Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning didn't hear the voice calling to her from another reality. In this place, it was as if that reality didn't exist. Her memories were a bit hazy, but she recalled that she was on a long adventure and finally arrived at home. She witnessed Serah's marriage to a man who she finally approved of and lived her life working whatever hours she wanted for the military. She had never been happier...or so she told herself.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed when Lightning didn't respond, not in the least. It was like she couldn't hear him. He moved a little, sitting up. But not even that move disturbed her. "Lightning," he said a little more loudly, firm in tone. What was going on?

Something's missing, isn't it? Lightning wondered. She pondered it for a minute, then scoffed. What could possibly be missing? She had her sister, a brother in law who was a decent guy, a brother-like figure living right next door...It was a dream come true. A dream...Why did that notion make her feel so uneasy? It wasn't like this was too good to be true. She worked hard for this! This was reality and she was going to enjoy it.
What's wrong? Why won't she answer me? Riku could only stare at Lightning in shock, not understanding. Was it something she experienced today? Did Pulse do something to her? Or was it the loss of Etro within her that made her so...deep in sleep?

Well, that settled that matter. Not that Light had too much time to dwell on it. The doorbell rang and she welcomed in her guests: Snow, Serah, and Hope. Much to her surprise and delight, Fang, Vanille, and Sazh also came in behind them. The three were on Pulse most of the time, so it was nice to have the group together again. Her family.
Riku ran his hand over Lightning's hair, wondering what was wrong. He closed his eyes and lay back down, resting his forehead against Lightning's. Help me figure out what's wrong, he asked of her. Let me see what you're dreaming... He released a small breath and tried to relax, though he doubted it would work. Something was wrong...very wrong. Riku wanted to see what was causing the Darkness...and what was keeping Lightning from waking up. But how?

A part of Lightning's subconscious connected with Riku's at his heartfelt request. They were connected by more bonds than just love. One of those bonds was the bond of the Paopu fruit, the magic fruit that was supposed to keep their destinies intertwined. And since this was a matter of grave importance, that bond was going to allow Riku inside of her dreams now.

Somehow Riku managed to fall asleep, but when he woke up, he wasn't in Gran Pulse. In fact, he was in Bodhum, something he realized upon opening his eyes and being on the beach. "Lightning?" he called, looking around in surprise...and fear. Cocoon was destroyed! Why was he back in Bodhum?! "Lightning!" He saw people looking at him funny as he started up the beach, searching for the familiar pink hair. But he paid them no mind. He had to find Lightning!

Snow was in the middle of a joke when he suddenly stopped speaking. Lightning noticed everyone else appeared somber too. "What?" she asked. What was wrong? She didn't sense something off in the air like everyone else, and normally she was the first to notice. Apparently it wasn't that big of a deal though, because Snow lightly disregarded that anything was wrong and continued with his joke.

Riku figured out that the best place to check would be Lightning's home, and he ran there as fast as he could. But he couldn't help but notice the constant looks he was getting. They ranged from angry to scared, and then to confused. Of course, he couldn't see the faces of some...and those were the guards.

"Hold it!"

Riku skidded to a halt at the holler, seeing two guards stopping him. Their guns were directed at him, but why? Riku put his hands up in surrender, showing that he meant no harm. What was going on?

Lightning noticed that everyone became uneasy as the next few minutes passed. Hope kept looking to the door, Fang to the window, and Vanille down at her feet. "Alright, what's going on?" she demanded. It seemed like Serah was the only one unaffected by whatever was going on, though she couldn't figure out why that would be. When nobody answered her, she rose to her feet. Everyone else jumped up to their feet as well, as if ready to push her back down to her chair. What the heck?

"Who are you?" a guard demanded. "Where are you from?"

Where am I from? Riku wondered, lifting an eyebrow. That didn't make much sense. Can they tell I'm not from Bodhum? He looked down at his clothes, and that was when he noticed that he was dressed differently than when he was in Gran Pulse. He had on a new vest, new sneakers, and a different pair of jeans, which were tucked into his shoes. "Uh..." he said dumbly, lifting his gaze to the guards again. Their guns were still trained on him, and he smiled sheepishly...but only for a moment. It was then that he summoned his Keyblade and knocked a gun from one of the guards, then smacking each guard upside the head with the broad side of his Keyblade. Once they fell to the ground, he glanced behind him to see that only a few people caught his attacks...and they screamed. Riku rolled his eyes. "Perfect."

