Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

All the weakness, fear, and pain disappeared in that flash of light that consumed the entire world. It didn't just consume that world though; it consumed the entire universe. The worlds were restored, and time along with it. If you change the future, you change the past. That was what Noel told Lightning a long time ago. Those thoughts wouldn't immediately register with her though as she came out of her sleep one sunny morning, the young woman sleeping on the couch along with someone else on the day after an important wedding.

Riku woke up at the same time as Lightning, and he looked at her in alarm. "...Lightning?" he said softly, seeing her coming out of her sleep. He was laying down, on a couch... He turned his head, all previous pain in his body gone as he looked around the room. They were in her condo...? But why?

Lightning slowly sat up, cautious and confused. Everything was...normal. Was it all just a dream? Caius got inside her head before; she may have dreamed the entire incident. If it was a dream, she was so incredibly relieved. And if it wasn't, she was both relieved and devastated. Serah...

"Serah!"

Riku sat up quickly, his eyes going to the hall when he heard Snow's cry. But it wasn't in fear or anger; it was a cry of joy. "...Serah?" he asked, glancing at Lightning before rising to his feet. Since they were out in the living room, they couldn't see Snow grab Serah and spin her in the bedroom, but they did hear the man's laughter. Serah was alive!

Lightning scrambled out of the bed, uncaring about the sheet that hung onto her foot for a moment as she bolted towards the guest bedroom that her sister had stayed in recently. The digital clock hanging in the hallway told her the date: the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding. The day they headed to the Realm of Darkness to face Caius. History was reset along with the worlds. As she entered the room, she noticed that a life was restored with the change. "Serah!"

Serah's eyes widened when Lightning ran over to her and put her inside a tight hug. She was deeply confused. First Snow just randomly yanked her out of bed and twirled her around the room, and now Lightning was hugging her for no reason. "Lightning? What are you doing?" she asked in amusement. What was she so hyped up about?

Riku rose to his feet and hurried down the hall, meeting Hope as he walked out of Light's room. The boy was confused, as all of them were, but looking into the room, they were happy too. Riku smiled instantly, relief flooding his heart. Serah was alive...which meant the future, and the past, were reset. They defeated Caius and restored the timeline.

Serah laughed, feeling like she was trying to get two puppies to calm down. "Alright, I'm glad to see you guys too," she teased, ruffling Lightning's hair gently. "Geez. You guys missed me that much in ten hours?"

Ten hours? Serah didn't remember anything that happened! The last thing she recalled was going to bed the night before the wedding. She didn't remember her own death, or Caius taking over the world as Bhunivelze. Lightning pulled back from the embrace, smiling tearfully. "Yeah," she said. "That was the longest ten hours of my life." She looked to the doorway, wiping at her eyes while Serah shot Snow a confused yet still amused look.

Hope smiled, laughing softly even if Lightning was crying. Snow picked up Serah and squeezed her in a tight embrace, declaring his love for her. Hope was happy to see her too. He couldn't believe they did it...

Lightning dismissed herself from the lively room, saying that she was going to cook breakfast. She would live up to that promise, but she just needed a moment to compose herself too. She stood at the kitchen sink and shed tears of joy, relief overwhelming her body. Serah didn't die. Well she did, but she was alive here. And this was her Serah, not Lumina. It's all okay now. Better than okay. I can't believe it.

Riku watched Lightning go, and after a moment of admiring Serah from his place in the doorway, he left as well. He found the woman he loved in the kitchen, hearing her quiet sobs. He knew they were tears of relief, not sadness. He was relieved too. Serah was alive, the worlds were restored, and everything was well. Riku approached Lightning, placing a hand on her back. He never did like to see her tears, but tears of joy were an exception.

Light knew without even looking that Riku was the one behind her. Despite the confrontation they had in Valhalla and how she ran away from him, there was no tension in this moment. Everything worked out too well for them to think of all the negative events of Valhalla. She spun around and kissed him right on the lips as the tears kept flowing, relieved that he was alive too.

