Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku let a faint smirk appear, though it was hard for one of pure amusement settle in. The look in Serah's eyes was hard to ignore, especially since he triggered it initially. Snow had a great deal to do with it, but still. "...Sorry," he said, shrugging a little. "You know how she gets." When Light made a decision, she followed through. He couldn't really help Serah escape this one.

Serah looked at Riku, silently agreeing that she did know how Lightning got. But still. "I don't think tonight's the best time for it, Light," she said gently. "You were..."

"You're looking for an excuse to get out of it," Lightning interrupted with her smirk forced to stay in place. "You're doing it, end of discussion. Let's get closer to the shore." They had to light them further away from the rest of civilization, even if the distance wasn't that much further away. She started forward, feeling Serah's gaze on her as she did so.

Riku watched Lightning go for only a second before he stepped forward, placing a hand on Serah's shoulder. He smiled apologetically, for more reasons than one, but the look also said what he didn't: Do this for her. He squeezed Serah's shoulder before silently starting after Lightning to follow her lead.

Serah accepted Riku's expression and the apology that came with it. She didn't blame him for hitting Snow; he did deserve it. He was standing way off to the side now, surely watching the scene instead of interrupting it. Serah started forward while Lightning began to set up the fireworks ahead of them. Now that it was hitting her what she had to do, she was more nervous about that than concerned for Lightning. She saw this go wrong before...

Riku helped Lightning set up, taking some of the fireworks out of the bag and position them so they would head high and shine brightly above the water. Once they were set, he turned to Lightning and Serah, though his eyes lingered on the latter. She looked nervous, but it amused him all the same. She would be fine.

When Lightning motioned for Serah to light the fireworks, the girl shook her head. "S-sorry Lightning," she tried. "I'm backing out of this bet. I can't..." She couldn't get that close to them to light them; it was too scary! She started backing up, but that was when Sora appeared out of nowhere and stopped her with a gentle grip. Oh great, everyone was going to make sure she followed through!

Riku smiled at the sight of his best friend and brother, glad to see that he was still here. Of course, he wouldn't miss out on a light show like this one, especially when married to Kairi; she adored these kinds of things.

Kairi walked up behind Serah as well, a few seconds later than her husband as she stopped next to the girl. "Riku and Lightning won't let you get hurt," she told the young woman with a gentle smile, then looking to the two she mentioned. She saw Riku nod with a small smile, assuring her that she was right. Lightning wouldn't have ever put Serah in harm's way in the first place.

Serah still shifted nervously in Sora's grasp. Okay, she wouldn't run away, but... "Lightning, can you test one first?" she pleaded. They should at least make sure that they worked properly before letting Serah light her first one ever. With the possible danger here, she was surprised Snow wasn't here despite his problems with Riku. Or maybe he realized what Kairi said was true. Riku and Lightning wouldn't let her get hurt.

Lightning sighed, though she was smiling as she did. She accepted the matches out of Serah's grasp and started towards a firework on the end. "Everyone back up," she warned. It was time to get started.

Roxas watched as everyone did as advised, though he was standing a bit away in the first place. The most recent fireworks were great, so he was curious as to how this was going to go as well. They were just a handful of the few who still lingered on the beach, so the show was just for them.

Namine watched as Lightning lit one and then stepped away before it flew out towards the ocean and exploded in a rainbow of colors. She gasped in amazement, eyes sparkling at that lone firework. "I want to set off fireworks," she sighed dreamily. They were so beautiful. To her, it was like painting the sky. Absolutely gorgeous.

Roxas glanced over at Naminé, seeing the look in her eyes. "Then why don't you?" he asked, smirking as he then shared a glance with Riku. They had enough, right? Couldn't all of them light one?

Riku nodded at Roxas briefly before approaching the woman he loved. He set a hand on the small of her back. "How about everyone lights one?" he whispered gently. "Serah might feel better that way." She could light the first firework following this one, of course, and if any were left over, the rest. But it would be a cool contribution, and a nice way to end the night.

Lightning looked over at Riku, noticing Serah's ears perked up at the conversation she was overhearing. "Serah needs to light at least two," she complied. The rest could be up for grabs. Serah had to light one the natural way, and then Lightning would tell her an easier way to do it without even getting close to the fireworks.

"Fine, fine," Serah muttered. She stepped closer to Lightning and snatched the matchbox out of her hand. "I just want to get it over with, okay?" Even if she whined while saying that, in an odd sort of way, she was looking forward to lighting a firework in the midst of her fear. Of course she was going to light this one alone; if everyone else was lighting them near her, she would be more panicked.

