Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"You're the one being cheap," Serah teased, splashing right back. "Returning fire like that..." Riku should have been creative than that, but then again, Lightning often joked that Riku wasn't the most creative person she knew. Despite that, she was glad Riku loved Lightning so much. The two of them were obviously meant for each other.

Riku smirked before moving in. "Fine, have it your way!" he teased, picking her up and then falling into the waist deep water, taking her underwater with him. If she didn't want him to return fire, he'd come up with something else.

Serah had just enough time to let out an "eep" before Riku took her underwater. Fortunately he didn't hold her under long and she was able to return to the surface for air. As soon as she was up, she started laughing. Alright, Riku had her there. And it wasn't like she could do that back to him, since he was bigger and stronger than she was. You win this round, Riku. When she heard a cry to the side, she turned her head. The NORA gang just got done making food on the grill for dinner!

Riku looked over at the cry as well, and upon seeing that the food was ready, he started toward shore. He clapped Hope silently on the shoulder, earning a smile from the young man before he continued on. Riku saw Sora resting on a towel nearby, surprised he wasn't getting grub right away. His eyes searched the beach for his beloved, wondering where she was. How long ago did she disappear?

Serah arrived on the shoreline and also looked around, seeing that her husband and sister were missing. But she didn't think anything of it. She shrugged her shoulders casually as she stopped next to Riku. "Snow and Lightning probably ran to get dessert or something." Or fireworks, that was what she was hoping for. Fireworks on the beach were her favorite.

Riku looked over at Serah, and upon hearing her words, smiled softly. Yeah, she was probably right. Lightning was still independent, even with Riku around. He had to keep remembering that; she couldn't depend on him all the time, or stick to his side. She needed space. Riku placed a hand on Serah's shoulder. "Go get some grub. I'll meet you over there in a second," he said. Riku had to see what was up with Sora. He still hadn't gotten off his towel.

"Better make it quick," Serah recommended. "Everyone in NORA has large appetites." She flashed him a smile before she started over to the food tent where the others were already forming a line. Everything smelled delicious. She couldn't wait to dig into one of Gadot's world famous burgers.

Riku watched Serah go for a moment, but then he gazed at his best friend just up the beach. He started toward him, seeing that Kairi was nowhere to be found for the moment; more than likely she was with Roxas and Naminé. He stopped next to his best friend, seeing that Sora conveniently rested where the group's stuff was. Riku reached for his own towel. "I'm surprised you're not in the front of the line," he teased lightly, running the towel over his hair. Wasn't Sora hungry?

Sora looked up at Riku as he kept lying on his back. RIku was still clueless. Sora didn't want to make Riku miserable after everything wrong that already happened in Valhalla, so he smiled weakly and sat up to hide his fake smile. "I was hoping Kairi would humor my laziness and bring me food," he said sheepishly.

Riku smirked, running a hand through his hair to smooth it out. "I'm sure she will. This is technically the first day of your honeymoon, right?" he checked, making sure he got the time right. Things with Valhalla really messed with his head. "Hard to believe she's been apart from you this long." Those two were attached at the hip when they were engaged; it was going to get worse now that they were married.

  • Author

"We'll have the rest of the honeymoon to be alone," Sora said, his smile turning more genuine. "We'll go back tonight." As much fun as it was being with everyone after all that happened, this was still their honeymoon. He was excited to get some alone time with Kairi again after Valhalla and after today's good excitement.

Riku tossed his towel back where he found it, nodding to his friend. "Good for you, man," he said with a faint smile. They deserved the break after Valhalla. He and Lightning did too; she suffered a lot because of Serah's death, even if it was temporary.

Sora nodded slightly, his small smile staying in place. "Better hurry and get your food," he recommended. He expected his would be coming over any minute now. And even if it wasn't, that was okay. He didn't have much of an appetite after the argument he saw earlier. He hoped he was making the right decision to keep it from Riku for now...

Riku eyed Sora for a minute, almost thinking that his smile was...forced. Regardless, he shook it off and nodded to his friend, starting toward the food line. He passed Kairi on the way, who was balancing two drinks and two plates, one piled high with food. He predicted that was for Sora. Riku's appetite was similar, since they didn't eat much in Valhalla. He was sure Lightning's was the same. But...where was she? She had been gone for a while. Dessert didn't take that long...

Sora forced down the large plate of food that Kairi gave him, grateful she was willing to accommodate his normally-large appetite. It was a shame he wasn't too hungry, because the food was really good. Throughout the meal, he sneaked glances at Riku, who was eating with Serah, Hope, and Noel. He had to have been wondering where Lightning was now.

Riku ate and conversed with his friends, but after a little while, his eyes darted around the beach. He barely contributed to the conversation, however, more concerned for Lightning. Where was she? It had been at least thirty minutes, and most of the shops were close by. No way could dessert take this long.

Sora eventually couldn't take it anymore. He wasn't good at keeping secrets, especially not from his best friend. "Be right back, Kai," he said, rising to his feet after gently stroking her hair. He started over towards Riku and the others, stopping nearby. "Riku, can I steal you for a sec?" He had to tell him something.

Riku turned his head, looking up at his friend as he sat on the beach. "Yeah," he said with a small nod. He put his plate to the side and rose to his feet, brushing off some sand before motioning for Sora to lead. Maybe Riku was reading too much into his expression, but Sora looked...worried.

Sora led Riku away, in the direction that Snow and Lightning had been earlier. Neither of them had returned from what he saw. Since he had been watching, it was significant that he didn't see them. Once they were far away enough, Sora nervously scratched the side of his head. "I, uh, overheard something I wasn't supposed to earlier," he started. "...Lightning and Snow had a fight."

Riku lifted an eyebrow at the statement, confused. Why would Light and Snow fight at a time like this? He knew Lightning wouldn't do that, but Snow was dumb enough to bring something touchy up. That was probably exactly what happened. He waited for Sora to continue. What was the fight about?

  • Author

"I think Lightning should tell you what they fought about, but she probably won't tell you this..." Sora sucked in a breath, frowning at the situation. "Snow backhanded her." He saw it with his own eyes. She baited him to get him angry and he ended up smacking her, hard. He heard the impact from where he was.

Riku's heart skipped a beat at the news, his eyes widening. Snow hit Lightning? It only took a small second for Riku's eyes to narrow, becoming cold with pure fury. He shook his head and turned a little, looking away as his fists clenched. His friends knew better than anyone that Riku's silent fury was the worst kind, which meant Snow's fate was decided. Riku had to find him. He had to find Lightning. Snow wasn't getting away with this.

Sora saw within seconds that Riku was steaming. He didn't try to calm him down, not right away. If Sora was in his shoes, he would have been ticked off too. But after a few seconds, he spoke up again. "Lightning walked away right after happened. I don't know where she went." Hopefully Riku would focus on finding Lightning, not confronting Snow. It was starting to get dark now and neither of them were back. He hoped not all of them would have to search; nobody else needed to know about that fight right now.

Riku released a heavy breath, closing his eyes briefly as he nodded. "Thanks," he muttered tightly, looking at Sora before leaving the area. He needed to find Lightning quickly. He was sure she wouldn't do anything rash, but he just needed to see her. A large, strong man smacked her in the face. Riku had done it once, when he was under Darkness's control, but it was different. Riku's actions were controlled, Snow's were not. He would be punished.

Sora stood in place and watched Riku go, knowing better than to follow him anywhere. If he needed help finding Lightning, he would have asked for it. He did what he could in the situation, though he wished he could have stopped Snow from hitting Lightning. He didn't see it coming in time to stop it.
