Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Light looked away from Snow, having caught the fury in his gaze. Of course he would direct it towards her. It was her fault that all this happened. All her fault. She lowered her gaze to Riku's legs, feeling in a way that his arm was meant to keep her against his side instead of leaving like she wanted to do. Even if she did leave, there was nowhere to go, so she stayed put.
Aqua opened her closed eyes, her hands lowering from where they had rested over her heart. She had sent a silent prayer to Serah, wishing her peace. The young woman looked to Lightning and Snow, though neither met her gaze. "I'm sorry for your loss," she voiced quietly. These people didn't deserve a tragedy, not on top of everything else. Especially when it involved someone so innocent.

Lightning didn't bother responding in any way. Aqua didn't know her well enough to know that she absolutely despised those words, but Riku would know that was why she didn't nod back. It took a lot of strength not to turn around and yell at Aqua for saying something stupid like that. So she just stayed where she was, again. That was the best she could do right now.

Snow's eyebrows furrowed as he finally looked up at Aqua, glaring at her with fury. "Don't say that," he practically growled. "Especially to her." He clearly made a gesture over at Lightning with a flick of his eyes. "She's the one who sent her sister to the grave anyway."

Aqua blinked, not sure how to react as she looked between Snow and Lightning. Was that...true? She knew that Snow and Serah were spouses, but he wouldn't openly blame Serah's sister for this if it weren't true, would he? She wasn't sure what to say, or do, since it seemed her condolences were rejected just now.

Lightning looked over at Snow, staying silent. What could she say? Snow was right. If Light hadn't "blessed" Serah with Etro's power, then she'd still be alive right now. She'd be here in Valhalla with them, but that was better than wherever she was now. Now Lightning was stuck here, feeling many gazes on her even if she kept her eyes on Serah's distraught lover.

"Snow," Riku said in warning. Now wasn't the time to bring this up. They couldn't get back into this argument when they still had a lot to handle anyway. If he wanted to unleash his fury, it would have to wait.

Snow stood upright, stepping away from the wall. "What, Keyblade Master?" he mocked. "You gonna strike me down? You have the power to release hearts, right? You failed to do it with Caius, but with me..." He put a thumb to his chest. "At least I'll be with Serah."

"So you're saying you want to die?" Noel asked, crossing his arms. "Another death won't help any of us deal with this mess. Suck it up, Snow. Serah would tell you the same thing." He couldn't believe Snow was giving up so easily! Noel's eyes widened when he saw something flying at him, and he ducked. Instead of hitting him in the face, the vase Snow had thrown shattered against the wall.

"Don't tell me what Serah would do!" Snow roared, hands curled into tight fists at his sides. "You don't know her! And you never will! Not like I did..."

Lightning suddenly rose to her feet. If Snow was going to get violent, then he was going to take it out on her and nobody else. She walked halfway across the room, standing between Noel and Snow as her eyes remained on the latter. He was furious; she got that. He channeled his grief into fury like Lightning would have in the past. She wished she could do that now, but the sorrow was too great this time. She gazed at Snow, eyes conveying her message. Take it out on me.

Snow saw what Lightning was trying to tell him, and he took a challenging step forward. "What, you want some?!" he bellowed, glaring at her. He knew she did, but it seemed things weren't going to get that way today.

"Stop it!" Kairi yelled, moving across the room and standing in front of Snow defiantly. She was scared of him when he was so angry, but...she couldn't let this happen. He was threatening to hurt her friends...Riku's lover...and Serah's sister. "That's enough!"

Snow looked down at the girl who dared to get in his way, hissing through his teeth as he breathed. "And what are you gonna do, Princess?" he said in mockery. "You can't even defend yourself."

Kairi's eyes widened at the insult, but she only furrowed her eyebrows more deeply. She stood her ground, not daring to move. Not unless Snow made her. That's enough.

Lightning was stunned when Kairi got in the way of Snow. Just yesterday, Kairi blamed Lightning for all of this happening. She didn't blame Light for Serah's death, but she blamed her for ruining her time of happiness. That was why she hadn't expected Kairi would ever stand up for her. "Get away from him, Kairi," Light said quietly, speaking to the redhead for the first time since Kairi's ranting yesterday and doing it for the girl's protection. Snow could hurt her...
Kairi glanced behind her, but only briefly; taking her eyes off Snow probably wasn't the best idea. "No," she said, glaring up at Snow. "I won't let him hurt you." Serah wouldn't want this, Riku wouldn't want this, and neither did Kairi. Despite what Kairi said yesterday, Lightning was still her friend, and Kairi protected her friends with all she had. It was just who she was. If Snow couldn't handle that, she would accept the consequences.

"Kairi," Sora called more firmly, hearing Lightning echo that name and tone. He didn't want her standing close to Snow; he just threw a vase at Noel's head, for Pete's sake. And besides, this wasn't Kairi's battle. It was Lightning's, and that was how the latter felt right now. Granted, Sora didn't believe that Lightning deserved Snow's rage. But he knew now wasn't the time to say that.

Kairi jumped at the blend of voices, surprised by them. She glanced over her shoulder at Sora and Lightning, confused. What was she doing wrong? She was just trying to help...