Riku's eyes closed instantly at the kiss, and he lifted his hands to Lightning's face in silence. He didn't know what the kiss was for, but he wouldn't question it. Instead, he would accept it. He felt the wetness on her cheeks and silently wiped it away with his thumbs. He had been in so much pain minutes ago, and afraid for Lightning's life, but she was fine, as was he. Riku was so grateful.

Lightning withdrew from the kiss after some long moments, her face right in front of Riku's. During the kiss, her hands wove their way around his back in an embrace. They stayed there even now with no signs of pulling back anytime soon. Valhalla wasn't just a dream--it was a nightmare that actually occurred. But it was all okay now. They were all alive and safe.

Riku didn't open his eyes once the kiss ended, instead taking in a much-needed breath. "...I'm sorry," he whispered softly. Everything that happened before the battle. He was sorry for his behavior. Lightning saved everyone, despite her recklessness. She did great.

Lightning laughed without humor. She leaned in and kissed Riku deeply, only speaking once she withdrew. "You're sorry?" She kissed him again and then pulled back an inch for air and a chance to talk. "I'm sorry." She ran into the battle before anyone could stop her. She was completely reckless and selfish. She was just glad that the recklessness paid off.

Riku smiled weakly before leaning in, kissing Lightning briefly. "Apology accepted," he said softly. They were both apologizing for the same thing. Their lives had been at risk, so they did what they thought was best. But everything was okay now. They had nothing to worry about anymore.

Lightning and Riku's kisses were interrupted by a knocking at the door. She pulled back and did what a good homeowner should do: she opened the door. Roxas and Namine were there, and not far behind them, Aqua and Terra were running up. When Namine jumped into Lightning and wrapped her in an embrace, she returned the sentiment.

Riku left the kitchen and entered the living room, seeing his friends. "...Guys," he said, happy to see them all. Naminé was safe, as were Roxas, Aqua, and Terra. Roxas nodded to him in silence, a small smile on his face. If they were here, that meant Sora and Kairi were alright as well. And given what day it was, they were on their honeymoon still, again.

When Namine released Lightning, she glomped Riku with the same kind of hug. Out of the hallway, Snow, Serah and Hope finally joined the rest of them. Serah's alive?! She was shocked, but extremely happy. Serah was next on her list of people to hug.

Riku wrapped his arms around Naminé, chuckling softly. "You okay?" he asked in amusement. He didn't know what happened to her during the battle, but she was fine physically. Mentally could be a different story. Riku couldn't be the only one confused with how quickly things changed.

"Great," Namine laughed, giving Riku a squeeze. At this moment, she was great. All the thoughts of battle and horror would come back later. For now, this was a time of celebration, not just for her, but for everyone in that room who recalled what they went through.

Roxas looked around the room, seeing everyone's happiness. For once, things were going right. He found himself standing on the beach seconds after Valhalla disappeared, and Naminé was with him. They figured out the truth together, and their happiness was shared. Their lives could get back on track. Now...Roxas could finally follow through with his proposal.

Lightning eventually withdrew from the room to make breakfast. Pancakes were simple enough to make, but she kept on needing to make more and more batter because people kept showing up at her door. Sora and Kairi flew back from their honeymoon to invade the house. Noel appeared out of nowhere, but at the same time, it seemed natural that he would wind up in their time period. While she was still in the kitchen, the door was banged on loudly by two Gran Pulsians that Lightning never thought she'd see again.

Hope took the chance to answer the door, and when he saw who was there, his eyes widened. "Fang?" he said in shock. "Vanille?!" They were....alive?!

Fang had a hand on her hip, smirking at the young man. "You've grown, kiddo," she said. He stepped forward and hugged her, to which she lightly embraced him back. She looked past him through the door to see Snow's wide smile. Clearly they had been missed.

Vanille chuckled lightly at the dumb-struck expressions of those in the house, the young woman immediately recognizing Snow and Hope. "You're from Gran Pulse, aren't you?" she asked, tilting her head as she looked at Noel Kreiss. Even if he was from the future, his clothes were clearly Pulsian.
