Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Snow wasn't the only one who was stubborn; Lightning was too. Especially when it came to her sister. "No," she said in direct opposition to Hope. "Can't you see? It's Serah. She looks the same, and Riku says she has the same scent. Serah's..." Serah's here, and I'm not about to take even one step away from her. I did that before and she disappeared from my life forever. Despite how Serah kept fingering the knife casually, she wasn't about to think her sister would hurt her with it.

"Light," Riku called, frowning as he glanced between her and Lumina. "Listen to him." The Darkness was still swirling around them. Something wasn't right here...but what? He smelled Darkness, but he also smelled Serah. The combination made him feel uneasy.

Kairi looked around them when a particularly large wisp of Darkness flew in front of her face, but then she felt one ghost against her arm. Even so, it stung her, making her yelp in fright. And then another touched her leg. What was this?! Why were they swarming her?

Lightning shook her head again. She would have verbalized that she wasn't going to step away from Serah, but Kairi's yelp interrupted. She turned halfway, alarmed at the activity of the chaos. Something was going on here, and it was making Serah act differently. She had the memories of Serah but not the kindness. But it was still Serah of course. She wouldn't believe otherwise. While she was stuck on thinking of Serah, she watched Sora whack at some chaos in alarm when it went for Kairi. Something really is wrong here...

It's my Light, Kairi realized, stepping back when another came at her. She backed into Noel, who put his hands on her shoulders to steady her. These things are attacking me because of my Light. But who was controlling it? Was it Lumina, or somebody else?

Riku blinked when another wisp of Darkness went for Kairi, and he sent a weak Dark Aura spell at it to fend it off. He then looked to Lumina, eyes hard. "Are you doing this?!" he demanded, wanting answers. The person in their group with the strongest Light was being attacked by Darkness. That wasn't exactly subtle.

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," Lumina said playfully, speaking while Lightning scolded Riku for using that tone of voice with her. So, the soldier was still convinced that she was Serah? Well, she was wrong. It should have been clear with the attitude. Well, she would see soon enough that Lumina just wanted to manipulate them and this world. It would be how she found her fulfillment in this world without death. She watched with a glint in her eye, seeing a few whisps of darkness go for Kairi's Nobody because of her Light. This was already so fun, even if she wasn't responsible.

Riku glared at Lightning briefly at the scolding, but then his eyes darted to Roxas when he hit a stream of chaos away with a Keyblade. "This is getting out of hand," he said, seeing that he wasn't the only one who agreed. Kairi grunted at a particularly sharp sting, and he knew that Lightning or Aqua were next. It was only a matter of time. "Lightning, get away from her. Now!"

Roxas swatted another bit of chaos away with Oblivion, lifting the weapon as he stood in front of Naminé to try and deflect another that aimed for her chest. Kairi meanwhile suffered another sharp hit to the leg. Lumina had to be doing this. Who else could have been the culprit?

"Riku," Lightning cried firmly and desperately at the same time. She couldn't step away from Serah and he knew it! He saw how deeply she grieved for her sister. Granted, Serah's existence was warped now. Something was manipulating her towards Darkness. But that wasn't going to improve if Serah left her life again! Therefore, she wouldn't take a step away. She wouldn't let Serah out of her life... Because she faced Riku with her latest outburst, her back was to Lumina. It was an opportunity the girl with the knife couldn't resist. The knife plunged into Lightning's lower back, making her eyes widen. W-what...?

Lumina imagined Lighting's expression to be one of pain that was connected to emotion as much as physical. "Fitting, isn't it?" she mused lowly in Lightning's ear. "That I would stab you with this..." It was too perfect.

Along with Riku and Hope, Snow took a step forward in alarm. That wasn't Serah. The woman he loved would never, ever hurt her sister in such a way. He ran toward his sister-in-law, only to be knocked away by a swarm of chaos. He cried out, landing roughly on his back a few yards away from the group. "What the--?!"

"Eagerness is a weakness of yours," someone called from above. His presence floated in the atmosphere before all of the lingering chaos swarmed into a specific spot in the area. It built up until it took height of a man with tall stature, and then melted away to reveal the man Riku and Lightning had thought dead. Oh, how wrong they were.

