Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku sat down on the bed, and once he was settled, he looked up at the woman he loved. "Thank you," he said softly. She helped him in more ways than one today. He appreciated it, even when she didn't have to do it. Especially since she was grieving. Riku didn't want to be the reason Lightning was avoiding it.

Light nodded faintly, not bothering to say anything. She didn't feel inclined to speak at all after Serah's passing, and now wasn't a situation that called for speaking anyway. Slowly, she unwound Riku's arm from around her shoulders and got off the bed. Instead of standing, she knelt down in front of him and looked at the leg again. Maybe she could heal it a little further...
Riku lifted his hand to Lightning's shoulder, trying to capture her attention. "No," he told her gently. He was okay; she didn't need to waste her energy on his leg right now. He would survive until morning, at least. "Don't." Riku could heal it later, or Kairi could. Lightning needed to save her energy.

Lightning shook her head softly, lifting her hand and gently placing her fingers against the leg. She knew why Riku was stopping her; he didn't want her wasting her energy. But that was precisely why she wanted to do this. If she wasn't utterly exhausted when she crawled into bed, there was no way she was going to sleep. Her thoughts would plague her all night instead.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little, but he didn't say anything more. Instead, he lifted his hand to the side of Lightning's head, silently watching. He supposed he couldn't stop her, and right now, he didn't really want to argue. Not after all the stuff that happened today.

A gentle white glow covered her hand and Riku's leg for a few moments as Lightning focused on her White magic. It was extremely taxing, considering the condition that she was in. After maybe fifteen seconds, she felt herself getting dizzy. And at twenty, she dropped her hand completely and swayed as she sat on her knees. Alright, she definitely felt like she could pass out now.
Riku reached for Lightning's hand, the pain in his leg gone now thanks to her. "Come on," he said softly. "Get up here." It was time they went to sleep and escaped reality for a while. It sounded comforting to him, at least.

Lightning lifted a hand halfway before it dropped down to her knees. She overdid it. She couldn't even lift it to Riku's hand, let alone rise to her feet and crawl into the bed. A soft grunt of weakness left her as she leaned her head against Riku's knees, her eyes shutting. She needed a minute, if not more than that.
Riku leaned forward then, placing his hands on either side of Lightning's head as he lowered his lips to her hair. I'm sorry, he apologized silently. He was sorry for all of it. Serah, his dependence, Pulse, and his friends. It was all a mess that came together to form a tragedy. It was awful.

Lightning realized when Riku kissed her that it had been stupid to exert that extra energy and heal him. The weaker she was physically, the harder it was to fight her emotions. She was suddenly choked up as tears dripped from her eyes and soaked into Riku's jeans. There were so many reasons that she was crying that she couldn't even put them into words. Serah. Valhalla. Riku's suffering. Her fears. All of it coming together and hitting her at once was killing her.
Riku felt Lightning's body tense since she was so close, but he continued to hold his position. He let his lips rest on her hair as he closed his eyes, keeping her close to him. He didn't like that they were in this situation, which was worse than anything Riku had ever experienced in his life. Well, he had the memories of the future where all of his friends were older and so was he, but that was different. Those were only memories. This... This was reality, one that he was experiencing himself. And it was ugly.

Light gathered some strength, lifting her hands and setting them on Riku's arms as he leaned his torso down to be close to her. Am I Lightning now? she wanted to ask him. When he first found her in Valhalla, she had been Rose. She liked to think that she returned to this realm as her true self, but even if she did, that person was gone now. Lightning was never broken, and this girl crying into Riku's jeans was most definitely in that state.

Riku kissed Lightning's head of pink hair again, holding the position before just letting his face remain where it was. I love you, he told her silently. No matter what happened, he was going to stick by her. He was all she had left, and he wasn't about to desert her. He had her heart, and he was going to protect it the best he could.

Light stilled herself after some time, her crying fading away. She was out of tears to cry anyway, considering that she hadn't drank anything all day to fuel the cascading tears. A soft sniffle came from her as she turned her head on Riku's knees, letting it rest on its side as she looked at the other side of the room with half-opened eyes. It was time to try and sleep.
"...Rest with me?" Riku asked softly, leaning back a little so he could have a better look at Lightning. He was sure both of them would fall asleep immediately, but he at least wanted some company while he rested. Besides, he hadn't slept alone in what felt like forever. He didn't want to start now.

