Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku tensed at the words, but he noticed a slip in Snow's declaration. "Not meant to," he repeated slowly, taking another daring step forward. "How is she not meant to know me, Snow?" Riku knew him...so why wouldn't he know Lightning? "Fang, Vanille? Sazh, Hope?" Riku's eyes moved to the one who seemed neutral in this whole thing. "Serah?"

Serah only shook her head softly, looking over at Lightning as she tried to tug her arm out of Snow's again. It wasn't her place to say anything right now. As badly as she wished she could reveal the truth to Lightning, this was something that she needed to discover on her own. For now, Serah had no voice of input.

Riku's eyes softened in hurt, not understanding why nobody recognized him. Someone brainwashed them...corrupted their memories somehow. He knew everyone! Why didn't they know him? "Claire," Riku tried again, looking at his beloved with pained eyes. Please...it's me.

Lightning looked over at Riku sharply, forgetting about Snow's painful grip on her arm because of that name. Claire. "How do you know that name?" she finally said, eyes locked onto Riku. She was trying desperately to recognize him. Even she, the person who always listened to head logic rather than the feelings of the heart, knew that she was connected to Riku somehow.
"You told me," Riku said, relieved to hear Lightning speak to him. She let him use that name whenever he wanted, though it was mostly in declarations of love. But...did he trigger something? Was her real name some kind of loophole in this whole thing?

Lightning shook her head, taking a small step backward. "No," she said. "I didn't. I never met you..." She never met him, but she did know him somehow. How did he know her though? She had seen a lot of things in the world, but the fact that somebody she never met before knew her so well was a bit...alarming.
Riku blinked, grunting softly at the words. "Yes you did," he stated gently, taking another step forward. He was much closer than when he started, and he was sure that someone would stop him if he moved any closer. But he didn't care... Lightning didn't remember him! It wasn't okay! He lifted his hand to his vest and pulled at the necklace he had worn for years now. "Look." Riku held the lightning bolt necklace up for her to see, sure that even she could see it from where she was...and that was only about ten feet.

Lightning's eyes widened instantly. Of course she knew the necklace that Riku was holding up. She bought that when she was fifteen and changed her name. She hadn't taken it off since that day. So how did he...? She lifted a hand to her chest, feeling around for the necklace. But it wasn't there... Her blue eyes darted back up to Riku in surprise, resting on his eyes instead of the necklace as recognition slowly began to set in. I do know you...
Riku met Lightning's eyes, seeing some realization in her gaze. "You gave this to me," he said, glancing at the necklace before finding her again. "...You told me to keep it so you're always with me. Don't you remember?" It was before Cocoon fell...but it was still here. She wouldn't believe him if he mentioned that.

"Shut up!" Snow yelled at Riku. None of them could have Lightning remembering anything. It would ruin it all! He couldn't very well contradict what Riku said though. But...if he and his friends could keep Riku silent, maybe they had a chance. He looked over at Fang, seeing her spear in her hand. Even if she was quite a distance away from Riku, the threat was clear.

Riku jumped slightly at the holler, briefly forgetting anyone else was even there. He started to put the necklace back on, though his eyes never left Fang's spear. Once the necklace was tucked back into his vest, Riku held his hand out, summoning his Keyblade. "I see words aren't going to work with you guys," he said lowly, bringing his Keyblade up into his stance. "I don't want to fight... I just want to talk." But if he had to go on the defensive, he would.

No... Lightning looked over at Fang, seeing her run over towards Riku. "Stop!" she cried suddenly. But Fang didn't even flinch at the cry. Snow, on the other hand, did more than flinch. He wrenched her arm backward, making her cry out shortly in pain as he began to pull her backwards towards the house. Riku couldn't be hurt by Fang! Riku was...
But clearly you aren't going to listen, Riku thought, continuing silently with his last words. Once Fang came at him, he successfully blocked her attack, and then another, and then another. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Snow urging Lightning toward the house. Fight back! he encouraged her. Lightning, don't let them do this! Riku lifted his Keyblade just in time to block another attack by Fang's spear, grunting at the woman's strength. At this rate...would he ever get to the one he loved?

