Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Roxas shook his head of hair as he walked in, then running his fingers through it to get any loose water out. He looked to Riku and Lightning, seeing at least one of them acknowledge their presence. They looked upset, not that he could blame them. Lumina was cruel.

Namine bit down on her lip, entering last as everyone else found seats. Only Roxas knew that she was inside Lumina's head while she and Light were having their confrontation. How was Lightning going to react when she heard Namine poked around "Serah's" head without Light's permission? She carefully sat herself down next to Lightning, trying to think of a way to break the news. It took her a while to piece together the truth, but she was sure she was right now.

"Any luck out there?" Riku asked another moment of silence. He hoped their work wasn't for nothing. It did stop raining after all, though there were cracks of lightning every once in a while. But they had to have convinced some people, right?

Sora looked down at his lap and shrugged. "Everyone was really quiet," he said. "I dunno if it was good quiet or not." The rain went away, so that was a good sign. They all noticed how it started down pouring when Lightning was facing Lumina, and there was no doubt that incident triggered the rain. Did Lightning improve from where she was and make the rain go away, or did the people of Radiant Garden start having hope enough to make the rain stop? None of them knew.

Roxas stood next to Naminé's position on the couch, leaning against the arm of the furniture. He had his arms crossed, and upon recognizing yet another silence, he looked to the girl he loved. He lowered one of his hands and nudged her gently. She needed to say something, about what she did. She needed to tell Lightning that she looked into Lumina's mind.

Namine looked down at her lap, curling her fingers lightly into her jeans. She knew what Roxas's nudge was for. Nervous as she was, she had to tell Lightning what she discovered. "...Light," she called softly. The girl looked over at her with eyes that Namine couldn't read. "There's something I have to tell you. That girl...Lumina...she's not Serah."

Light wasn't sure why Namine seemed so timid in saying that, but then she realized yet again what the consequences of that were. If Lumina wasn't Serah, then Serah wasn't here. She was dead. "I already know," she said quietly, setting a hand on Namine's shoulder briefly. "Serah couldn't be warped into...that."

Snow stood against a wall close to the door, one hand in his pocket. He looked up at Lightning when she said that, and he knew that they both had their suspicions. They were just proven true. Serah was truly gone.

Namine was glad Lightning didn't think Lumina was Serah; that made it more okay for Namine to go through her head. "..When she had you trapped between the barriers, I got inside her head." She lowered her gaze to her lap at Light's surprised look, continuing. "She had knowledge that only Serah would know, but I wouldn't say it was memories. It was like...snapshots. Like somebody dug through what Serah knew about you so that they could give it to Lumina. But Lumina's not her own person." She looked up at Lightning again, leading up to a question. "She wasn't just compiled of information. She's a real person, with her own memories. Caius knew her in a lifetime where the world wasn't Valhalla. He called her Yeul."

Lightninig blinked in silence. She never actually met Yeul, but she knew that was the seeress Caius wanted to destroy the world for. Thinking about it now, it was odd that Caius wouldn't be with Yeul after the end of the world. But he was with her all along, and she was disguised as Serah and given a new name. Lumina.

Noel grunted in surprise, taking a step forward. "Yeul?!" he asked in alarm. Yeul was alive? He saw her die...so many times. She had to have been resurrected through Lumina then. There was no other explanation for it!

A loud roar of thunder and the cackle of lightning shook and lit the room for a moment. Now Light understood. She looked at Noel, since he was obviously familiar with Yeul. "Yeul was reincarnated into the same body hundreds of times. I guess that she wanted a new look for a new world." Her fury was rising again, shown by another flash of lightning in the sky. Caius Ballad, how dare you mock me like this? How dare you use Serah's appearance to harbor somebody so vicious?

"As Serah," Snow finished lowly, seeing how Noel was still in shock by Yeul's resurrection. "Snap out of it, kid." He attracted Noel's attention, catching his frown. "She's not your Yeul. And she's not our Serah. Caius ruined her." His wife was gone, for good.

