Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku cried out in pain, but he fought to keep his Keyblade in front of him and block the incoming bullets. Sora missed a bullet...but there was nothing he could do about it now. Riku moved a little slower due to the injury, until he decided enough was enough. He grunted in aggravation, powering up as his Keyblade glowed a light blue. "That's it!" he cried, then releasing a mighty roar as he used the synergist power within him to project a giant shield all around him and Sora. Thanks to his past on this world, and his future self's endeavors, this was possible. But it was luck that he had it anyway.

Sora panted a breath as he lowered his Keyblade, seeing the shield all around them. "We gotta go," he said to Riku, glancing out and seeing that Pulse was gone. What, he didn't even want to see Sora and Riku's execution? Or maybe this wasn't meant to be an execution at all. Maybe it was meant to sever the group even further.
Riku felt the blood soaking into his jeans from the calf down, and that made it incredibly painful to stand. "Yeah," he grunted, limping slightly as he took a small step forward, keeping his shield up. The soldiers weren't showing any mercy, still shooting at the shield. But if a giant laserbeam meant to destroy this world couldn't get through it, then neither could bullets.

Sora pulled out his last potion and tossed it over Riku's head, glancing back the way that they came. It was perfectly clear, so...What did that mean? Pulse set this whole thing up to hurt the group but didn't intend to kill them? They'd have to talk about it once they got back to the others. "C'mon," he said, taking a step in the right direction. They had to flee.
Riku winced when the wound started to close around the bullet. "Damn it, Sora!" he hissed, looking over his shoulder at his friend. "The bullet!" He just enclosed the bullet in his leg. That wouldn't take the pain away! It would only keep it there! Riku looked down at his leg, fuming in both aggravation and pain. This day couldn't get any worse.

Sora's eyes widened at Riku's cry. He hadn't even thought of that. How could he have been so stupid?! He looked guiltily down at Riku's leg, realizing that this made his case look even worse. Now it was a wound that wouldn't heal. Man was he a dunce.
Riku tisked, shaking his head a little as he kept his shield up, his Keyblade held out in front of him as he took a step in the right direction. Of course, it was a slow step, considering he couldn't move very fast now. But if he had to, he would run. He couldn't let pain stop him.

As Sora and Riku backed away from the soldiers, he noticed they were shooting less. And not following. "...Sorry," he said after a few moments, glancing down at Riku's leg again. He really hadn't meant harm by it. In fact, he was thinking it was generous that he gave Riku his last potion instead of saving it in case Kairi needed it in the future. Not that Riku would care...
Riku eventually let his shield down, though it took a lot of energy out of him. He started walking with Sora once he was sure they weren't being followed, eyebrows furrowed as he fought the pain as he limped. "It's fine," he grunted. He appreciated the gesture, he really did. But it backfired...painfully.

It wasn't really fine, but... "Here," Sora said, grabbing Riku's arm and wrapping it around his shoulder. Sora was a little shorter than Riku was, but he could offer some support to get Riku off his leg. They were already halfway back, but being helpful was better late than never, right?
Riku was a little surprised to find that a part of him wanted to push Sora away, but a greater part of him accepted the offer. He leaned into Sora, but only a little, so he wouldn't be a burden on his friend's case. "Thanks," he said softly. He had gotten used to the feeling of blood-soaked clothes over the past few years, so the heaviness of his jeans in one leg wasn't anything new to Riku. He just continued walking with Sora's help, knowing already that they would get bombarded with questions as soon as they got back. It was going to be ugly.

Riku's prediction was correct. As soon as they returned to the house, everyone was startled to see the state that they were in. Sora automatically helped Riku to Lightning's couch and sat him down, seeing for the first time since everything that Lightning's eyes were extremely alert. He felt bad, though, that it took Riku being injured to snap her out of her initial daze.
Riku hissed at the tension in his calf muscle when he sat down, but he ground his teeth together to fight the pain of the enclosed bullet. The muscle was trying to heal around the bullet, but it was only causing more pain. He nodded up to Sora in thanks, not wanting to open his mouth at the moment.

