Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"O-okay, okay," Riku said, moving to get behind Lightning. He hardly ever stuttered, and when he did, everyone knew he was failing to keep it together. But with Lightning in this bad of shape, what was he supposed to do? Loving her softened his heart, and so it hurt whenever she did. It was just how love worked.

Hope ran over to kneel in front of Lightning, grasping one of her hands as Riku placed a hand on her shoulder. His other hand, Hope was sure, was moving to touch the knife. Riku had to be extremely careful here. One wrong move and Lightning would be paralyzed.

Lightning lifted one of her hands, grasping the front of Hope's shirt tightly with her free hand. She didn't know how old he was now; there was an obvious difference in his appearance from when she saw him last. Nevertheless, he was going to face this problem with Riku. "...I'm going to pass out," she warned both of them quietly. Somewhere in this process, she was going to lose it. If she fell forward into Hope while Riku had a hand on the knife, it could affect how he tugged on it. This was dangerous business...She had to try to hold on as long as possible.

Riku's eyes sharpened in alarm, and he looked to Hope. "Hold her," he instructed firmly, seeing Hope follow through. He moved closer to Lightning and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, keeping his grasp on her hand as he brought her closer. Once she was leaning into him, Hope looked to Riku, who held the knife securely. I'm sorry, Light, he silently apologized. He then slowly started to pull out the knife, keeping a grip on Lightning to keep her steady.

A sound of pain left Lightning's lips, the young woman pressing her lips against Hope's shoulder to smother any other sounds as the knife was extracted. Even if Hope did have a firm hold on her, she wasn't planning on letting go of consciousness more easily. This operation was best performed if she was awake. "S-s-sorry," she managed to stutter into Hope's shoulder. The apology was directed not only at Hope, but Riku too. They told her to back off, and if she had, this wouldn't have happened.

Riku heard Hope gently shush Lightning, but he only continued to pull the knife out. He ground his teeth together at the sight of more blood, the blade of the knife coated in it as he removed it. It would be done in a second, even if he was moving slowly. Lightning just had to hold on a bit longer.

Lightning coughed back blood, forcing herself to swallow again. She couldn't even cough freely; it would cause too much movement and make Riku possibly do something he didn't want to do. It was hard to take in her settings with how dizzy she felt and how lightheaded she was, but she was certain the rest of her friends were watching with concern. Snow, too...

"Almost...there..." Riku murmured quietly, saying it slowly as he continued to remove the knife. It was a curved blade, so it was more difficult than he originally thought. But then he saw the blade get smaller, as if to a point. Riku remained tense even after completely removing the blade, staring at it as it shone red with Light's blood. The sight nearly made him sick. "...Done," he said with a sigh. It was out.

Lightning began to cough, still fighting hard to suppress it. She heard Riku; the knife was out. And the blood kept on flowing, more fiercely than before. Okay...now I'm going to pass out, she thought, loosening her grip on Hope's shirt. She was a fighter, but this was too much. The emotions weren't helping any. It was Serah who did this, with the weapon that she gave to her...It was sick justice.

"Light?" Hope called softly, though alarm was heavy in his voice. He looked at her as she continued to lean into him, but then his eyes found Riku. The Keyblade Master took initiative and summoned the power of Healing. A giant herb appeared over Lightning's head, then disappearing as her body briefly glowed green. But it would take more than that for her to recover. Much more.

Lightning remained where she was, her body slowly calming as the healing took effect. The wound was closed; no more blood was lost. There probably wasn't even a scar on her back where the knife went in. She fought not only to stay conscious, but to control her breathing too. Somehow she managed to stay awake this long; she didn't want to pass out now.

Snow was on his feet by now, and he slowly approached his sister-in-law. But then he got a glare from Riku, which halted him immediately. Right, he was still upset with Snow for his betrayal. As if that could be forgotten so easily.

Gotta do something... Lightning lifted her hand from Hope's shirt to his shoulder, trying to sit herself up by herself. She was foolish for thinking she was capable of that after sustaining that wound, but that was who she was. Even in the arms of friends, she wouldn't take things as slowly as she needed to because she knew she worried them enough as it was.

