Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Sad, isn't it?" Pulse said, unfolding the knife so that it was opened up. "Just a minute ago, you were willing to murder her for your wife. Do you think it makes you a better person now to fight for her just because you'll end up losing in this scenario? You're still fighting selfishly to fulfill your need to be a hero." But he wouldn't be Lightning's hero today. He placed the tip of the knife against Lightning's neck, seeing it dig in just enough to draw a little bit of blood.

"This wasn't about being a hero," Snow said, keeping his place on the ground. He couldn't move, not when the blade was right on Lightning's neck. One wrong move and Pulse would slit her throat. "This was about getting back what was mine, but you took advantage of my desire. For that, you'll pay, even if I die trying to make sure of it." At this point, who was he to live on? Snow lost his only love in the world, and now he was responsible for Lightning's own demise. This wasn't who he wanted to be or how he wanted to live his life. Redemption wasn't possible after this.

"And she'll die while you do," Pulse stated with a smirk, noticing Lightning's faint wince at the pain. While Snow "died trying", Lightning would perish as well. That was his own fault though, for bringing her and even laying her at Pulse's feet. Such desperation, and all for nothing. It only echoed his thoughts about humans. They were pathetic.

"Not on my watch!" Riku hollered from his place just inside the room. From here, he could see what was happening; Snow on the ground, and Lightning beneath a small blade handled by Pulse. It was a dangerous position, but Riku wasn't going to stand around and let Pulse do this! Not to his Claire! "Let her go, Pulse!" The god was outnumbered. Riku had all of his friends with him, even Kairi and Namine. Nobody was going to sit around and let this happen to Lightning.

Pulse looked past Snow, seeing the others gathered behind him with their weapons in grasp. He laughed, keeping the knife where it was as glee shone in his cold eyes. "You're in no position to order me around," he said specifically to Riku. "Besides, I revealed the truth to you the other day. You cannot save her." Surely Riku didn't see this situation coming; he had thought Pulse was only referring to saving her in a spiritual and personal sense. Yet he had this planned all along. He looked forward to it as soon as he saw the weaknesses in everyone's hearts.

"Maybe not alone," Kairi said, taking a small step forward as she held her Keyblade in her grasp. "But he's got us. That's what makes a difference." Kairi may have been defenseless to Snow and some of her other friends, but she wasn't going to sit on the sidelines and let Riku's lover, who was also her friend, get hurt in such a way. Snow neither. While the older man seemed both relieved and nervous at their presence, he was quiet, and Kairi found that to be a smart move. His loud mouth wouldn't do him any good here.

"Clearly not," Pulse snickered, driving the knife only a little deeper into Lightning's neck. It wasn't near fatal, but a little more blood trickled down her neck. "I'd lower your weapons now. You wouldn't want me to cut any deeper, would you?" He didn't care if everyone had weapons or not, because they didn't stand a chance either way. But he absolutely loved having everyone in the palm of his hand.

Riku gritted his teeth, not sure what to do. The first question that popped into his head was, What would Sora do? As sad as it was, since he figured he was stronger than he was before, Riku still looked up to his younger best friend in situations like this. He always seemed to know what the right thing to do was. "...Say we do what you want. What will you do then?" he asked lowly. He had a feeling Pulse would still try to hurt Lightning, maybe even kill her. Riku didn't want that, ever.

"To be honest, I'm going to kill her anyway," Pulse said, looking down at Lightning. He ignored the pain that was showing in her expression, certain that she wouldn't be waking up easily from Snow's blow. Even pain wouldn't snap her out of this. He looked back up at her companions, wondering what they'd do. If they came for him now, he'd just kill her quickly and then go for them.

Snow rose to his feet slowly, glaring at the god who was near his sister. "So you kill her. You kill us," he said, referring to him and Lightning, and even the people behind him. "What purpose does that serve? If we don't stop you, someone else will." Other warriors existed; they didn't need Keyblades or powers in order to stop someone like Pulse. They just needed the will.

While Snow spoke, Riku took this as an opportune moment to speak with Sora. "We need a plan," he murmured. And they needed one quickly. This was not going to be easy, not when the knife was at Lightning's throat. They had to think of something, and quickly.

"Doubtful," Pulse laughed. As if anyone could defeat him so easily. He knew how humans worked, how they thought, and how they felt. As long as he utilized that knowledge, he would win.

"Agreed," Sora said lowly, keeping his eyes on Pulse and Lightning. Normally Sora was the one to come up with ideas, but without anyone being able to sneak behind Pulse, he had no ideas. If only they hadn't all run in at once, then Pulse wouldn't have noticed a member of the group missing.

"I know what you're thinking," Snow said, frowning as he looked from Lightning to Pulse. "We're weak, broken easily. That much was proven to me with Serah." He brought a fist to his heart, shaking his head. "But that's where you're wrong. We're more than just humans."

"...Teleport?" Riku muttered, glancing over at Sora before looking back at Snow and Pulse. He could teleport behind Pulse and apprehend him, but it would have to be swift. Pulse couldn't be fooled too easily.