Lightning went into action immediately. She got off the couch and rolled up Riku's pant leg, unaffected by the blood. Not that Sora expected anything different. Clearly she expected a different sight than what she saw though--a healed wound. When she looked up at him, he forced himself to explain. "I gave him a potion before we could get the bullet out." Lightning gave him an unpleasant look, and he added one more statement. "I'm an idiot."
Riku looked from Lightning to Sora, shaking his head. "Don't sweat it," he said lowly, fighting the pain. Riku was ticked about it at first, but...the whole situation had been aggravating. Sora had done the natural thing, and that was to heal the injured. He had just forgotten the bullet was still in...

Lightning gently touched Riku's leg with her fingertips as her hand glowed white. She had become a better mage when she served under Etro, learning tricks that she wouldn't know otherwise. One of them was knowing how to get things like bullets and claws out of an enclosed wound. She shut her eyes, taking in a soft breath through her nose as she worked her magic. The problem would be taken care of in a moment. At least the extraction wouldn't hurt worse than the wound already was, though it would sap a lot of her strength to do this now that Etro's power wasn't in her.

Riku ground his teeth together, jaw flexing and fists tightening at the magical extraction. Even if this was the easier way of getting rid of the bullet, it was still being pulled through his muscle and skin. He waited until the burning stopped, and he knew that was when Lightning actually got the bullet out of his calf.

Light's hand enclosed around the bullet briefly before she dropped it onto the floor. Her hand was shaking slightly as she tried to keep her magic strong, her hand hovering over Riku's now open wound and glowing with a soft white hue. She only managed to close it before her hand dropped into her lap and her head lowered in exhaustion. She lacked the strength to heal him properly. And the worst part was, nobody else could probably heal him all the way. Their Cure spells were good for healing broken bones and injuries along those lines, not torn muscles.
Riku flexed his calf muscle, and it still burned a little, but that was okay. It was better than nothing. He lifted his hand to sit on top of Lightning's head, releasing a small breath. "Thank you," he whispered tiredly, and in relief. His leg felt better than before, but the strength he put into the shield earlier was enough to make him want to pass out. But he had to stay awake, at least to answer questions or talk to Sora. Especially the latter.

Sora noticed Lightning nod softly in response as she kept her eyes shut and he looked away. Despite all that happened lately, he really did feel bad. First off, he hadn't meant to lead Riku into a trap. Then he didn't mean for that bullet to hit him and then he didn't mean for the bullet to be enclosed. But after all that Pulse said...maybe Riku didn't believe any of that was accident.
Kairi stood on one side of the couch, near Lightning as she looked from her to her best friend. "You okay?" she asked softly, seeing Riku nod slightly before leaning back in the couch. She knew what it felt to be hit by a bullet; it was agonizing. But hers hadn't hit muscle or been enclosed. Riku's had to have been worse.

Sora glanced over at Riku briefly before returning his gaze to the ground. "I really am sorry," he stated quietly. He hoped that Riku realized that Pulse was lying about everything that he said. Sora most definitely hadn't led Riku there to die. He had to have realized that even if the two weren't completely okay, Sora wasn't going to try and kill him or anything stupid like that....
Riku looked up at Sora before deciding they needed to discuss what happened...in private. "...C'mon," he grunted, starting to push himself up from his seat. He saw Kairi reach for him as if to help him up, but he held up a hand; he was fine. He ran a hand briefly over Lightning's hair, then focusing on Sora. "Let's talk." He then started toward the hallway, where he and Sora could converse in private. They had a lot to talk about.

Sora glanced at Riku, the ground, and then back to Riku again in nervousness. Well, he supposed that they did need to talk after that whole mess... He started after his friend, hoping and praying that this wouldn't go terribly. The fact that Riku didn't accept his apology just now wasn't a good sign.
Riku approached what looked like a study in the small house, and he walked slowly into the room, being easy on his leg. He reached a chair and slowly eased himself into it, keeping his leg straight as to not strain his calf. He knew this conversation could go one of two ways--well, or terribly. It was up to chance.
