Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Now Hope understood why Riku punched Snow earlier, for "nearly killing" his girlfriend. It made perfect sense now. Hope's glare turned to Snow as he walked over to the man, standing only a few feet away. If he got too close...he was sure he would unleash his fury much like Riku did. "Snow," he said, catching the man's attention. His friend looked up at him, pain in his eyes. But Hope wouldn't sympathize. "You have a lot of explaining to do. Get to it."

Snow was slightly surprised by Hope's forward behavior, but he supposed the guy learned from the best--Lightning. He looked away from his friend's piercing gaze, realizing that everyone was looking at him in nearly the same way. He scratched his cheek, not sure where to begin. He guessed it was best to start where Pulse got into his head. "...Pulse told me that if I gave him Lightning, he would let me have Serah," he revealed lowly. That was obvious; everyone knew that already. "But he lied. As soon as I did what he told me to, he told me the truth. He tricked me into deceiving my family and putting them at risk, but I was too selfish to realize that in the beginning."

Lightning fought the urge to roll her eyes. Of course Pulse tricked him. How could he ever be stupid enough to believe in his promise in the first place? He always was impulsive, but if he had a gun on him, clearly he put some thought into this. She kept her eyes on him just like everyone else did, hoping he had more to say than that. Right now, he was awfully pathetic.
"I was wrong. I admit that," Snow said, looking at everyone around him. His eyes lingered on Lightning, though, seeing the hate in her eyes. He knew it wasn't misplaced. "Especially when I found out you weren't to blame for Serah's death, Light. That was Bhunivelze." He saw Riku's eyes narrow in suspicion, but Snow wasn't lying about this bit. Pulse told him this himself.

Light's anger faded, confusion and surprise also residing in her heart. "What?" she asked softly. That was...completely impossible. Serah had Etro's eyes because Lightning passed on Etro's power to her. She died because of her last vision. Of course it was Lightning's fault. How could she believe otherwise now?

Snow looked away, staring down at his hands. "Pulse told me that Bhunivelze cursed anyone who followed Etro with the visions," he explained, referring to Etro's Eyes. "Even if you did give Serah some power, it wasn't what killed her. Bhunivelze's curse did." And that made him want to kill the god more than anything. He couldn't wait for the moment he got his hands on the guy.

Lightning felt like she could collapse. Maybe it was relief that caused her weak knees, because she actually believed Snow. He definitely believed he was speaking the truth, and Lightning learned to trust him. He was misguided sometimes, maybe, but...not this time. She exhaled a shaky breath, lifting a hand to her face. Serah didn't...I didn't...

Riku lifted a hand to Lightning's shoulder, squeezing it. Her relief was obvious to everyone in the room, but now wasn't a time to completely relax. He looked to Snow, who actually met his eyes. "You know apologies won't fix this," he told him. "Redemption is nearly impossible because of what you've done."

"I know," Snow said with a small nod, rising to his feet. "I'll accept the consequences. I already know that a lot of you want to say how disappointed Serah would be for what I've done. Knowing that is bad enough. Whatever else you have, I'll take it." Exclusion, alienation, whatever. Snow realized how wrong he was, and as pathetic as he looked, he didn't care. He would take what he got.

Lightning stepped out from underneath Riku's hand after a few moments, both her hands by her sides as she walked over to Snow and stopped right in front of him. She wasn't thinking of him as a threat now; she saw him for what he really was. Heartbroken, but resolved to do what he could to stop Bhunivelze. But he also looked defeated, and she hated that expression even if she wore it as well. She was such a hypocrite.
Snow only stared at Lightning, looking down at her. He tightened his hands into fists, expecting a punch. She had dealt so many in the past for his stupidity, and he wouldn't be surprised if she did it now. Whatever she wanted to do to him, he would take it. He knew he deserved the worst.

Lightning curled her hand into a fist, eyes hard on Snow's as she glared at him. Yet after a few moments, she softened. She lifted her fist and lightly punched it against his chest before letting it (along with her gaze) rest there. "Idiot," she said softly. "You know what we learned in the past. Even in the face of treachery, family doesn't turn its back on each other." Fang turned against them before, but they brought her back. It looked like Snow needed a reminder of that.
Snow looked down at Lightning for a moment, and once her words sunk in, he closed his eyes. His eyebrows furrowed. He expected the worst, but...Lightning was treating him like he was still family. That impacted him more than she probably knew.