Lightning figured Snow was probably buying time for some of the other people in the room, though she didn't understand the sudden change of heart. She'd accept it though, and the distraction he provided with Pulse. She felt Pulse lift the knife slightly and she struck. At least her reflexes weren't slowed too much. She lifted her hands and wrapped them around Pulse's wrist, pushing it away from her. But he was returning the pressure quickly when he realized that she was awake. She grunted, the knife inching closer and closer to her throat again as she tried to keep him at bay. She couldn't die this way...
Snow jumped when Lightning suddenly moved, hearing multiple grunts behind him in surprise as well. But what really shocked him was the boomerang that came down from one of the balconies in the large room. It swung around, heading straight for Pulse's hand with the knife. And with that boomerang, Snow knew who else was here. Hope.

Lightning grunted as well when Pulse was forced to release the knife, the girl only realizing then that Pulse had been twirling some of her hair in his finger when he was knocked back so that he was sitting down. The girl rolled over onto her stomach and then onto her knees, the knife in one hand as she lifted two fingers to her neck. She was bleeding, but she was alright. Who saved her though? She feared she was still suffering with hallucinations or something, because there was no way he could be here...
The boomerang came back around to its wielder, twirling until he caught it with ease. The young man put one hand on the balcony and jumped down, falling to the first floor and rolling once along the ground to his feet. He stood upright, taking a few small steps forward. "Looks like I've still got the hang of it," he said, voice low with maturity and wisdom. Hope turned to look at the others, hearing Kairi call his name. He nodded once, knowing he would have smiled otherwise, but the situation was too dire for it. Right now, they all had a god to take down.

Pulse picked himself up, backing away from Lightning and Hope as the former pushed herself up to her knees. "Well, this was unexpected," he murmured, examining the scene. Perhaps if he fled for the day, he could incorporate this new character into his game. As things stood now, Pulse really wasn't sure what to do. He lost his hostage after all.

Hope glanced over at Pulse, his boomerang remaining in his grasp. "Don't even think about it," he ordered. To flee was on Pulse's mind, that much was obvious. He backed away, a sign of escaping. "You're outnumbered, and if you run away, we'll catch up." He should have known that by now.

Pulse snickered. "That would be an accurate threat, if I were human. You think you have a chance against a god?" He could laugh at that foolish notion. But there was no time to laugh, because he suddenly saw a knife flying at him. He quickly moved to the side, feeling the knife skim his arm before it pierced the wall a foot or two behind him. He couldn't believe Lightning was conscious for one thing, but fighting? "What are you doing?" he hissed at her. "You should have no will to fight!" Her sister was gone, and she believed it was her fault. How could she be acting like this? ...Maybe he didn't understand humans so well after all.

"Like I said," Snow reminded the god. He put a hand on his hip, smirking at Pulse's obvious disbelief. "We're not just humans." They were superhuman, with a stronger will than Pulse knew. Even if they made mistakes, they tried to right their wrongs. Snow would try, but even if he didn't succeed, he wanted Pulse dead...and Bhunivelze. But that last one would have to wait.

Lightning looked over at Snow with a very confused expression while Pulse grappled with his words. Where was this coming from? Snow led her up here so that she would die, and now he was Mr. Optimism again? What on earth did she miss in her unconsciousness? It didn't seem like she was out too long...
As badly as Riku wanted to scold Snow for trying to redeem himself, he knew this wasn't the time. They were short on time, actually, and that was why Riku made up his own mind, creating a plan himself. "Teleport," he decided, speaking lowly. Out of the corner of his eye he caught Kairi look over at him, but he was already focusing on his power. He disappeared from his place with his friends, instead appearing right behind Pulse. Riku grabbed the god's shoulder and cried out, piercing Pulse in the back and straight through the heart.

Namine gasped, hearing others have similar reactions when Riku disappeared and reappeared right behind Pulse. Clearly the god was surprised by it, given his expression. Was it really...that simple? For being a god, he died pretty easily.

"What?" Pulse grunted, looking down and seeing the sword that went through him. He...could feel his life draining already. He was a god! A god serving the most powerful god Bhunivelze! And yet a stab to the heart was going to be his demise? ...He supposed he and humans weren't so different after all. They both had fatal weaknesses.

Riku ground his teeth together, grunting as he roughly pulled his Keyblade out of Pulse's chest. He released his shoulder as well, glaring at the back of the man's head. He hadn't been positive as to whether that would work or not, but he would take what he could get. The heart always was the solution.

Pulse sank down to his knees, seeing in front of him that Lightning now was on her feet. This was ironic. She was supposed to be the fallen one, but here he was, starting to fade away. Yet even as he was dying, he smiled darkly. "It's impressive you got to me," he said lowly. "But if you think this means you stand a chance against Bhunivelze, you're mistaken. He's ten times as sadistic as I am..." He'd have fun working with his pawns. He'd bring about their demise.
