A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Gadot," Snow said, turning around a little to look at his friend. "...Don't do this." He could sense the antagonistic side in his friend, not that his attitude didn't give it away. They were finally getting things reconciled. The last thing they needed was more drama.

"She's the one stirring up trouble," Gadot said to Snow upon recognizing his expression. "You think she's not manipulating you right now too? All she does is manipulate people for her own purposes." He glared at Lightning, seeing her stare back at him in silence. "She gave you a choice to stay with Serah, huh? She only did it to justify the fact that she abandoned Serah when she jumped into a new life." 

"Whoa, hold on a second," Riku said, then taking a step forward, regardless of Light's hand on his stomach. "There was no abandoning anybody." Who did this guy think he was? He could tell just by the way he talked about Lightning that he knew nothing about her, apart from what could be observed. He didn't know her heart, not like Riku.

Gadot cast a glare in Riku's direction. "Wasn't talking to you," he said coldly. He looked back to Lightning, ignoring Snow's earlier orders to stay out of this mess. "Lightning knows I'm right anyway. Why else would she be so quiet?"

 

"Because I know you're just trying to pick a fight like you always do, Gadot," Lightning said calmly. Gadot was even worse with Snow when it came to confrontation. He was all muscle and no thinking. As if she could ever take anything he said seriously. She looked back to Riku, seeing that defensive expression of his. "He's only baiting us. Don't worry about it." Riku didn't need to take anything he said to heart because she certainly wasn't.

While Riku barely glanced at Lightning before glaring at Gadot again, Snow's eyes hardened as he too looked at his best friend with disapproval. "I told you not to do this," he said tightly, on edge due to what was going on here. "What about this being my problem did you not understand?" Gadot was certainly not helping things. Riku's fuse could blow soon, as could Snow's. No way was Gadot going to ruin this second chance.

"It's not a problem," Lightning said, resetting her hand on Riku's stomach to keep him back. "His words mean nothing. There's no reason to give him the satisfaction and get worked up." She never did like Gadot, or the rest of NORA, and they didn't like her. She didn't think that was ever going to change. 

 

"My words mean nothing, huh?" Gadot retorted. "Then you won't mind when I say this: Your boyfriend may think leaving Serah with Snow is stupid, but I'm here to say leaving her with you is infinitely worse. You're selfish, manipulative and self-righteous. You think that you can never make a mistake, but you made a big one turning NORA against you." He eyed her viciously, noticing her hand on Riku's stomach curl into a fist with his last sentence. "It's a miracle Serah turned out the way she did with you as her relative." 

Snow sensed Riku take another step forward, and that was when Snow got in his way. "Gadot," he warned harshly. He glared at his friend with cold eyes. "Back...off." They just recently attracted attention...and not everyone in NORA was against Lightning. Snow made sure of that. It was only Gadot who really had a problem.

Gadot didn't have the sense to  back off. He was three times bigger than Riku was, and he had no problem calling Lightning out here. The only good thing about Lightning was that she tried not to get into fights while Serah was around. "We're more of a family to Serah than you'll ever be," he growled. "We were there for her when it really mattered. Where were you, Lightning? Finding yourself a new family because this one saw you for who you really are?"

 

Lightning pressed harder against Riku's stomach to keep him from advancing further. Snow may have been trying to break this up, but it wasn't succeeding. And Riku's temper was going to get the better of him any moment. "Back off," she said lowly, speaking to both Riku and Gadot. This didn't need to escalate any further. 

"Lightning, let me go," Riku ordered through his teeth, his fists clenched as he fought to let his temper overcome him. He wasn't going to let this musclehead talk down to the woman he loved. She needed to release him so he could finish this punk, regardless of size.

 

"Riku," Snow said, turning his head a little to look at the young man. He met hard aquamarine eyes before giving him a look. Riku couldn't release his Darkness here. NORA would not take kindly to that. At all. Snow turned back to his friend and placed a hand on his chest. "I think you need to take a walk, big guy. You're getting out of line here."

Gadot smacked Snow's hand away from him. He stepped past Snow and up to Lightning, standing as close to her as he could while also staying on the opposite side of Riku. Lightning foolishly turned herself so that Riku was completely behind her, her body now blocking him instead of her hand. "You always were cocky, Lightning," he growled. "You always looked down on us because you were in an official military group. But now, you're nothing at all. You don't deserve Serah and you don't deserve Snow. What you deserve...is this." He pulled back his arm suddenly and launched it forward, slamming his fist right into Lightning's stomach and causing her to stumble and completely lose her breath because of the sheer force.

Riku knew what was going to happen as soon as Gadot stepped forward, but he wasn't given the chance to get in the way. Instead, he grabbed Lightning around the waist, holding her up as he heard cries of rage and fear from his friends, one coming from him and the other Snow. Riku tended to Lightning, gazing at her before his eyes darted to Snow, who decided now was a time to take physical action.