Riku had smirked at Lightning's words, but upon seeing and hearing Serah whine, he genuinely smiled. He stepped away from Lightning and instead took a place next to Sora and Kairi, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited. He had a feeling Serah would really enjoy this.

Serah knelt down by one of the fireworks, slightly surprised when Lightning joined her in the sand. Her sister calmly and patiently instructed her how to best light the firework, her tone level and soothing. Not many people saw the gentle side of Lightning, but fortunately, they were able to see right now how good a sister she was. When Serah lit the end of the fuse, Lightning helped her to her feet and the two backed up before the firework shot into the sky and exploded into millions of golden lights. At first Serah's squeal was one of fright, but then it was one of excitement. I did it!!

Kairi smiled instantly, especially when she heard a few of her friends laugh at Serah's excitement. The girl looked from the sky to Lightning and her sister, glad to see them together again. Lightning wasn't the same person without Serah, but then again, nobody in their group could go unaffected by the death of any of them. They were tightly-knit, and in a way, family. That was how it was meant to be.

Lightning smirked, but at the same time, it was a genuine expression that she didn't force for Serah's sake. This time, she was truly happy. "Good job," she praised, setting a hand on her sister's shoulder. "You can light the next one using magic." This way, she didn't have to get close to the fuse to light it.

Serah blinked at the comment. She could light it using magic...Of course she could. It was obvious. "Lightning," she whined, lightly hitting her sister's hand away. That wasn't fair; why couldn't she do that for the first firework? It would have made everything so much easier! But Lightning only laughed at her whine, not that Lightning's laugh wasn't a big deal. It instantly made Serah beam too.

Riku's smile remained, softening with adoration when he heard Lightning's laughter. Gosh, it was like music to his ears. He hoped to hear that for the rest of his life, and recalling a conversation he and Lightning had in Valhalla, marriage was definitely in their future. He promised her happiness, affection, and protection for the rest of her life, and she declared wanting him forever. It was a win-win situation, and a future Riku was excited for.

Lightning smoothed Serah's hair, tucking her side-ponytail behind her shoulders naturally. She looked back to the rest of the group that gathered to join the festivities. "Go on," she said with a grin. There were plenty of fireworks for everyone to light. She was planning on standing back away from them, since she already lit fireworks before today.

Kairi's eyes lit up at the instruction, and she glanced over at Sora and Riku before rushing to one of the fireworks. She never lit one of them before, so of course she was going to make the most of this opportunity. "Sora, come on!" she encouraged with excitement, glancing back at her husband. What was he waiting for?!

Sora laughed, humoring Kairi as he started forward. Of course he was excited too; he was a child at heart and always would be. "I guess I should have thought of this for the honeymoon," he said with a grin. Kairi was obviously excited to light fireworks, and he was too. This was going to be so cool!

Kairi smiled as well. "This is part of the honeymoon," she declared happily. Tonight would have been their second night on the honeymoon, but this was better considering their past. The young woman picked a firework and knew she could easily light it with a Fire spell. This would be so fun!

"Good point," Sora agreed. Technically, this was a part of the honeymoon, even if it wasn't originally a part of the plan. He stood in front   of his firework, seeing several of his friends do the same. Even Serah was ready to light another one after all her fear a few minutes ago. "Who wants to count down?"

Riku stood on the other side of Kairi, next to Serah as well. He looked down the line and decided he would lead. "I got it," he said, summoning his Keyblade to him. His other friends did the same, while he was sure Serah and Naminé would use magic of their own to light theirs. "Three, two...one!"

Roxas heard multiple spells get cast, and fuses were still lit. After Naminé did hers, he grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her back so they wouldn't get hurt if the fireworks backfired. His other friends did the same, and soon, they all went off--some at the same time, others milliseconds after. Kairi squealed in delight, while Riku cheered from his spot next to her. Roxas could only smile in amazement, seeing the colors explode all over the sky. Wow...

Namine squealed in delight, eyes sparkling as she watched the fireworks in the sky. They were absolutely one of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen, and the fact that she created it with her friends made it even better. Caught up in the moment, she leaned over and gave Roxas a kiss on the cheek out of happiness.

Roxas chuckled a little, glancing over at Naminé before wrapping an arm around her waist. His eyes then danced across the sky, catching the colors for a moment more before they faded. The stars were visible again, and only the lights from the nearby shops lit the beach. That had been fun, and thrilling. He would remember it for a while.
