Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"She was happy here, Riku!" Snow roared from his spot across from the young man. "You should have let her stay here!" He didn't notice Lightning wince behind Riku, affected by the words. Of course she was happy here, being surrounded by her family. But...But this wasn't right. This wasn't real.

Riku frowned, eyes narrowing. "Maybe so," he acknowledged lowly. "But she's safest with me. Happiness can be restored, and I won't stop until that truly happens." In other words, she was safest with him in the real world, and he would fight to make her truly happy. In reality.

Lightning looked past Hope and Sazh, her eyes locked onto Serah's. She was dead in reality but alive here. But...Lightning only wished that she would be staying here with her for a little while before she had to leave. "Riku," she said quietly, hearing what he had to say as she remained against his back. "...We need to get to Serah." Serah was the key.
Riku blinked, confused all of a sudden. "...What?" he asked, glancing over his shoulder at Lightning before focusing back on the three people standing in front of him. They looked ready to attack, but why hadn't they? Did Lightning control them, like he said?

"She's different than the others," Lightning said quietly as she kept her gaze on the girl. She had been from the very start. She was never harsh against Riku--in fact, she seemed to be the opposite. Why she didn't interfere with the others was unknown, but looking into Serah's eyes now, Lightning knew that she and Riku had to make it over to her.
Riku already knew that Lightning wouldn't want to attack her friends, no matter what states they were in, so he had an idea. "Give me your hand," he told her, lowering one of his hands and holding it toward her, behind him slightly. He could teleport them over to Serah, who stood quite a distance from the circle of tension.

Lightning glanced down at Riku's hand, reaching her own towards it. But looking away from her gun-slinging opponent had been a big mistake. She cried out shortly in pain when a bullet went through the hand that had been going for Riku's, several bones also broken by the speeding bullet. Ouch! Dreams aren't supposed to hurt!
The bullet that went through Lightning's hand unfortunately injured Riku as well, skimming the edge of his arm and making him wince. He ground his teeth together and knew that this was going to get messy in order for them to escape. "Cover your eyes!" Riku warned the woman he loved, already creating a spell. He twirled his Keyblade with one hand repeatedly, summoning wind and then sending it out to the three that stood in front of him. Snow, Fang, and Vanille were forced back, and Riku jumped, backflipping over Lightning and casting the same spell on Hope and Sazh. Now wasn't the the time for subtlety.

Lightning shut her eyes as Riku ordered, only opening them when a shadow passed over her. When she saw that it was him and he was fending off Hope and Sazh, she looked over her shoulder to see what kind of shape the others were in. Unfortunately, Snow had never been knocked down; he was large enough to hold his ground except for sliding a few feet. She noticed him charging an ice spell in his hand and she ran over to him, knocking his wrist to the side and making the ice spell go wide of Riku. But being in close proximity to Snow left her vulnerable. He reached out his free hand and grabbed her arm, swinging her around and sending her flying into the building. She hit the wall hard enough for some of the concrete to crack, the young woman groaning when she fell down to the ground. This wasn't going to end that easily.
Riku deflected gunshots from Sazh, twirling his Keyblade in order to deflect the bullets. Once that was done, he knew that time was limited, and that was the reason for his next spell. "Stop!" he called, stabbing his Keyblade into the air. He noticed that Hope was about to throw his weapon at Riku, and Sazh was reloading, but both were stopped from his spell. Looking over his shoulder, he could say the same for the others. Don't have much time, he told himself, sprinting to Lightning's position. This was a dream; healing her right now would be pointless, since she would be fine when she woke up. But right now, he had to get Lightning to Serah.

Lightning saw Riku about halfway to her when she saw something else from her spot on the ground. "No! Riku!" she cried, seeing the boomerang that was coming at his back. This was her nightmare, and the magic of stop spells wasn't going to stop anyone from interfering. If she left here, then this world would probably collapse. These figments of her imagination would be gone. Including Serah... She grunted when she felt a hand go around her neck and she was lifted up off the ground, her back against the building as Snow kept her up and the others all went for Riku. Riku couldn't save her from this. It was up to her to save both of them.
Riku heard the call, but it didn't alert him in time. He grunted, falling to the ground in a heap. His Keyblade slid across the ground, skidding to a halt yards from him. He reached for it, attempting to summon it back, but that was when a boot stomped heavily on his hand. Riku cried out in pain, but that was when he felt weight on his back, and then a hand on his head. Riku grunted roughly when his hair was yanked, his head being pulled back as a sharp blade was put to his throat. Fang's spear. "Lightning!" Riku cried. She had to make this stop!

