Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku tensed at the movement, realizing where his hand was immediately. His thumb had pressed there before, a long time ago when he was desperate to save Lightning. He lowered his gaze to the woman, not sure what to do. "...No," he managed. He couldn't do that to her again. It wasn't right.

"Please," Lightning managed, remaining where she was so she didn't move Riku's hand. She was requesting this from him. The last time that he did this, they weren't even in a relationship. She was living in fear and he was forced to knock her out in order to get her out of a dangerous situation. This time, things were very different. She hoped that would convince him to do this.
Riku released a small breath at the plea, closing his eyes for a moment. He didn't like this. It just seemed...wrong. "Are you sure?" he asked quietly, opening his eyes to look at the woman he loved. He didn't like the idea of knocking her out, but...she was desperate to escape, and he wanted her to be at peace for a little while. Was this really the only option left?

Light hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. She knew that moment of hesitation wasn't going to help her case, but if she couldn't be honest with Riku, who could she be honest with? She set a hand on his waist, eyes remaining shut. Was he going to do it? Or was he still unwilling?
Riku fought the urge to sigh, knowing it wouldn't be good on his part. He didn't like this at all, but this was what Lightning wanted... He could deny her the chance to leave reality for a while, but that would only make her suffer more. That was the last thing he wanted. Riku leaned his head forward and pressed a kiss to Lightning's head again. "Love you," he whispered against her skin. He hoped she knew that, and that was why he was going to follow through with her plea.

Light nodded softly, Riku's response answering her questions. So, he was going to follow through, then. "I love you too," she declared softly, wrapping her arm over his waist a little more so that it wouldn't slip off when she lost consciousness. She tensed in his hold, bracing for this. She didn't like this at all. Her posture screamed how much she didn't like this situation. But...what other choice was there?
Riku waited a moment, feeling Lightning's body tense in preparation. He hated this...he really did. But...he felt it was their only choice. Riku pressed his thumb into Lightning's pressure point in silence, knowing it would knock her out in only a second. And then she would finally be able to sleep in peace.

"Tch," Lightning winced, feeling Riku press his thumb hard against the pressure point to ensure that he'd knock her out. And he succeeded. Her body melted into his as her world faded to black. The anxiety and stress of staying awake faded away as well, leaving her in a place where she knew nothing but silence. She was, finally, away from the heart-wrenching despair.
Riku felt Lightning go unconscious, and he immediately wrapped his arm around her and pulled her closer. He pressed his lips to her hair again, holding the position for a while in the darkness. He wished he could make things better...but there was nothing he could do right now. Nothing at all.

The next day

Not everyone slept in late, but Lightning and Riku did. By the time they came out to the living room, the others looked like they had been there for a while. The worst part of it was that the air was still extremely tense. Kairi kept on looking over at Lightning and Riku, probably blaming them for this mess, and Sora was just looking at the ground. She didn't bother speaking to either of them, even when she was curled up on the couch and leaning against Riku's side. They were his closest friends, so if something needed to be said, he needed to say it.

Noel walked back to the house, managing to help the others get rid of some of Pulse's guards. Yes, the others. He ran into them when he went to get supplies for the rest of the group, and the meeting was by chance. Noel, having never met them, didn't know if he could trust them. But the fact that they were fighting against the guards was enough to let him know they were on his and his friends' side. It helped that they had Keyblades, like Sora and Riku. Noel approached the house and opened the door, attracting some eyes before he stopped in the doorway. "I think I found a few of your friends," he said to the Keybladers. He stepped aside and allowed the blond couple in first, seeing the other two follow suit.

Sora looked up from the ground, grunting in surprise when he saw four of his other friends. He didn't know what to say, so he just looked at them in wonder. All of them appeared alright. But...it was only the four of them. No Ven or Xion. He was certain they didn't die though; nobody looked extremely depressed like they were at the loss of Serah.
Kairi gasped in shock, and relief. "Namine!" she cried, tears instantly welling in her eyes. She moved from the couch and quickly approached the girl who was like her sister, embracing her tightly. She was so scared something happened to her and her friends back on the Islands. Kairi and Sora had left before any real destruction could have been done.