 

Snow's eyes widened at the action, but then they narrowed in fury. He moved in front of Gadot instantly and used his strength to push his friend away. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" he roared. He noticed that the rest of the NORA gang was on their way, having been observing from the tent. Good, Snow had a feeling he would need some reinforcements.

Lightning only stood on her feet because of Riku; if he hadn't been there, she would have fallen to the ground in a heap. Even with his arms around her, she had a hard time remaining upright with the lack of oxygen coming in and the pain in her stomach that was making her want to curl up on the ground. She automatically tried to recollect her breath, but inwardly panicked when she couldn't suck anything in. Gadot...

 

"Don't you start with me, Snow!" Gadot roared. "She got what was coming to her and you know it." She deserved some pain after all the pain she inflicted on Snow. How dare she take away Snow's blessing and call him a terrible person and still end up innocent?! It was wrong!

"That is my family!" Snow hollered in return, pointing back at the woman in Riku's arms. "You want to get to her, you go through me! Understand?!" He took a daring step forward, taller than Gadot and just as strong. "Try that again and you'll get what's coming to you." He wasn't about to let Gadot walk all over Lightning. She may have been wrong to provoke him, but Snow was the one who did the damage. Her fault was forgotten, as far as Snow was concerned.

Gadot glared at Snow in disbelief. So now he was the bad guy? Fine. He would walk away the villain until Snow came to his senses and realized that Lightning was the one who was guilty. When he noticed Serah approaching with a glare that ran in the Farron family, he turned and walked away. Whatever. Someday you'll see I'm right.

Snow watched with hard eyes as Gadot left the scene, and when he saw a few questioning gazes from the rest of NORA, he jerked his chin toward Gadot. They needed to calm him down and worry about Lightning later. Right now, that was his and Riku's job. At the thought, he turned around, seeing that Lightning was still having trouble catching her breath. At least Riku didn't let her crumple to the ground.

"Lightning, are you okay?" Serah asked, tone full of worry as she stopped near the trio of Riku, Lightning, and Snow. She didn't question Snow being close by or standing up to Gadot; obviously Lightning and Snow made up at some point and Gadot was pigheaded enough to pick a fight. He even one-upped Snow and punched Lightning instead of just smacking her. As infuriated as she was at Gadot, she was more worried about Lightning, who lifted a hand and waved off her concern because she still couldn't speak.

Riku kept his arms around Lightning, keeping her bent over a little since that was all she could really manage. "I think it's time we head back to the house," he said, looking from Serah to Snow. He saw the latter nod in agreement, and he was sure Serah would do the same. Lightning needed to lie down and catch her breath; Gadot was far from gentle with her.

Lightning shook her head, though she couldn't move out of Riku's arms yet or even breathe properly. "Fine," she panted, though she meant to say "I'm fine." She didn't want them heading back to the house for her sake; they were just starting to have fun again! There have to be more fireworks to light here. Stay here and light them! Be happy again!

Riku shifted his hold on Lightning, lifting her into his arms with a faint grunt before looking at his friends. "We'll be fine," he said with a small nod. "Stay here." He imagined Snow and Serah would come with him to Light's, but the rest of them didn't have to. They could take off or wait for Riku to come back. Either way, he would let them know how things were going eventually.

Lightning shook her head again, though her body curled up more once she was in Riku's arms. "No..." she protested again, voice raspy. She pushed herself too much trying to speak again, though, and she fought hard not to cough. It was hard to do either or, since she didn't have air to cough with. 

"Shh, Light," Riku said gently, looking from Snow to Serah and turning on his heels to head back to Lightning's house. He heard Snow say something to Serah, and he was sure it had something to do with following them, but Riku was more concerned with the woman in his arms. The woman who got hit a second time in one day. Riku had to protect her better than this...

Lightning knew there was no getting to Riku; he wasn't going to put her down no matter what happened. He was too worked up after Valhalla and after today's arguments to let her down. It's fine. Just let him help you... She shut her eyes and leaned her head against his shoulder, focusing on letting him support her physically while she caught her breath. Sometimes it was hard to remember that she didn't have to face situations like this one without support.

Riku muttered a "thanks" to Snow once he opened Lightning's front door, walking in and steering through the dark room to get her to the couch. He set her down gently before taking a seat beside her, already aware of the fact that she would have a bruise on her stomach if they didn't clear it up with a potion. Damn Gadot, he cursed with fury. What a punk.

Serah turned on the lights in the home, trying not to look at Lightning too much to give her privacy. This whole situation stunk. Lightning would have been able to get out of the way of Gadot's punch if she hadn't purposely been keeping Riku behind her. Serah always knew Gadot was a muscle-head, but today, his actions were ridiculous. Now Serah was mad at two people for Lightning's sake, and one of them was her husband. She was too worried about Lightning to dwell in her fury though, at least for now.

Snow shut the door as Riku tended to Lightning, not knowing what to do with himself. All he planned on doing was explaining himself to Lightning at the beach...and then Gadot... He sighed softly, rubbing the back of his neck as he closed his eyes. This wasn't how it was meant to be.