Lightning looked past Snow, grunting both at the tightness of his grip on her throat and Riku's position. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to focus. Serah! she mentally screamed. Serah! Why wasn't she helping?! It was the same reason Riku couldn't save her. This was Lightning's reality, and only she could destroy it. "Get away from him!" she cried with conviction. She didn't care if they all disappeared! All she cared about was clinging to the truth, and that was Riku. At that, Fang and the others surrounding Riku began to fade away. Snow, however, wasn't so easy to get rid of.
Riku felt the weight on his back lessening, the grip on his hair gone. He turned over, eyes wide in alarm as he scooted himself back in the dirt. They were...fading away. Lightning was doing it! He turned his head, looking over at the woman he loved. "You did it!" he cried in relief. "Don't give up!" He couldn't help her... He knew that now. He was here to help Lightning realize the truth, but that was it. She had to get rid of Snow herself.

Lightning grunted, opening her eyes and glaring at Snow. Finally there was some fire back in her eyes, even if this was only a dream. This is my dream. It's my life. And I control how it ends! she told Snow in silence. His eyes widened as he heard her thoughts, and he vanished quite suddenly. As did the grip on her neck. She dropped down to the ground, fighting back a groan of pain as she caught her breath. Everyone was gone...She did it.

Riku scrambled to his feet when Lightning fell to the ground, closing the distance between them as he moved to her side. "You did it..." he said again, relieved at that fact. This mess was over...mostly. He still had to get Lightning out of here. But...would they have to go through Serah?

Light looked over at Riku, nodding faintly to him. She did it...She controlled the dream. But they were still stuck here. She looked over to her other side when she sensed movement, blinking in surprise when Serah was standing right beside her. She thought she understood then...Serah hadn't been able to come close because Lightning still partially accepted the dream reality. Her sister's role was much like Riku's. Once she accepted the truth, she accepted both people beside her.
Riku looked up at Serah, remaining in his spot on the ground next to Lightning. The sight of the youngest Farron was...confusing, emotionally. He was happy to see her, but at the same time, he knew this wasn't real. It hurt to see someone who he considered a part of his family, since in reality she was truly gone.

Light looked from Serah to Riku and back again, seeing her hold out one hand for Lightning and another for Riku. Serah was another type of truth--a gateway of sorts. She would take them back to reality. Light held out a hand for Riku to take--the non-injured one. They'd return together. ...And, just for that moment, they'd be a threesome again.
Riku silently lifted a hand to grasp Lightning's, securing his hold on it before he looked up at Serah. She seemed so...content with how things were. Was this Serah's spirit, acting as a guide? Even if this was a dream, was Serah really here? Riku let his other hand find Serah's, his fingers curling around hers to secure his grip. What were they going to do now? Was Serah going to help them?

Light grasped Serah's hand, not feeling an ounce of pain as Serah's hand wrapped around hers in return. She looked up into her eyes, seeing only Serah. This wasn't a figment of her imagination. It was taking place in her dreams, but that didn't make this any less real. She saw Serah smile faintly while Lightning grappled at her thoughts before she was blinded by a white light and returning to reality.
Riku closed his eyes at the bright light, grunting softly in surprise, but that was when the hands holding his were gone. He sensed the light fading, and when he opened his eyes, he felt himself slowly falling. The light was now just a small projection, getting smaller as he floated down. Riku turned slowly in the air, confused as he saw a platform far below. Getting closer, he recognized the person on it. Lightning? But she wasn't physically on the platform; the stained glass made out her form, as well as rose petals, and her friends. Him included.

A young woman stood on Lightning's platform, which was also her heart. Parts of the picture were shattered because of the grief her heart was experiencing, but it was still in tact. It always would be, as long as the one who just landed on the platform was around to protect her heart. She smiled faintly to herself, turning around to look at Riku.
Riku landed smoothly on the platform, hardly making a noise. But his eyes were stuck on the person who just turned around, the young man's eyebrows furrowing in suspicion. Was this the real Serah, or the one from the dream? Was he still even in the dream? "Are you..." Are you really here, or am I in another one of Light's dreams?

Serah's small smile remained at the obvious question. "Am I really Serah?" she filled in for Riku's sake. "Maybe a part of her. You're the one who told Lightning that her loved ones lived on in her heart, right?" Riku was really wise, knowing something like that. Of course not all of Serah's spirit was locked here, just a part of her. And she was happy to live on through her brave sister and always be with her. She was dead, but not really. She felt more alive than ever before now that she was out of the worlds that possessed fallen human beings.
