Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

It doesn't matter. Kairi's not happy here and now. Unless we defeat Bhunivelze, I don't know if she'll ever be happy again, Sora thought. He nodded slightly to her, taking his hand off her shoulder as he started forward. His own fate didn't matter anymore. So what if he didn't marry Kairi? Whatever the new timeline was, she would be happy in it. That was what he cared about most. I'll set things right, no matter what it costs me, as long as it makes you safe and happy.

Kairi looked after her husband for a second, confused as to why he was leaving. That was when she saw Noel waving them forward just across the square. Clearly he found a place for them all to stay. She looked at Riku when he set a hand on her back. He obviously gave up on fighting Snow over who would take Lightning; the taller man was carrying her as he marched ahead. Kairi nodded to Riku weakly before starting forward with his encouragement, ready to see what solution could be thought up to get rid of Caius and Lumina.

The place that Noel found wasn't too far away from their argument with Caius and Lumina. Whether that was good or bad, Sora didn't know. He just knew that his perspective changed radically with that one train of thought. His resolve was set. He was going to fight his absolute hardest to defeat Caius, for Kairi's future--whatever that future was. As they stepped inside, Sora looked out the window for signs of trouble. There wasn't anybody there. Like Caius and Lumina hinted, they would wait for the group to recover before striking again. Mainly Lightning. Sora wasn't extremely close to Lightning, but even he was scared for her. Especially since she was in and out of consciousness on the way to this building.

Riku was the last to enter the house, shutting the door behind him in silence. He glanced at Snow as he took Lightning toward a separate room. She would need time to recover. How much time? Riku wasn't sure. But after witnessing someone who looked like Serah stab the woman he loved, Riku needed a moment to himself as well. This was getting out of hand. They needed to come up with a plan as soon as possible. All of them would have to contribute. One mind couldn't tackle this big of a problem.

"Hope you didn't...make him...more angry," Lightning muttered to her brother-in-law as they entered a separate room. Snow sort of just reached down and scooped her up, before she could protest or Riku could grab her away from Snow. Light and Snow may have been on okay terms, but she was still aware enough at the scene to see just how much Riku disapproved of Snow.

Snow approached a small bed, lowering Lightning toward it. "Even if I did, you needed help first," he said in his defense. Snow wouldn't go into debate over who carried Lightning back; he just did it. He owed it to her and to Serah to help out. He was a monster before.

Lightning kept herself sitting upright on the bed, though it was a struggle. She kept her head lowered, knowing that her next question was going to be a touchy one. "Do you know...if Riku brought the knife back?" Obviously the knife she was referring to was the knife that Lumina stabbed her with. The one that Lightning always kept on her, because it was a gift from her precious sister. Riku didn't abandon it, did he...?

Snow blinked at the question, confused at first. "Oh...I don't know," he admitted softly. He wasn't too worried about he knife, honestly. His mind was still reeling from seeing Serah, or Lumina. Whoever, his head was a mess.

"Okay," Light nodded softly. She wouldn't ask Snow to go retrieve it, then. She would just need to be patient... She lifted a hand to her chest, grasping for a necklace that wasn't there. Of course it wasn't. She gave away her necklace a long time ago, so Riku would have a part of her. Only now did she remember that Serah gave her that necklace. She wanted it back at that moment, just so she had one possession that connected her to Serah. Other than that item and the knife, she had nothing. It was all destroyed when the worlds turned so dark.

"Lightning," Snow said softly, sighing as he sat down in the open space beside her. He gazed at one of her legs, seeing it stained in red. "...Whoever that was..." She couldn't be Serah. Snow didn't want to believe Caius changed the woman he loved. If Serah were in her right mind, she would have never lifted a knife to Lightning. Ever.

"It was Serah," Light said without looking over. "She's just...warped." Serah died after the worlds already transformed into Valhalla, right? Or maybe she died during the change...That would explain how the chaos could change her being, and why she didn't completely die. Valhalla was a world where natural death didn't occur, after all. Even if dying of a vision wasn't "natural"...My head's still spinning from blood loss. I can't think straight.

