Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Kairi looked over at Terra in surprise. He hadn't said much the entire time they were in Valhalla, and he had a solution to their biggest problem yet? "What is it?" she asked, briefly sharing a look with Aqua, who seemed just as taken aback. Their surprise wasn't an insult toward Terra whatsoever; they just didn't expect a solution so soon.

"The chaos attacked Kairi and Namine yesterday because of the Light," Terra started. "It acted just like the Darkness would. So what if the chaos isn't that different from the Darkness?" He looked specifically to Aqua, referring to something from their past. "A long time ago, you told me that Darkness is nothing but anger and hate. If the chaos is the same, then shouldn't we be able to fight it the same way?"

Aqua blinked at the words, experiencing a realization. "...With hope," she said as she gazed at Terra. Of course... Hope was the number one thing to counter anger and hate. Why didn't they think of this before?

Terra lifted a hand, running it over his hair almost sheepishly. "It sounds corny, but...I think it might work." He looked around to the group, seeing most eyes on him. "If we hope for a different future with happiness, who's to say the chaos won't weaken? It might weaken Caius too." He hoped that was the case.

"Corny or not, I think we have our way to beat Caius," Roxas said with a small nod. Of course it wouldn't be that simple. Defeating Caius would require more than just hope. They had to take him down physically. Lumina too. "Good thinking, Terra."

Lightning thought for a few seconds. Having hope was the way to destroy Valhalla and bring back the worlds to their regular states? Somehow, it made sense, especially since she spent a year in the original Valhalla. That place did everything it could to keep people from having hope. Probably because it was afraid of the power of hope. She silently reached over and grabbed Riku's hand, knowing that hope was the key and her hope was tied to him.

Riku squeezed Lightning's hand in silence, looking around the room. Everyone came to an agreement then. They would focus on restoring this world simply by having hope. That would weaken Caius, or so Riku assumed. They could do it. "So, when do we start?"

"Now," Hope said, rising to his feet. Hope was his name, but he also held it in his heart. He never stopped. His hope was in his friends, and the possibility of restoring the worlds and this future. He glanced over at Noel, seeing him nod in agreement. It was best to start now.

"Now," Sora agreed. He leaned towards his wife, giving her a kiss on the side of the head. "Have hope in me." He was going to set this right for her. He had the strength to do it and the will now that he realized how selfish he was being. As long as all of his friends had a happy future, he would be okay. If they were happy, he was too, no matter what the future looked like specifically.

Kairi smiled weakly at the kiss, and the words. She looked over at Sora and squeezed his hand. "Have hope in me," she repeated softly. They would make this work. If they didn't, the worlds would suffer. They were the only people who could.

Namine had hope; she had for a while now. But she supposed it had been waning lately because of the tragedy of Serah and the appearance of Lumina. "Is it just enough for us to have hope?" she wondered aloud. Even a little bit of hope could change the world, but in this case, was that literal? Could their group's hope change things, or did more people need to believe in a brighter future?

"The thing with Caius is that he least expects us to have hope with such a grim present," Noel said, arms crossed as he took a few steps forward. He looked from Naminé to the others. "If we fool him by having faith, the future he thinks is set in stone will disappear. We'll have the future, the one that we want." Hope was everything in the end. That was what he realized when he traveled with Serah. She had hope, even when things were dark.

"Looking forward to it," Sora grinned, referring to the bright future that was to come. He noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Maybe that something had been there for a while without noticing it, but this was his first time truly recognizing it. He rose out of his seat and looked out the window, laughing in glee. "Guys! The sun's out!" The sun was never out in Valhalla before!

Riku's eyebrows furrowed, his eyes on the window Sora was looking out of. "...There's never been a sun in Valhalla," he revealed lowly. Not once had he seen it while in this version of any world. So...what did that mean?

  • Author

"It means that letting hope shine is already making a difference," Lightning realized aloud as she gazed at her lap. She had spent the most time in Valhalla; she knew its nature better than anything else. The sun coming out wasn't a coincidence. "Hope is literally changing the world." Of course, sunshine wasn't much compared to the state of things, but it was a start.

"Just a small group of us found the sun," Aqua stated, smiling softly. "Imagine what could happen if we got everyone on this world to have hope for the future. We could restore the world if we tried hard enough." They could do this. It was already working.

"Then let's do it," Namine said as she rose to her feet. "Let's tell everyone what we found out so they can have hope too." She was happy for the first time in a long time, as most of the group was. Finally, they found a light at the end of the tunnel--a way out of this terrible situation. The nightmare was almost over. Dawn was coming.

Riku smiled faintly, seeing how a few people chimed in their agreement. He was up for it, just as they were. They could physically take down Caius and Lumina if they weakened them with a world full of hope. The future they wanted was closer, after all this time of suffering.

Sora moved to the door, pulling it open. "You guys coming or what?" he asked with a slight smirk. The world wasn't going to find hope on its own. They would have to go spread the word, and what better time was there than right now? All of them were going to go; this was still Valhalla and separating was a dumb move.

Kairi rose to her feet and approached her husband, glancing behind her to see Roxas get up from the couch and Hope start over beside him. Finally, they found light within the darkness. She stepped outside, the air a little fresher than before, now that the sun was shining.

Lightning waited until the end, motioning for Riku to go ahead with Sora and Kairi. He had to know that she lingered for a reason. Somebody else in the room had done the same thing. "Come on, hero," she said lowly, motioning for him to follow. Whether he had hope or not, he was a part of the group. It didn't matter how infuriated she was with him or what mistake he made. He was still her family.

Snow blinked in surprise, the name causing that reaction. He briefly looked to Riku as he left, only to catch a glare in his direction. Snow looked to the ground quickly, and once Riku was out of the house, the man looked to his sister-in-law. He nodded to her briefly before he started forward to follow her out. Right. He had a part to play too.

Lightning waited until Snow was only a few steps away before she started out without a word. She wasn't going to humor him in conversation, but she wasn't going to abandon him either. The speech she gave him the other day was true: no matter what mistakes he made, family would always be there to welcome him back. But first, he had to own up to his mistake. Until he did that, she wasn't going to forgive him completely.

Riku glanced over his shoulder once he was outside to make sure Lightning was coming, and when he saw Snow with her, he turned back around. Snow wasn't his most favorite person in the world, but he was part of the group, and they could use whatever help they could get. Riku focused on where they were going, beside Sora and Kairi. They needed to find more people to encourage hope.

In the first few minutes of their walk, the group began to spread out. There was a group up towards the front, then Lightning, then Snow. Light was lagging a bit behind the group while purposely waiting for Snow to move faster and catch up to the rest of them. Instead, he just kept dragging his feet. "Snow," she scolded, looking over her shoulder at him. "Hurry up, will you? At this rate, we're all going to be separated." Just as she looked forward, a nearly translucent wall appeared right in front of her nose. She automatically jumped backwards from it, hearing another one appear between her and Snow. A wall. Why's there a wall??

Snow stopped walking when he saw the wall, and he put his hands against it. "Lightning?!" he called in alarm, also confused. His cry triggered reaction from the group ahead, a majority of them turning around to look in their direction. What was going on?

Riku's breath caught at the sight of Snow being stuck on the other side of Lightning, but why? He walked forward to see what was wrong, only to hit an invisible barrier. He lifted a hand to his head, looking up in fear. "Light..." Who did this?
