Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning remained in that position for a long time. She had no urge to move herself onto the bed, even if a part of her wanted to pass out. All of her thoughts were swarming. Serah was alive, but by Caius's side. Snow made himself an enemy by insulting Riku and his Darkness. Lightning hurt Riku by trying to sneak off. What a vicious cycle of pain this was...Every once in a while, she tapped her forehead against the wall in anguish, but for now, she just sat there, lost.

Riku eventually cooled off, having walked around Valhalla for a while. It was risky, but he didn't care at the time. His main concern was his "infectious Darkness" and the woman he loved. She defended him to the point of taking back her blessing for her sister's marriage. It hurt to know that, because he didn't want that to be an insult toward Serah. Riku walked into the house, avoiding any eyes as he went toward the bedroom Lightning occupied. He needed to see her, even after everything.

Lightning shut her eyes, ears in tune with noise elsewhere in the house. If Noel came back one more time, she was going to have a hard time keeping her frustration in. She said that she wanted to be alone, and she meant it. Noel had a good heart and meant well, but he needed to stop poking his head in every ten minutes.

Riku noticed the door was closed, so he decided to knock. He tapped his knuckles lightly against the door, then silently peeking in. If Lightning was asleep, he'd still stick around. He didn't exactly want to face his friends after his Darkness surfaced.

Lightning lifted a hand, pinching the bridge of her nose between her fingers. "For the twentieth time, Noel, I'm fine," she said without moving. She kept her forehead to the wall, not even looking at the door. Obviously it wasn't anybody but Noel. Everyone was aware of how they could help best by staying out of the way. Snow could have helped by coming back, but he was obviously still angry at her for siding with Riku in the argument. And Riku, he was probably still out for his cool-down.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed slightly. "...It's Riku," he announced lowly, stepping further into the room upon seeing Light's position. That certainly didn't soothe any worries he had. She obviously wasn't doing well, but what could he really expect?

Light's eyes bolted open, her head snapping towards the doorway. So it was Riku. She scurried to her feet clumsily, dusting off her legs only to realize she never even wiped off the blood from Lumina's stabbing. Nevertheless... "Then...for the first time, I'm fine," she corrected, eyeing Riku. He came back sooner than she had expected. Or had more time passed than she predicted?

Riku frowned slightly, seeing Lightning's state. She was never clumsy, always graceful. And she had always been the clean one between her and Serah, but here she was, covered in her own blood. "Not quite," he replied. She may have been alright to some, but to him she was still a mess.

Lightning shook her head, starting towards Riku. She hoped he didn't notice her movements were slightly unbalanced from everything that happened. Her health wasn't her primary concern. She stopped before him, setting her hands on his sides. "Are you okay?" she asked, studying his eyes. Had his walk helped him?

"...Better," Riku replied after a second. He wasn't great, but he wasn't seething. Most importantly, his Darkness wasn't present. He lifted a hand to tuck back some of Lightning's hair, wanting to see her face completely. He thought of her the entire time he was gone, so he was sure that had the greatest effect on him calming down.

"Better is good," Light said, gently running her hands down Riku's sides. Of course she couldn't expect him to be peachy; Snow said some awful things, and Riku let them get to him. Not that she could blame him. If Snow picked on her like he had Riku, she would have flipped too. Actually, she did flip. Snow lost her blessing because of the entire thing. But that was his own fault.

"But not great," Riku said, glancing away. His hand fell to rest on Lightning's arm. What could he say to her? He was...embarrassed, to say the least. Snow humiliated him in front of her, and some of his friends. His Darkness hadn't come to the surface for a very long time. And it made itself present at the worst time.

Light lowered her gaze to Riku's chest. She couldn't disagree with him. She wished that things were better, but they weren't. She wanted to pin all of it on Snow. He was the one who picked a fight with Riku when he was already upset about Lumina. He wouldn't even apologize! But she wouldn't make that mistake. "I'm sorry," she said quietly. She was sorry Riku wasn't in good shape, and she was sorry he caught her trying to leave. She didn't know just how angry it would make him.