"Kairi!"

The redhead turned at the call, even though it wasn't Snow who yelled at her. The urgency in the tone was enough to set her off, and that was when she saw a fist coming at her. But Kairi didn't have time to react. The next thing she knew, she was on the floor, her head hitting the floor from the tackle.

Riku kept his arms around Kairi, his body acting as a shield over her as he looked at Snow. What was the matter with him?! He should have known better than to swing at Kairi! "Damn you, Snow!" he cursed. Kairi wasn't the problem here!

Lightning quickly closed the distance, seeing Snow looming over Riku and Kairi. He wasn't going to get the chance to hurt either of them again. She rammed Snow with her shoulder while she took a spot between Riku and Kairi protectively. Snow was completely out of line. How could he just swing at a random person like that?! "...Serah would hate you for that," she finally said, voice low as she stared at Snow. Serah would hate Snow for taking a swing at Kairi like that.
Snow had hit his head against the wall when Lightning rammed into him, but he recovered in time to glare down at her. "Get off me, Lightning," he growled. She should have been cautious with how close she was, but apparently she didn't take that into account.

Lightning moved back slightly, keeping a hand against Snow's chest to keep him against the wall as she looked up at him. She wasn't going to get off of him, not until Riku got Kairi further away. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Sora rushing over at Snow. Thank goodness he didn't have a weapon in his hand. Lightning put up her arm to halt Sora from getting closer, the brunet running into that extended arm and stopping. "Don't encourage him," she told Sora quietly. She knew he wanted revenge for the sake of Kairi, but he couldn't get that today.
Kairi was helped to her feet by Riku, who silently directed her toward the rest of the group on the other side of the room. She didn't understand... Why would Snow swing at her when she was just defending Lightning? A little shaken up, Kairi realized that was probably why he did try to attack her. Snow was furious with Lightning, and therefore despised anyone who stuck up for her.

Lightning gently pressed back against Sora's chest, conveying a silent message. Go be with your wife. After a few seconds, the brunet took the hint and slowly started to walk away. But while all this was happening, Lightning never took her eyes off of Snow. If he was furious enough to swing at Kairi, there was no telling what else he would do.

Riku briefly glanced at Sora, but then his eyes went back to Lightning and Snow. He stayed close, just in case Snow decided to get more violent. "Snow," he said, attracting the man's attention. "Maybe you should go." At least for a walk. He doubted Snow would calm down if Lightning was pinning him against the wall.

Snow's expression of fury remained as he looked from Riku to Lightning. He wanted to get away from Lightning, but...it just wouldn't happen. Not until Pulse had her in his clutches. "Fine," he hissed through his teeth. He looked back over at Riku again, but then he made his move. His speed had increased lately, and with that, he knocked Lightning's arm away before turning her around and pulling her to his chest, a gun now in his free hand as he held her still. "But I'm not going alone."

Sora was certain that he heard a grunt from every person in the room. "Snow!" he hollered in outrage. He was completely insane! What reason did he have for holding Lightning at gunpoint? If he wanted her dead, then he could have just shot her now. He looked at Snow from his spot, his expression showing more fury than Lightning's confused one. Obviously she realized the position she was in, but she was clueless about why she was in that spot as well.

Snow kept the gun pointed at Lightning's head, his expression not changing at the holler from Sora. "Pulse wants her, and he's going to get her," he said. He saw Riku making a move toward him, and he pushed the gun to Lightning's temple. "Not another move!" Riku stopped in his tracks, even if he wasn't happy about it. Snow was, which was all that mattered. "He promised me Serah in exchange for Lightning, and damn it, I'm not missing that chance!"

Kairi shook her head slightly, tears in her eyes--both in fear and disbelief. Why was Snow doing this? Serah was gone... He had to learn to accept that.

Lightning shut her eyes at the words. So, Pulse promised Serah back to Snow. "There's no need for the gun," she said softly enough that only Snow could hear her. "I'll go willingly." Whatever happened... She'd do this for Snow. He had to see for himself that Pulse was lying to him, not just take their word for it. He was beyond reasoning with right now.
Riku's eyes hardened. "Lightning," he said, tone firm. She couldn't be serious... Snow was leading her to her death. Pulse was going to kill her the first chance he got. Riku wasn't going to let her leave, not without him.

Lightning opened her eyes and saw Riku nearby. Apparently he had heard her, since his eyes were hard and scolding her. She remained silent, feeling the barrel of the gun against her temple. There were no options here. Snow wasn't some rookie who was going to allow her to break free of this position. Going along with it was their only option.
Riku noticed Lightning's surprised expression. How did she not expect him to hear that? His ears guided him a majority of the time when he was in Darkness; they picked up on everything. He shook his head slightly at her, not wanting to let her go. He wouldn't let her be taken to Pulse.

Lightning noticed Riku's nervousness and fear, but she couldn't respond to it right now. Maybe a part of her did give up on living when Serah died. Maybe that was why she was mostly calm except for when she looked into Riku's eyes. And the worst part was, she couldn't tear her eyes off of his. Seeing his fear made her feel afraid as well.