Lightning looked over at Serah, studying her. Her sister was also on her feet, but she wore a different expression than the others. Their expressions were darker and more anxious while hers was calm. "Serah, what is it?" she asked softly. But no response was given to her. Not verbally, anyway. Serah looked to the door, and Lightning knew that she was meant to go outside. She started towards the front door, thankful that none of her family and friends pounced on her. But they did follow her outside, where everything looked normal.
Riku summoned his Keyblade away at that moment and made a run for it, hoping no other guards would follow him. He made his way through the streets of town as fast as he could, though he did attract some attenton just from that. He nearly plowed over a mother and her child, apologizing quickly before cutting through an alley and managing to lose the guards that did follow him. But he immediately made his way toward Lightning's home, running up the small hill to get to it within a few minutes. If she wasn't there...he wasn't sure where he could find her. Maybe the Corps?

Lightning didn't bother prodding anyone for answers, seeing that they were all glaring in one direction for a good while. She would have gone to explore it, but when she stepped past Snow, he grabbed her arm and kept her in place. She didn't like this. Whatever was coming was bad, and they wouldn't even let her know what it was. She was so confused about why her friends were acting this way...
Riku slowed his jog when he reached the top of the hill...and upon seeing who was waiting for him. He was...confused, to see Snow and the gang with Lightning. But also Serah. This couldn't be real. Wherever he was, it wasn't reality.

For some reason, Lightning's heart jumped up into her throat when she saw this young man running up the hill. He didn't have any weapon on him and overall didn't appear too threatening. Here she had been expecting a group of mass murderers or something, with how her friends were acting.

"What are you doing here?" Snow asked the Keyblader, keeping his grip tight on Lightning's arm so she couldn't run to him. She didn't have memories of him; he knew that much. But Riku had the power to destroy this entire dream. Snow and the others--a part of Lightning's subconscious, were here to protect this dream and eliminate anything that could ruin this.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed as he stayed where he was, quite a few yards separating him and the group of people. The people he thought were his friends, but looked more infuriated at his presence than anything. "I'm...not sure," Riku answered slowly. He was a bit lost, and this definitely wasn't helping his case.

"You should go," Vanille declared, uneasy and angry at the same time. The Riku that was here was different then the rest of them were. He wasn't a part of Lightning's subconscious. There was a reason even Lightning's subconscious didn't create him in her ideal reality. She knew that even a fake Riku would pull her back to reality. And now that the real one was here...it wasn't good.

Riku remembered this girl, the one who just spoke. Vanille, someone in the past who attacked him and Lightning, trying to kill the latter under Hades's control. "No," he said, taking a step forward. "I think I should stay." Whatever was going on here, Riku didn't like it. Not a bit. Especially at the way Lightning was looking at him--like she knew him, but didn't remember him.

"That wasn't one of the choices, wise guy," Fang said, tone sharp as she glared at Riku. She stepped up in front of Snow and Lightning, though the latter was giving her a severely confused look because of how she was acting. "Get out." Riku didn't belong here. Lightning was perfectly happy here, and he was going to change it. That wasn't going to happen while Fang and the others had a say in it.

Riku's eyes narrowed slightly, sensing the implied threat behind Fang's words. "...You guys," he said, looking at all of them. "What's going on?" He took a step forward, lifting a hand to his chest. "It's me... It's Riku." Don't you remember?

Lightning blinked at the name. Riku. The name alone made her feel so overwhelmed that she wanted to throw up. So many emotions yet no memories of him! She tugged her own arm in Snow's hand only to realize that he wasn't going to let her go. Riku wasn't threatening any of them...why was he holding onto her with so much force? Why did he look so angry?
Riku took another step forward, though he thought he caught multiple people tense at the movement. But his eyes were locked on the person being held next to Snow. "Lightning..." he said softly, eyes soft with her. "It's me...Don't you remember me?" How could she forget? They had been a part of each other's lives for so long, been through so much together. They were bound together by a star-shaped fruit. How could she not remember who he was?

Snow thought he heard Lightning begin to speak, but he interrupted her as he glared at Riku. "How dare you speak to her?" he growled defensively, tightening his grip on Lightning's arm so that he actually caused her pain. "She doesn't know you. And she's not meant to. So leave." If Lightning got a grasp on the truth, this whole world would crumble apart.