Riku's frown remained as he closed his eyes. "You were really going to sneak out, weren't you?" he asked at the apology. He knew what it was for. "Why couldn't you just talk to me about it? Running off with Snow wasn't a very good idea." As if Snow could actually protect Lightning. He could barely take care of himself these days.

"I was desperate...and scared," Light said quietly. "I didn't think you'd let me go. But that girl...I know it was Serah. I had to find a way to see her again, to bring her back to me." She shut her eyes, fighting back moisture. She knew it was completely foolish and nothing good would have come out of it. But it was her sister. She had to do what she could for her, despite popular opinion of the group that she should stay away.

Riku gazed at Lightning at her tone, and upon seeing her expression, he pulled her to him. He held her close, one of his hands resting on the back of her head. What was he supposed to say to that? Of course he wouldn't let her go! Lumina took down Lightning's guard last time, and she was too vulnerable right now to meet her again. Lightning was nuts to think Riku would even consider it.

Light's eyes shot open in surprise. She hadn't expected Riku to take her back so quickly after what she tried to do. But if this was what he wanted, she wouldn't protest it. Her eyes slowly flickered shut again, an arm wrapping around Riku's lower back as she stayed close to him. "I didn't mean for it to turn out this way..." she said quietly, referring to Snow. As soon as he started talking the wrong way to Riku, she switched mentalities and stood up for her boyfriend. Snow was truly an idiot.

"I know," Riku whispered. He figured she was talking about Snow now, and he wouldn't hold what the man said against Lightning. She couldn't control Snow, not that he expected her to. He didn't expect her to take the measures she did, but he did appreciate it. He at least hoped she knew that.

"I'm sorry," Lightning said pathetically. She didn't apologize often, so when she did, she meant it deeply. She was sorry for so much. Riku told her to step away from Lumina, but she didn't. He wanted her to stay in the safety of the building, but she was prepared to leave. And she wasn't able to save him from Snow's idiocy. She curled a hand around the fabric of his shirt, her other hand dangling by her side. I really, really didn't mean for it to be like this. I swear I didn't.

"I know, Light," Riku said again, insisting that she believe him. He wasn't happy with some of her decisions, sure, but what mattered was that they stuck together. Everyone had to work as a unit in order to get through this. Caius and Lumina, especially, were going to be difficult opponents. There couldn't be any issues between the group. Not anymore.

Light slowly wrapped her other arm around Riku, hiding her face in his shoulder. She was too tired to even break down in tears. Besides, she knew that after his argument with Snow, he wasn't okay. She wasn't going to increase his pain. "I love you," she said into his shoulder. "Very, very much." She hoped that he knew that.

Riku turned his head toward Lightning and placed a kiss to her pink hair. "I love you too," he said into her hair, eyes closed again. How could he not love someone so extraordinary? Any other girl who experienced Snow's wrath would have cowered away, but Lightning had Riku's back. He didn't need other people sticking up for him, but when they did, he was flattered. He made some bad choices in his life, but to know that someone loved him enough to back him up was great. He couldn't thank Lightning enough for all she did.

Lightning kept her arms around Riku, trying to absorb all of his sadness and take it on herself. Snow's insults were triggered by a situation Lightning created. She held part of the blame in her mind. So, she wanted to take on the pain of the situation so that nobody else had to. Nobody but Snow, anyway. He deserved it. Thinking about it now, he probably had bruises on both sides of his jaw now. She was glad.

Riku held Lightning for a few more moments, slowly turning his body side to side as he did. Everything was going to be alright. His friends would back him up on that, and he knew Lightning wouldn't give up. It wasn't in her nature. Even if Snow was causing problems, Riku would overcome them. So would Lightning. He would make sure she did.

"Let's sit...on the bed..." Lightning said as she loosened her hold on Riku. She didn't want to admit that she wasn't feeling good again, even if that was the case. If Riku asked for a reason, she'd tell him that she wanted to rub his back. In the embrace, she felt like she was taking too much comfort and not giving enough. She needed to give back to him, somehow.