Light was surprised at Snow's rationality; he was suddenly full of wisdom. First he told her flat out that Lumina was lying about Light's Darkness and gave reasons for it, and then he comforted Noel. He was different than he was last night. But she would have to talk to him about that later. "Let's just end it," she muttered, rising to her feet. Just so everyone could hear her, she repeated herself. "Let's go end Caius, before he can destroy any other loved ones."

"What about hope?" Kairi asked, referring to the feeling and not the person. "Won't that weaken him?" They needed to do that before they took on Caius. He was too strong for any of them, even if they fought together. Lumina too. They were monsters, full of Darkness. They needed more Light to counter it.

Lightning looked at Kairi, blunt with her and angry at Caius. "I've done enough waiting. Whether we have hope or not, we have anger. That's worth more to me right now than hope." She saw Sora frown at the comment, but she didn't care. Her anger would give her the fuel to fight Caius until he was dead and stayed that way.

Hope was in one of the chairs in the room, gazing at Lightning. He knew she was beyond logic at this point, but.... "We can't be reckless," Hope announced to the group. "Caius is expecting our anger. We have to switch it up." But how? Not all of them were angry, so could they still use what hope they had in their hearts to gather strength?

As lightning flashed across the sky, Light smiled darkly. "Caius could never be prepared for my anger." It was too great for him to comprehend. As she started towards the door, she spoke to them. "I'm going. Who's coming with?" She knew Riku would either come or try to stop her. As for Snow, she had no clue what was going on in his head anymore.

"Lightning," Hope said, rising from his seat. "We can't just run in. We'll be asking for death." She had to realize that this wasn't the way to go about things. They had to have a plan. A logical, thought out plan.

Riku agreed with Hope, staying where he was. As much as he wanted to destroy Caius for all the trouble he caused, they couldn't do it recklessly. They would die.

Lightning looked around the room, seeing that nobody rose from their seat but Hope, and that was only to protest. "So, your minds are made up," she recognized with a nod. She opened the door, lifting her free hand and giving them a wave as she headed out. "See you after the battle." She was going to kill Caius even if she had to kill him alone. He was no match for her anger.

"Light!" Riku and Hope both called in unison. Riku rose off his seat and watched her go in shock. She couldn't be serious! She would get herself killed! He looked to Hope, and both of them shared a look before Riku went after the woman he loved, Hope hot on his tail.

Sora watched the two go, lifting a hand to his face. "I don't think they'll be able to stop her," he said, rising to his feet. This could have been leading up to the final battle. When Lightning set her mind to something, she always followed through. Riku and Hope would have to physically restrain her to get her to not go after Caius.

"I suggest we follow then," Snow said, pushing himself away from the wall. He started after his sister-in-law as well, catching Aqua rise out of the corner of his eye. Whatever plans Lumina and Caius had up their sleeves, they would have to outmatch them. Lightning wasn't giving them any other choice.

Lightning didn't hear others in the house rising and following, but she did hear Riku and Hope on her trail. They would be right behind her in a few seconds. "Are you coming to fight along my side or stop me?" she asked over her shoulder. If it was the former, they were welcome.  The latter would only make her do something she would regret: incapacitate them and go after Caius herself.

"Lightning, this is ridiculous!" Hope cried over a strike of lightning. He kept up with Riku's pace, only a few yards behind the woman. "This is exactly what Caius wants! Don't walk into his hands." She would get herself killed, and the others along with her. She had to be rational, even with all her anger.

  • Author

"That's your answer, then," Lightning said with a slight nod. They were coming to stop her. She kept walking, prolonging the inevitable fight between the three of them. Hope said this was what Caius wanted, and he was right. But he failed to mention that this was what Light wanted too. She wanted to walk right into his hands and defeat him while he was smug.

Riku's jaw locked in frustration, and he closed his eyes, summoning his Dark powers. He used them to transport himself in front of Lightning. Once he was there, he put up a shield behind him, blocking her in this area. She granted him these powers a long time ago, and now he was using them against her. However angry she would be because of that, she had to calm down and realize what she was doing. This wasn't the answer.
