Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning frowned, her fingers hesitating for a moment but then continuing to play with his hair. She was pushing him away because she cared about him. Sometimes, he felt more hurt than she did concerning situations. If he sat with her here then he was going to be more hurt by seeing her like this. She was trying to protect him from that.

Riku felt the hesitation in Lightning's movements, and because of that, he opened his eyes to look at his bloody knuckles. "...Why did he do it?" he asked softly. Why did Snow hit Lightning? Everything was going great beforehand...

Light released a silent breath, trying to figure out how to say it. "He brought up how I took away my blessing for them. I told him that he still didn't have my blessing back, because of his anger issues. I tried to make him see his problem by making him angrier, and...well..." The rest was obvious. He got angry enough to backhand her.

Riku sighed, lifting a hand and placing it on Lightning's knee. "...I'm sorry," he said softly. He was the reason she took her blessing away; he ticked Snow off, even if Riku believed he was doing the right thing. Snow could have gotten Lightning killed, since she was already in bad condition because of Lumina. Snow had been an idiot, but Riku made matters worse.

Lightning shook her head softly. "I brought it on myself," she said quietly, thinking Riku was sorry that Snow hit her. In truth, she did instigate Snow and try to make him lose control to prove a point. But a lot of her words still rang true. Snow was a spineless idiot who didn't think before he acted and made promises he couldn't keep. He ticked her off.

"I helped you make that decision," Riku said, looking over at the one he loved. "I have to take a little bit of the blame." And he would, no matter what Lightning said. He got Snow riled up a lot lately, or it happened the other way around, like today. Snow nearly killed Lightning once, and Riku almost lost it there. This wasn't as bad, but it was still bad enough.

"It was the right decision to make," Lightning said simply, consciously twirling Riku's hair again. "There are consequences for it, but that's how it is." If Snow hated her for a while, that was fine. She didn't care one bit if he hated her or not. Good riddance to that annoying Hero butting into her business and acting chummy with her when they were really...really...family. She locked her jaw in aggravation, her cheek hurting from the tension. She couldn't lie to herself and say that Snow wasn't important to her, because he was.

"Those consequences shouldn't be getting hit," Riku said tightly, fighting the urge to go back down to the beach right now. But whatever physical pain Riku dealt to the man, Serah could beat with words. He was sure she was lecturing Snow now. He wouldn't be forgiven for this. He was never even forgiven for taking Lightning to Pulse. Lightning may have brushed that off, but not Riku.

No, but that's what happened, Lightning nearly said. Instead, she lowered her hand and began to run it over Riku's tense back. In the rush of everything, he didn't put on a shirt. But he obviously wasn't cold; he was still seething from what happened with Snow. She was angry too, but mostly sad that she was right to take away her blessing.

Riku gazed at Lightning, not bothering to say anything. He didn't know what she was thinking about, but he hoped she knew that he defended her one of the only ways he knew how. Beating the person who dealt the pain. Riku wouldn't let this go for a very long time. Snow wasn't making it easy to be friends.

Lightning thought back to the fact that Riku's knuckles were bloody. He had a fight with Snow. The question was... "Did Serah see you confront Snow?" She finally vocalized that she knew what happened, putting that out in the open. She understood that there was a fight, but she didn't yet understand that more people than Serah saw what happened.

Riku looked away at that, taking his hand back from Lightning's knee to watch the fireworks again. But he didn't really see them. "...A lot of people saw me," he told her lowly. Hope, Noel, Sora, Kairi, Roxas and Naminé, and Serah. Snow tried brushing everything off because Serah was around, but she needed to know the truth. Her husband hit her sister, which wasn't going over well, Riku was sure.

Light lifted a hand to her face, fighting a sigh of frustration. Riku didn't directly answer the question, but she still had the answer she needed. Serah saw Light's boyfriend punch her husband. That was all she needed to know to spur her to action. She rose to her feet, easily maintaining her balance on the roof. "Come on," she said. They had to go back to the beach now.