Sora witnessed Namine hug Kairi back in the same manner the redhead was hugging her, though his eyes went to Roxas as he rose to his feet. "What happened?" he asked. "What are you guys doing here?" Not that he wasn't happy to see them; he was. But Pulse said there was another god terrorizing Destiny Islands, so he hadn't expected to see his friends for a while.
Roxas looked from Namine and Kairi to his Somebody, eyes hard. "A goddess by the name Lindzei nearly cursed all of us when she found out about our rebellion," he explained with a small nod. "We managed to stop her with help from the others, but...not without some losses." Some of the Islands' civilians died protecting their home, but their deaths weren't for nothing. Roxas would make sure of that.

Lightning remained against Riku's side, though her eyes went from Roxas to Terra and Aqua. "Ven?" she asked. Ven was her half-brother, so of course she was concerned about him. But the fact that they hardly had any time together due to Xehanort made Lightning realize that he was only a brother by blood. His real family was Terra and Aqua, and hers was Serah. It had been a few days ago anyway.
Roxas shook his head before Aqua could speak, knowing without looking that the woman looked afraid for Ven's sake. "Not anybody close to us," he told them. As for other residents, he couldn't say the same. Even children were lost. "But we managed to get things under control so we could take off and find you guys. It was hard, considering all worlds look alike now, but we did it." They found Noel, which was luck, but they would take it.

Sora nodded slightly, noticing Lightning look down at the ground in silence. He didn't want to get inside Lightning's head right now. He had his own things to worry about. Riku may have tried to assure him that the Keyblade only chose Riku because he was Terra's successor, but Sora still had doubts. Not that Kairi asked him about it. She seemed too wrapped up in whatever was eating away at her.
Aqua looked around the room and saw how everyone was distanced from one another. It didn't help that the tension was high in the room. "...So, what happened with you guys?" she asked softly, aware that she wasn't the only one who was probably curious. Sora and Kairi took off to go look for Riku and Lightning when things got weird, but after that, nothing.

Sora glanced over at Riku and Lightning before looking towards the ground. "I don't think it's my place to say," he said quietly. This was mostly about Riku and Lightning. After all, they (along with Snow and Noel) were the ones most affected by Serah's passing.
Riku looked over at Sora, briefly catching his eye before his friend looked away. It was then that Riku glanced at Lightning, who was still remaining quiet. "Unfortunately for us," he started lowly, turning to look at his friends near the door, "we lost someone on our side." Serah... Innocent Serah.

Lightning turned her face away from the others, seeing Snow leaning against the wall. He hadn't spoken to her since yesterday's blowout. She wasn't sure if that was good or bad. But...at least he wasn't trying to kill her. That was a good sign, maybe. He wouldn't look at her either though. That hurt, but she accepted it. She had no choice but to face reality.
Riku saw the confused expressions his friends wore, which caused him to run a hand through his short hair. He really had to say it? "...Serah," he announced lowly. They lost Serah to all of this mess. He risked a glance up, noticing Aqua wearing a sad expression now, while Roxas stared at the floor. It wasn't close to okay, what happened to Serah. But would revenge do her death any good?

Namine felt tears well up in her eyes instantly. Serah. Light's sister? ...Well that explained why the girl was curled up to Riku and looking the other way. In any other case, she would have been completely focused on the battle and perhaps a little distant from Riku. But Serah...She was Namine's friend too. She met the girl a few times when she lived with Lightning. She was so sweet...she didn't deserve death... Tears leaked down from her eyes, trailing down her cheeks as silence hung in the room.
Snow was stupid enough to look up and see the others' faces, which triggered his glance Lightning's way. How could she be such a dunce? She sent her sister to her death! Snow was trying to protect her! Serah didn't need to be involved! He saw Riku wrap his arm around Lightning and bring her closer, but just that bit of contact made Snow close his eyes and lower his head. He kept his position against the wall, farthest away from Lightning out of everyone in the room. He preferred it that way.