Lightning nodded softly, resting her chin on Riku's knees as she gazed up at him for a moment. She set a hand on his good leg and slowly rose to her feet, feeling like she was run over by a bulldozer or something of the sort. All that she could do was hope that she felt a little bit better in the morning. But that wasn't too likely.
Once Lightning was on her feet, Riku slowly moved so he was on the other side of the bed and she could simply crawl in. He didn't bother with the sheets, just wanting to rest and escape for a while. He doubted he would be cold anyway; he was going to hold Lightning while he still could. With Pulse, anything could happen.

Lightning crawled into the bed, as uncaring about the fact that her shoes were on as Riku was that his jeans were rolled up on one side and bloody. She rolled over onto her side beside him and snuggled against his shoulder, her one arm wrapping over his stomach as she held onto him. He was what she had now, so she was going to cling to him. It was that simple.
Riku turned over a little so he could wrap his arm over Lightning's side, the other hand coming up to cup the back of her head. That arm cradled her neck, Riku's fingers weaving in Lightning's dirty hair. He held her close as he closed his eyes, taking in nothing but her body being close to his. This was what he wanted for the rest of his life...but would he get that chance?

Lightning blinked her heavy eyes before she let them fall completely shut. She just wanted to fall asleep and wake up in a world wehere Serah was still alive. It wasn't going to happen, but that was her desire all the same. She exhaled a breath into Riku lightly, allowing his warmth to surround and smother her as she drifted into a deep, dreamy sleep.

Destiny Islands

Roxas stood amongst the crowd of people gathered in the center of town, his eyes hard as he watched the young woman standing on a platform tell them of their faults. They had led a rebellion--he, Namine, Aqua, and Terra--since the world changed to look like that of Valhalla. However, it backfired. Once this person, Lindzei, found out, she started issuing a gathering here in the square. And by the vibe Roxas got, this was going to get ugly.

Namine stood beside Roxas, holding his hand so she wouldn't lose him in the crowd. Terra and Aqua were standing elsewhere so that they wouldn't be suspicious. The citizens of the Island knew who was responsible for the rebellion, but Lindzei didn't. That was why it was better for the two couples to be separated in public. She looked up at the stage in silence, wondering what was going to happen now that the rebellion failed.

Lindzei, having taken on the appearance of a beautiful brunette, looked over the crowd of rebels with sharp green eyes. "All of you have rebelled against the orders of Valhalla," she called upon them, not needing any technology to project her voice; the square was quiet enough for everyone to hear her. "And for that, you will suffer the worst of consequences... Neverending torture."

Roxas tightened his grasp on Namine's hand at the news, many gasps spreading throughout the crowd at the announcement. This Lindzei...Who was she? And what happened to make Valhalla come here? He wasn't sure what she meant by neverending torture, but it made him nervous.

Namine bit down on her lip nervously, looking around the area. Everyone else was as terrified as she was, though she had a pillar of strength beside her. She knew that Roxas was far from perfect, but having him around still made her feel safer than she would have felt otherwise. But...what was going to happen? Were they all going to face unending torture now?

Linzei heard the gasps of fear, and she only smiled wickedly. "As perceived, you have not taken this lightly," she announced. "Fitting. However, if those of you who are aware of who leads your rebellion speak up, you will be spared. The ones responsible for this nuisance will experience the consequences of their actions." Lindzei looked around, hearing small murmurs among the people. "Please, come forth and share your knowledge. Rebellion on such a level will not be taken lightly. If you fail to do as directed, your fates will be decided for you."

Aqua tensed at the newest order, turning her head slightly to look just a few rows down, where Terra stood. They had to split up as to not seem suspicious, but now she wasn't sure if it would matter. Lindzei was asking for the people to expose them, and she wasn't sure if they would do it. But...by the hesitation, she was beginning to think they would stick by her and her friends.