Noel grunted in alarm, eyes widening. "Caius?!" he cried. No way... He was supposed to be dead!

What...? Lightning found herself thinking again. If it wasn't for the pain in her back, she would have assumed once again that this was a mass hallucination. But it was all too real. "Caius...?" she growled, wincing when the girl behind her twisted the knife deeper into her skin. She hissed in pain, her first instinct to lash out at the person who stabbed her. But it was Serah! She would never hurt Serah, not even with a whack to the hand.

"No sudden moves, Lightning," Caius called, his purple hair blowing faintly in the a gentle breeze. "Dearest Lumina won't hesitate to paralyze you. I, of course, wouldn't object, but your fate lies in her hands." And that was exactly where Caius and Lumina wanted it.

"I don't want to break my toy too early on," Lumina said lightly to Caius, her dearest friend. While the knife was dangerously close to Lightning's spinal cord, she didn't plan on paralyzing her today. It would devastate all of her loved ones, but to put Lightning out of action so early in the game would be a crime.

Lightning gritted her teeth at the ongoing conversation, and the chaos still heading towards certain friends. "What did you do to her?" she asked in a dangerously vicious tone. Caius was responsible for Serah's state! And he was going to pay for it...This time, she would make sure that when he died, he would stay dead.

"Who's to say I'm responsible? Perhaps Bhunivelze is to blame," Caius revealed, a dark smirk on his lips. Of course, they didn't know his secret just yet. But when he revealed it, their faces would be priceless. He couldn't wait for it.

"Then tell us where he is so we can end him," Lightning said in the same tone. The knife was still in her back, and she could feel the blood leaking out of her. It dripped onto the ground and onto the back of her leg, but her focus was in a completely different area. When Lumina laughed, she had a hard time controlling her sudden shiver.

"You're looking at him!" Lumina said gleefully. Caius Ballad wasn't just Caius anymore. Once he held the heart of Etro, but now he held the heart of Bhunivelze. He was a god once again, all powerful and undefeatable.

Noel's eyes widened. "No..." he hissed. No, that couldn't be true! He looked to Caius only to see his deadly smirk. The man's--no, the god's--laughter filled the air, sending shivers up nearly everyone's spines. "Caius!"

Caius only continued to laugh, starting toward his comrade. He stood closest to Lumina, wisely keeping his distance from Lightning, not that she could do much with Serah's knife in her back. "Noel, don't act so surprised," he said. "I housed the heart of the goddess, and now I house the heart of a god. Did you really not predict this future?"

"This is what you saw," Lightning thought aloud, talking to Lumina--Serah. Serah died seeing a vision of the future, and this was it. Just thinking that Serah died to a vision like that made her blood boil. "Caius!!" she roared, summoning a blade to her hand and beginning to swing it at him where he stood. But suddenly, she felt a new kind of pain. Her sword dropped from her hand as she fell to her knees, the knife remaining in her back as it was even closer to her spinal cord. Just for a moment, she felt it touch a nerve. If Lumina pressed any harder...the damage would have been permanent.

Lumina looked down at Lightning, seeing that she caused the wound to worsen with her latest movement. "I told you I didn't want to break you too early on," she said, sad only for her own reasons. "But if you try to attack Caius again, I won't hesitate to bend down and wedge the knife in further. Got it, sis?"

"What do you want?!" Riku cried, taking a step forward just then. Panic rested in his aquamarine eyes, the young man desperate for Lightning to be at his side. She was in the hands of an enemy, not a friend. Serah wasn't with them. The scent was the same, but the heart of the person before them was not. Serah was gone. Lumina--a monster--took her place.

Caius smirked. "You have not learned much from your sufferings if you must ask such a question," he answered, taking a step toward Lightning. He knelt down next to her, lifting a hand to run along her jawline. "The Goddess's guardian, such a strong warrior in the past, belongs to a fate that only I can control. Should she suffer, or shall you all play directly into my hands?" They already had, this entire time.