"We're gonna get her back," Snow said without hesitation. He wouldn't stop until they succeeded. He wanted his wife back, and Lightning wanted her sister back. The rest of them wanted their friend returned to them, just the way she had been before. Snow would never stop until that happened. Serah would have to be in his arms again, truly safe and her real self, before he quit.

Light finally looked over at Snow. "You know nobody else is going to agree with us." After what happened, they won't think that Lumina is Serah or that she has any potential to be Serah. So..."We might have to go against everyone, Snow." They faced the entire world before when they were l'cie, but this time, they would be facing off against friends.

"I know." Snow glanced away, frowning at the thought. But besides Lightning, the other person he was closest to was Hope. Sora and Kairi may have invited him to their wedding, and Riku was a good pal under other circumstances, but this was someone Lightning and Snow treasured most. "But you know I'll do whatever it takes to save Serah. I did it once. I can do it again."

  • Author

Lightning curled a hand into a fist. There Snow was with that arrogant hero mentality. You didn't save her alone, you know. But Snow was the last person she wanted to pick a fight with right now. "...If we snuck out right now, it'd be the last thing they'd expect," she thought aloud, keeping her voice soft in case anyone was listening in. This could have been their only chance to leave...

Snow looked up at Lightning at the suggestion. She was thinking like a soldier again, something he should have expected. "...You-know-who will be furious once he finds out," he stated. Riku would lose it if Lightning snuck out on him, but Snow was willing to take that chance. He and Lightning could save Serah. Right now, he felt they were the only ones who could.

"I know," Lightning agreed. "But...it's Serah." She would do anything to bring her sister back to her. If she got stabbed again, she wouldn't care. She set her hands on the bed, slowly starting to push herself up. Her dizziness almost made her topple back down immediately, but she stood solidly for a few seconds.

Snow watched Lightning with careful eyes. "You want to go now?" he asked lowly, surprised. She wasn't in the shape. They could at least wait a few hours, right? With Lightning so weak, he doubted they would get very far if they did get out of here.

Lightning stepped forward two steps, stopping at the windowsill. She put her hands on it, pressing tightly to keep her balance. Her back was to the door, and to Snow. "Our only chance," she said quietly. She knew Riku wouldn't stay away from her long. The only reason he wasn't with her now was because he didn't know how to face her after Lumina's attack. She hated to take advantage of that, but again, she would do anything for Serah, whether it was rational or not.

Snow rose to his feet as well, looking at Lightning for a moment. "...You're sure you can handle this?" he checked softly. He knew Lightning. She was just as stubborn as he was, and definitely just as strong. She wouldn't back out unless absolutely necessary.

Lightning passed on the wisdom she gave to Hope a long time ago. "It's not a matter of can or can't," she said without turning around. "Some things, you just do." She reached for the window lock and began to turn it to open the window. This was obviously going to be their escape route; they couldn't exactly walk out in plain sight.

Riku walked down the small hallway, running a hand through his hair. He wasn't sure what he was going to say to Lightning, but he had to do something. She couldn't take all of this on her own, and he wouldn't let her. A lover didn't leave their other half to suffer. "Hey, Light," he called, turning into the room. But that was when he stopped. He blinked in alarm when he saw her near the window, and Snow prepared to help her climb through it. "Hey!"

Lightning spun around, too quickly. She fell onto her bum with her line of sight going to the young man in the doorway. "...Fresh air," she tried. They were opening the window for fresh air. Never mind that Snow was eager to shove her out of it so that they could make a run for it...

Riku only glared at Lightning, aware that was a lie. And he was supposed to believe that? He turned his glare to Snow. "You were helping her leave!" he bellowed, instantly furious. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"Going to save my wife," Snow replied, voice loud but not deafening. Not like Riku's nearly was. "You think I'm just gonna sit here and wait for you to form a plan?! I'm getting out of here and saving Serah, with Light's help."

Riku's eyes hardened at the news, looking from Snow to Lightning repeatedly. Was that true? Was she not willing to wait for a plan? She wanted to escape them?

Lightning face-palmed. "Snow, you moron," she muttered. "If you make him angrier..." Snow shouldn't have been so brutally honest with Riku. Now the weight was heavily on her shoulders once again, along with Riku's glare. "I can explain," she said to Riku. He just needed to stay calm and listen to her. There was a slight chance that he'd understand what led her to this.
