Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku walked back toward the beach, knowing he would have to go that way to get to Lightning's. He would check there first, since it was still technically her home. His arms were tight with tension, his hands clenched in fists. It only got worse when he looked up and saw the perpetrator. Snow had the guts to come back here after what he did to Lightning, to his wife's sister? Stupid, Riku cursed, his pace picking up as Snow made his way toward the group. As if Riku was going to let that happen.

Sora's eyes followed Riku when he walked away, but his gaze landed on another person then. Snow was heading towards the NORA group, and Riku obviously saw him. Oh shoot. Snow was definitely going to get it now. "Riku," Sora called after him, trying to tell him to keep calm. The rest of the group didn't need to know there was a problem...

Riku heard the call, and so did a few others, but he wasn't going to listen to it. Snow didn't hear it, nor did he see Riku coming for him. The young man picked up his pace when he was closer, no longer walking quickly; instead, he ran. He grunted as he threw himself into Snow, tackling him to the ground. He heard a squeal in surprise, as well as a few grunts. As if he cared. Snow was going to suffer for what he did to Lightning.

"Riku!" Sora called again, running over towards the scuffle. He wasn't surprised that Riku tackled him, but he had to realize that Snow had an advantage in a wrestling match because of his size. Sora wished that Riku would be logical for once, but his anger was controlling him now.

Snow grunted when he was tackled to the ground, but when he looked up, he briefly caught aquamarine eyes before a fist impacted his face. He instantly felt blood flood his nose as he pushed Riku off of him, pinning him on the ground. He knew what he was hitting him for. How couldn't he? "Stop it!" he hollered.

Riku ground his teeth together. "No!" he growled, lifting his head and headbutting Snow to get the man to ease up. Once he did, Riku used his strength to roll them back over, throwing punches. Nobody hurt Lightning without having to go through Riku!

"Riku!" Serah cried in horror. She ran over towards the scene along with several others, her eyes wide. She had no clue what brought this one. One minute she was laughing with Hope, the next she heard a fight going on behind her back. She didn't even know how to begin to separate the two...

Riku punched Snow once more before he grabbed the man by the collar, holding him off the ground a little. "Who do you think you are, huh?" he spat. "You think you can just hit her and get away with it?! If anybody hurts Lightning, they go through me!" Snow was protective of Serah, just as Riku was for Lightning. He knew the consequences of such actions.

Serah stopped nearby, lifting her hands to her mouth. Did she just hear Riku right? He said...Snow hit Lightning. That was absolutely impossible though. Snow never would do that! He would never hit anybody; he was a big guy, but he had a gentle heart. There was some kind of misunderstanding here...

Snow heard a few gasps and murmers as he glared back at Riku, and that was enough. He used his strength and lifted his hands to Riku's chest, shoving him off him. He sat up as Riku did the same, though Snow had to wipe at the trail of blood trickling from his nose. "You don't know what you're talking about," he spat, tempted to punch Riku in the jaw for his big mouth. Serah had to have heard that...

"The hell I don't!" Riku hollered, outraged. "Everyone knows that she can take a hit, but this... This is too far." Riku would never let this go. Nobody hurt Lightning, ever. Not while Riku was around.

Sora stepped closer, intervening since he was one of the few who knew the situation. "Riku," he said quietly, "Serah..." Serah was standing right here, listening in and hearing how Snow hit her sister. Hurting Snow was one thing, but now Riku was hurting Serah too. He needed to step back from this fight.

Riku's hard eyes darted to Sora, but upon hearing Serah's name, he looked over at her. The hurt on her face broke his expression, and he instantly looked away. He ground his teeth together and rose to his feet in silence, adrenaline still pumping through his veins. Behind his fury, he knew he made a scene, and it was bad. Riku glanced over at Serah again, a mixture of emotions in his eyes: anger, fear, and sorrow. "I'm sorry," he said softly, gazing at Serah before his eyes darted to Sora, and then the other partygoers. "Sorry."

Hope could only look between Riku and Snow, not sure what to say. But he did know what to think: Snow had changed. Whatever was wrong, Hope didn't like the new person Snow had become. He would never hurt someone so precious to Serah, ever.

Riku knew that it was best he left to find Lightning, so he started forward, having to pass Snow. One of his NORA friends was at his side, a girl with black hair that he didn't know, but Riku's eyes were glued to Snow. "Don't touch her again," he told him slowly, voice like ice as he jabbed a finger in the taller man's direction. If Snow knew what was good for him, he would listen.