Lightning's instinct was to turn away from the hand that lightly stroked her jaw, but instead, she glared at Caius in defiance. "Do what you want with me," she said lowly, fighting the haziness of blood-loss as she stared directly into Caius's eyes. "But you let my sister go." She heard Lumina grunt in amusement, but Lightning didn't look back at her. Her focus was on Caius, the man who surely held Serah prisoner somehow in this mess.

"The sister you loved is long gone, Claire," Caius lowly taunted, aware the name was a touchy subject. He met her eyes that were ablaze with hatred, but he only continued to trace her jaw, then fingering her pink hair. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Lightning's lover move at the action. Caius only wanted to laugh. "Now she takes on a new identity. Lumina, an enemy of your kind. She welcomes the power of Chaos, and that of the heart I carry." He then looked to his partner in crime, the same glint resting in her eyes that lingered in his. "She manipulates the Darkness to her will, using it against the likeness of your kind. Your Light is weak, if your heart holds any at all." He set a hand on Lumina's shoulder, then rising to his feet. "Dearest Lumina, reveal what truly lies in the depths of Lightning's heart." Darkness. Nothing but Darkness, or so they wanted her to think.

"Gladly, dear Caius," Lumina said playfully, looking down and seeing that Lightning was having a hard time not fainting now with the blood loss. "...But not today. My toy is broken enough as it is. I'll let her lover fix her up and answer that question next time we meet." She knew that Caius wouldn't question her judgment. While she wasn't Serah, she knew key facts about Lightning. Lightning was a fool who always fell down, picked herself up, and then wound up falling again. Well Lumina would spread the pain around. She would wait for her to rise again, and then she would knock her down deeper into the pit than she ever fell before.

Riku took another step forward. Yes, let her go, he internally begged. All of the blood made him sick; not because of the sight of blood, since he had grown accustomed to that over the years. But it was Lightning's blood, his Claire's suffering standing out against the grey pavement. He had to help her. His heart yearned to care to her.

"Very observant of you, Lumina," Caius praised with a dark smile. "Release her. We shall continue this once our warrior gathers her strength once again." The day would come, and with Riku catering to Lightning's every need, it would be shortly.

Lumina looked down at Lightning's back from where she stood, seeing the knife still stabbed into her body. As much as I would love to take it as a souvenir...As much as I want to rip it out of her back and cause her more pain... She wanted Riku to cause Lightning the pain more by yanking out that knife. She reached over and gripped Caius's hand, nodding faintly to say that she was ready to go. "Bye, friends."

Noel grunted when Caius allowed the Chaos to swallow him and Lumina, the two of them disappearing within seconds. "Caius!" he cried in fury. He wouldn't get away with this! Not a chance!

As soon as Caius and Lumina disappeared, Riku sprinted to Lightning's position. He stopped next to her, ignoring the fact that he was kneeling in some of her blood. "Claire," he said without thought, worry heavily laced into his voice. The knife lingered in her back, encouraging more blood to leave her body. Riku didn't know what to do. If it stayed in, it would cause more blood loss. But if he took it out, he would hurt her more.

Lightning fought the urge to fall forward into Riku's arms, knowing he couldn't remain there for long. There was something that he needed to do. She kept her eyes low on the ground so he wouldn't see the pain in them, or the haziness that threatened to take her under. "Do it..." she said quietly. "...Slowly..." It was the worst thing she could ask him to do. She knew he would want to take it out quick and patch her up right away, but he had to inch it out carefully because of how close it was to her spinal cord. If he wasn't careful, it could paralyze her...

"...But...Lightning..." Riku said, hesitant. He knew what Light wanted him to do. Of course he did. Even if Riku was strong both physically and mentally, emotionally he was a wreck right now. The woman he loved was nearly paralyzed, in the hands of an enemy, and dealing with heavy blood loss. How was he supposed to be calm about any of this?

Lightning felt the blood rising up in her mouth, and she swallowed the disgusting taste instead of spitting it out in front of her. It was getting worse...She knew that if it wasn't pulled out soon, she was going to lose consciousness from the blood loss. And even when it was pulled out, she would probably faint from pain--even if her pain tolerance was high. "If you don't...soon..." she said, labored in speech. She leaned forward a little more, swaying. She couldn't hold out much longer here...