Riku tilted his head to look up at Lightning, seeing the colors from the fireworks flash over her form. "...Where're we going?" he asked lowly. She couldn't seriously be talking about the beach, right? Riku humiliated multiple people when he was there: Snow, Serah, Lightning, and himself. It wasn't that he couldn't show his face; he just didn't want to see Snow again. He would lose it.

Lightning looked down at Riku, hearing his voice lower than usual. She softened, realizing that even if she went with him, he didn't want to go back to the beach. But... "We can't leave things as they are," she said gently. Serah was probably miserable now, along with everyone else left on the beach. There had to be a way to salvage the happiness they had earlier.

Riku felt his eyes harden, his suspicion correct. But...he couldn't really blame Lightning for wanting to go back; she probably wanted to see Serah. He wanted to see Sora and Kairi, if they weren't already gone, so he could apologize. Besides, his stuff was still there, including his shirt. Riku nodded a little as he glanced away, then rising to his feet. He guessed they had some loose ends to tie up.

Lightning leaned up, giving Riku a kiss on the cheek. Obviously he wasn't happy. He wasn't going to be happy for a little while after what happened with Snow. Now that she was looking at him directly, he probably could see the bruise on her cheek from the hit. That definitely wasn't going to help anything. But she wasn't just going to the beach to cheer up everyone else. She wanted Riku happy again too.

Riku's eyes remained hard even at the kiss, because that was when the light from the firework show highlight Lightning's newest bruise. He lifted his hand to cup the side of her head, his fingers in her soft pink hair as he nodded to her. Once they reached the beach, he would focus on Lightning and her needs, as well as his friends. He would have to stay away from Snow for a while, if Snow was even there.

Lightning stayed still for a few moments, Riku's hand remaining in her hair. But after a few moments, she forced herself to move. She gracefully jumped off the roof and landed on her feet. The first thing she did was go into her home and grab a sweatshirt to go over her bathing suit and her wallet. Instead of heading directly to the beach, she led Riku in another direction. If they were going to change the atmosphere of the beach, they would need to take drastic action.

Riku was slightly confused when he and Lightning didn't head for the beach right away. While he stayed close to her side, he silently questioned her motives. What did she have in mind, exactly? He learned to read her well, but this was something he just didn't understand.

After a few minutes, Lightning and Riku hit their destination. A small stand that Lightning went to several times in the past with Serah. A fireworks stand. She took out her wallet to buy a few, and while the owner of the stand gathered the numerous fireworks, she turned back to Riku. "Serah and I made a bet a few years ago," she informed him. "If I ever was in a serious relationship, Serah would set off fireworks herself. We set them off a few times before, but I she was always too scared to light them, so I did it while she stood back." Tonight, Serah was going to have her chance to face the consequences of her bet.

Riku lifted an eyebrow. "So I helped you win a bet?" he asked, teasing her lowly as a faint smirk appeared. It was a ridiculous bet, but if this somehow lightened things up, Riku was all for it. Just as long as Serah was okay and Snow was nowhere in sight...

Lightning smiled faintly, nudging Riku lightly with her elbow jokingly. "You helped me with much more than that," she said sweetly. He did help her win a silly bet, but he was obviously good for much more than that. When the shop owner handed her a few bags of fireworks, she thanked him and accepted them. It was time to lighten up the beach. Literally.

Riku took it upon himself to carry a bag or two, then walking with Lightning to the beach. Not as many people were there as when he left, but that was to be expected since it was dark. The party started in the afternoon and people had lives of their own. Riku's aquamarine eyes darted around, looking for his friends. He would have seen their gliders if they left.

Serah was the first one to see Lightning and Riku return to the beach. Of course she noticed that they were carrying bags, but she didn't care about them. She ran over to the two and kept her main focus on Lightning for the reason that she was concerned about her. "Light," she breathed, stopping right in front of her. Was she alright?

Lightning saw the concern painted on Serah's face even in the darkness. The first thing she did was smirk deviously and hold up the bags. "Today's the day you live up to our bet, Serah." She lightly nudged Riku, motioning that he was the reason for the bet. After a few moments, it registered what the bet was. Fireworks.
