that out? "...Sora?" she asked quietly. Why did he summon the Keyblade just now? There was no need for it. Pulse was gone...

"Nothing, Kai," Sora said softly, keeping his eyes on the weapon. He just wanted to look at it. The weapon that believed Riku's heart was superior to his own. What didn't the Keyblade understand?! Riku was strong physically, but he fell to the Darkness easily. Sora didn't. He walked the right path no matter how hard it was. So why was Riku chosen over him? He dropped his Keyblade to the ground, letting it sit there as he glared at it halfheartedly. It was hard to give it a full glare, considering all they went through together.

Riku's eyebrows remained furrowed as he gazed at the Keyblade that rested on the ground, but then he moved his eyes to Sora. He said it was nothing, but Riku got a different vibe. What did Pulse say to him to make him act like this? What was the point of focusing on the Keyblade?