Riku was the one who she loved! Riku was everything to Lightning! No words could describe how important he was in her life and how dear he was to her. He was her north star, always leading her to the truth. To the truth... Lightning felt something else click in her mind, the young woman twisting around in Snow's arm. She took a hold of him and used her own strength to flip the large man over her. He landed on the ground with a thud, successfully capturing the attention of everyone here with her. She wanted to know why they were trying to keep her from her loved one, immediately.
Riku created a shield around himself just as Fang swung at him, and so she bounced back from the force of her attack. He noticed that everyone else was still, and he turned his head sharply to see what was going on. Snow was on the floor...and Lightning... Riku stood upright, Keyblade at his side as he looked at her. Something was different.

Lightning looked over at Riku, clear recognition in her eyes. She recalled everything about him now. How they first met and she was going through a rough patch with the Darkness. How he fell in love with her and she fell in love with him in return. She pushed him away so often, yet he always managed to bring her back to him now. And that was what he was doing here now. He was here to bring her back to him, because... "This is a dream," she realized, looking around at everyone as they all gazed at her with fearful eyes. This wasn't reality. It was a fantasy.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed at that words, confused for a moment. However, it made sense. Serah was alive here...and everyone was acting differently than they normally would have. Cocoon was gone. It could only exist in a dream. But...why was he in a dream? How did he even get here?

Lightning heard Snow mutter under his breath. "Oh, now you've done it," he said lowly. She looked over at him when he spoke, but her line of vision quickly changed when she felt a fist impact her jaw. A rough grunt left her lips as she fell down onto her side, eyes momentarily shut before she looked up at Snow in shock.

"If this was a dream, you wouldn't have felt pain there, would you?!" Snow roared down at Lightning. He was a bit disappointed he didn't knock her out, but he wouldn't attack her while she was down. Serah was here...

Riku grunted at the slug, his eyes wide before narrowing in hatred. He used his Dark powers to teleport in front of Snow, instantly swinging his Keyblade when he was in front of the man. A loud roar left him as he sent the larger man flying with the attack, his eyes holding nothing but fury as he watched Snow land roughly on the ground not too far off. "Touch her again, and you're dead," Riku hissed lowly, standing in front of Lightning protectively. Snow wouldn't ever touch her like that again.

Lightning watched what was happening with wide eyes, seeing that everyone else was having a similar reaction. Only Serah appeared unaware of the chaos. Or maybe she was more aware of it than anyone else. As Lightning rose to her feet, she looked up and realized that she and Riku were both being surrounded like an enemy. A small breath left her as she stood back to back with him, seeing Hope and Sazh staring menacingly at her while Serah stood in the background and just stared into Lightning's eyes to give her strength.
Riku felt Lightning's back against his own, watching Snow rise to his feet. "...Lightning," he said to her softly. "You have to wake up." If she didn't, they would be in huge trouble here. And right now, the last thing he wanted to do was attack friends. He just got through to Lightning, and while that whole process alone was disorienting, he doubted he could take much more of this craziness.

Lightning glanced at Riku over her shoulder, knowing that he was right. But... "I don't know if I can." This was a dream--a fantasy. Her heart's greatest desire. It was Caius's old spell that put her into this deep slumber where even pain existed. How could she just will herself out of it? And what about Riku? Would he come with her if she did wake up?
Riku held his Keyblade in front of him with both hands on the hilt. "This dream will lead you nowhere," he told Lightning lowly. "You can't let it control you." This would be just about it considering what happened in the dream. The sky never changed, Serah hardly even spoke here, and her friends... They were hostile. It would get ugly and stay that way. "You control this, Light."

Lightning shut her eyes briefly. This was her dream. Her creation. It was up to her to get it under control and end this nightmare. If she didn't, the consequences were going to be severe for her and Riku. It was possible they'd even get stuck here. "Okay," she said quietly to Riku. That was something she'd at least try to do.
Riku glanced over his shoulder at the woman he loved. "I'll be with you the whole way," he told her gently. Here...and in reality. He was still next to her back in Gran Pulse's Valhalla. And that was where he would be when they got out of this dream-turned-nightmare.