"Idiot," Lightning repeated quietly again, gently pulling back her fist and then placing it there again with the same light force she did before. "Should have known you'd be dumb enough to think I'd hate you for wanting her back." She understood. She wanted Serah back, and a part of her was willing to die if that could actually happen. Obviously Snow had been willing in his grief and anger. But that wasn't the true him. Snow, when he was sane, would never throw away her life. She trusted he wouldn't make that mistake again.
Snow opened his eyes to gaze at the woman in front of him. "I'm sorry," he apologized quietly, ignoring the other people in the room. He truly was sorry for his behavior. He was an idiot, like Lightning said twice already. He shouldn't have done what he did.

Lightning pressed her fist harder into Snow's chest, her eyes resting on that even if she felt his eyes and several more on her. "You go forgetting that lesson again and I'll have to beat it into you more firmly." She shut her eyes briefly before looking up and meeting Snow's, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Got it, Hero?" In other words...she'd always be there to bring him back. They were family even if he was an idiot.
Snow caught that faint smile, and he returned it. He nodded, lifting a hand to rest on Lightning's shoulder. "Yeah...got it," he said softly. The fact that she called him "Hero" was enough to make him smile, since it was a small joke between the two of them. But...he knew Light used it to show some affection as well, and that was what made him feel better.

Light's small smile grew. "Good," she said quietly. She supposed that settled that issue. Sort of. Riku would still hate Snow for a little while because of everything, and so would Hope. As for her...she'd try to put it behind her. She knew despair drove a person to do crazy things.
Hope watched the interaction in front of him, but after Lightning spoke, he and Riku shared a look. Neither of them could believe that Lightning forgave Snow so easily and seemed to be putting it behind her. Hope understood a little better than Riku did, though, since Hope had been around Snow and Lightning for a long time when they were l'cie. It was a difficult, complicated relationship, but they somehow made it work. They were family, and while Hope understood that much, he still would be unhappy with Snow. Lightning was like a sister to him, and Snow a brother. The fact that Snow nearly killed her wasn't comforting in the least.

Lightning was sure that Hope and Riku didn't understand in the slightest why she forgave him, but it didn't matter. Things were different when she was guilty for Serah's death. She wanted to pay for it and Snow wanted to deal out that punishment as Serah's husband. When it came down to it...she wasn't sure he would have really killed her. He probably would have protested at the last minute. There was no way to know for sure except to ask. "...Would you have really done it?" she asked seriously, speaking quietly so the others couldn't hear. Would you have really killed me?

Snow's grip on Lightning's shoulder tightened slightly, the man squeezing it. "Honestly..." he started, quiet just as Lightning was. "...No." He could never actually kill Lightning. When he was sane, he loved her like family. She was family, and always would be. He couldn't lose another member.

Light nodded faintly. "You're going to have a harder time convincing everyone else of that," she stated softly. She could see the bruise that Riku's punch left, and she wasn't nice enough to heal it. Snow was a complete idiot, so he was going to face some of the consequences. But she wouldn't take him out of her life. He needed her now, just like she needed him.

Snow lowered his hand from Lightning's shoulder, diverting his gaze. "...Right," he agreed softly. He knew that, but hearing her say it made him feel worse. He wasn't sure what he could do to convince the others, but...he would have to try. He would protect Lightning, the opposite of what he had done lately. Hopefully that would help his case.

Lightning knew the words made Snow feel discouraged, but she wasn't going to try to take that feeling away. He did deserve that, after all. She took her fist away from his chest and started back over to Riku, eyes serious again. Snow did betray her, but he was still family. She wasn't going to let him drown in despair because he lost both a wife and a sister.
Riku kept his position, arms crossed as he stood near one of the couches. He looked from Lightning to Snow and then back again, confused and a little aggravated. He wouldn't get on Lightning about Snow right now, since they clearly had some things about Bhunivelze to sort out. Like how they were going to take him out, for instance. It needed to happen as soon as possible, to save the worlds.

Namine noticed Riku's expression showed a little bit of anger, and hers did too. Lightning forgave Snow too easily in the blonde's opinion. But she'd let it slide, since this wasn't her fight. Her gaze went to the brunet who was sitting on the couch, her eyes showing concern at how he was staring down at the floor. "You're awfully quiet, Sora," she said quietly. He looked...sad, too. The fact that he only briefly glanced up at her and hummed shortly in response wasn't too encouraging.
Roxas was sitting next to Sora on the couch, and he turned his head to look at him. He hadn't noticed before, but now that Namine pointed it out, he could see that she was right. What was wrong? "That's not like you," Roxas said softly, tilting his head as he looked at his best friend. Sora was almost never quiet, and never sad either. What was going on?