Serah watched Riku, and she wasn't afraid of him even if he did just attack her husband. He was thoroughly convinced that Snow hit Lightning. But did he? Her eyes lowered to the man on the ground, fear and sadness in her gaze. She hoped that Riku was wrong, but Snow's expression was unsettling.

Snow felt a gentle gaze on him, and it was one he could never mistake for someone else's. He closed his eyes as Lebreau told people to spread out and return to the party. Riku was gone, which meant the drama was too...for the most part. Snow lifted his gaze to find his wife, and upon seeing the question in her eyes, he looked away. They clearly needed to talk.

Far away from the beach, Lightning sat on the roof of her old home and watched the shoreline. Of course she couldn't see details of anything; she was just gazing in that direction as she had been for a long time. Before long, fireworks began like they often did in Bodhum. Riku was surely wondering where she was now, but she couldn't make herself go back because Snow was probably there. Serah definitely was, anyway, and she didn't want to act like everything was okay anymore in front of her.

Riku walked up the path toward Lightning's house, and he glanced up at it, only to see a figure on the roof. He knew it was her, since everyone else was on the beach. He ignored the fireworks going on and instead made his way toward her, his Keyblade abilities allowing him to grab onto the ledge of the roof after a running leap, onto which he pulled himself up. Once he was on his feet, Riku gazed at the woman he loved, feeling bad. He should have been there. But...he trusted Snow. Clearly that was a mistake.

Lightning looked over at Riku, glad that it was dark out and he couldn't read her so well. That was what she thought, anyway, forgetting that he could see extremely well in the dark. She wordlessly patted a spot next to her for Riku to sit down. That was all she could do, since she didn't really know what to say.

Riku wordlessly started toward the woman he loved, lowering himself to sit beside her. He let his legs dangle over the roof as he watched the fireworks, not really knowing what to say. What could he say to let her know he found out about Snow's most recent mistake? It would be a hard conversation to start.

When a bright firework lit the sky, Lightning looked down at Riku's hands. "You have blood on your knuckles." It didn't look like his hands were scrapped up or anything. If she had to guess, Riku somehow found out about her and Snow's fight, beat Snow to a pulp and got blood on his hand from that. It was just an estimate of what happened, but she was logical enough to formulate the situation.

Riku looked down at his hand, lifting it slightly to examine it as the light from the firework faded. "...Yup," he said shortly, not knowing how else to respond. Lightning was smart enough. She could come to a conclusion if she really thought about it.

Light lifted a hand, running it over Riku's hair once as she looked back at the fireworks. He knew that she pieced it together just with the blood and his body posture. And she knew that he pieced it together somehow that Snow hit her. The details didn't really matter right now, at least not to her.

Riku felt Lightning's hand go over his head, and he let out a soft breath at the feeling. He was glad he pummeled Snow; he deserved it. How could he just hit Lightning like that? It didn't make any sense... What could they have argued about? "...Are you alright?" he asked, turning his head to look over at her. He couldn't see any marks, at least not right now.

Lightning let her hand rest on the back of Riku's neck, her fingers playing with some of his shorter hair as she nodded. "Yeah," she said as she gazed ahead. She was fine. She didn't know how she looked, because she hadn't looked in a mirror or treated the hit. That was part of the reason she kept her gaze forward; that way, Riku couldn't see the side Snow struck. But she also didn't want to lie and look him in the eye at the same time.

Riku didn't know how to respond, so he didn't. Instead, he watched the fireworks in silence. Other people were actually enjoying it, but he wasn't really seeing them at all. His mind was elsewhere, because of Snow. He and Lightning could have been with their friends on the beach, but that idiot made it so they couldn't. What a rip off.

After a moment or two of fingering Riku's hair, Lightning spoke up. "You should go back to the beach with everyone else," she said quietly. She knew him well enough to know that he was upset that they weren't enjoying the fireworks like they should have been. If he went down and joined his friends, though, they could have fun together.

"Don't," Riku snapped without thinking, his eyes closing as another firework popped in the sky. "Don't...push me away like that." She always did that, and he wasn't taking it this time. Lightning was hurt, physically and probably emotionally. He wasn't going to just leave her to be with his friends. He would see them at home.