"Easy, Light..." Hope advised, pulling back slightly when she started to move. The blood loss was bound to affect her stability. Hope didn't want her pushing it, and neither did Riku, who had his hands up in case Lightning fell backwards. Caius and Lumina weren't coming back anytime soon; they could take their time with this.

Despite where stubbornness got her last time, Lightning still elected to be stubborn and try to move. Whether Hope was aware of it or not, he was still holding one of her hands tightly. She took the one off his shoulder and wiped at her cheeks, realizing she shed some tears when Riku extracted the knife. Then she wiped at her mouth for any blood she might have coughed up. This was a mess. They couldn't just sit here...

Riku caught Snow make another move toward Lightning, and he glared at him. "Was the cold shoulder not enough for you?" he hissed. "Keep your distance." Snow's eyes instantly hardened, but Riku didn't care. He still wasn't forgiven for what he did to Lightning. The bruise on his face from Riku's fist proved it, especially since no one bothered to heal it.

"You think you're a better choice to take care of her?" Snow countered, voice firm. "You can barely hold yourself together." Riku only glared at him, and Snow sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Just...let me carry her somewhere safe. Hover all you want, but I can tell you're not completely okay yourself." Riku needed to take a breather, just this once.

Lightning shut her eyes in frustration. She didn't want anybody carrying her. She was thought of as a strong person in the group, or so she was before she had her mental breakdown with Serah's death. She wanted preserve whatever was left of that image, however wrong it was. "I'll walk..." she tried lowly, attempting to stand up. Even if she was so close to passing out still...she just had to try and be strong.

"No you're not," Riku declared, hearing Snow and Hope state it as well, all three of them speaking at the same time. Their voices blended into one of authority. Despite their differences, they could at least agree on Lightning's health. That much Riku was grateful for.

Lightning shook her head in very slight humor. All three of them speaking at once despite their differences was somehow amusing. Nevertheless, she put a hand on her knee and slowly pushed herself up. She was trembling slightly, and she assured herself it was from the blood-loss and not Serah's betrayal. She was stronger than her physical weakness, stronger than the confusion and emotions...Right?

Hope kept a hold on Lightning's hand, rising with her. He didn't let go, even when she was on her feet. But he did look over his shoulder, seeing their friends. "Everyone else okay?" he asked, having forgotten they were there until now. Kairi looked a bit shaken up, probably due to being attacked by the Chaos. Not that he blamed her.

  • Author

Namine bit down on her lip and nodded. She was fine; her few burns from the chaos were nothing compared to Lightning. She knew that Light didn't want anyone pitying her, or even viewing her as weak. But Lightning's main priority should have been getting rest, not saving her pride. The blonde looked around, eyeing the familiar landscape of Valhalla. They needed a place to rest and recover...and figure out what was going on.

"We need to find shelter," Noel said, taking a few steps farther into the square. Snow and Riku could argue over who cared for Lightning, but Noel would take initiative here. "I'll scout ahead." He would return once he found someplace suitable for all of them. He took off in a light run, knowing that Lightning wouldn't be able to stay up on her own much longer. She needed to rest, very soon.

  • Author

Terra was about to offer to scout with Noel, but the teen was gone too quickly. It wasn't good to separate in a place like this when other options were available. But now wasn't the time to put anybody down; the group was having enough issues already. They needed to focus on group unity if they were going to have a chance against Caius.

Kairi healed herself and Naminé from what burns they suffered, focusing on that. Her Cure spells weren't entirely up to par, but they did the job. But what did her Light have to do with anything? Why did Caius and Lumina have the Chaos attack her? Kairi was an innocent bystander, as usual. That was how things always seemed to go involving Darkness. I just want to go home....

Sora glanced to the side when Lightning stumbled and landed on one knee, but the vibe he got from his wife captured his attention again. He set a hand on her shoulder without a word. I know. Hopefully this'll be over soon... But he was even scared for that. Pulse warned that defeating Bhunivelze would change the timeline. What if Sora didn't marry Kairi in that timeline?

Kairi looked up at Sora, recognizing that look. He felt sympathy towards her, if he wasn't missing home himself. She noticed Snow finally take a chance at picking up Lightning and hold her bridal style out of the corner of her eye, but she was more focused on her husband. When would they be able to start their lives together? This wasn't what she had in mind...
