Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Lightning rolled over, but staying curled up on her back was awkward, so she turned onto her side facing Riku. Even though the tears kept flowing, she became aware of the warmth that was his skin near her face. She bit back a slight whimper, trying to focus. The movements and the voice called her back to reality, slowly, where she believed she was alone in the darkness, just like she was for the past year.

Riku lifted his hand from Lightning's arm to her face, gently starting to wipe away the tears. "Claire, honey, look at me," he requested, voice heavily laced with concern. "Open your eyes." It worried him when she was like this, since she was so strong all the time. The one time she was vulnerable, and she had nightmares. It was awful to witness.

Claire's eyes slowly flickered open, dazed as they wandered up towards the face of the person stroking her cheeks. Of course she recognized the voice, and the hand, and the care behind his actions, but... She sat herself up a bit and turned, reaching for a light. She winced when it first illuminated the room, but she was quick to look over and see for herself through teary eyes that Riku wasn't just a figment of her imagination. You're alive.

Riku's eyes narrowed slightly in question, as well as the change in lighting. "...Claire?" he said again, confused. Her birth name left his lips naturally, just as the concern flowed from him. Why was she crying? Did he do something to upset her? Was it about Snow?

Lightning swallowed before she leaned forward and threw her arms around Riku. She didn't care that he obviously saw her tears, and she didn't care that she was clinging to him more than usual. He was alive, and her dreams were just that. Dreams--no, nightmares. In reality, RIku was right here in her arms, confused, but here.

Riku lifted one of his arms, wrapping it around Light's small body. He didn't know what was wrong, but he decided that for the moment, words were useless. All she needed right now was to be held. He ran his hand over her back gently, hoping to get her to calm down. Whatever the nightmare was about, it was bad.

Lightning tightly held onto Riku, squeezing her eyes shut as he rubbed her back and didn't pester her. "Sorry," she choked. "Sorry." She not only woke him up, but now she had him worried. She couldn't even go ten hours without worrying him after all that happened...She hoped she wasn't this on edge forever.

"Shh," Riku shushed gently. "It's alright." Lightning didn't need to apologize for anything. True, he was a bit confused and a little concerned, but she didn't need to apologize for the nightmares she couldn't control. She could explain herself later.

Lightning shuddered, but she slowly began to calm down, both because of her own willpower and because of Riku's gentle embrace. "You..." she tried. "Caius..." She didn't know what to say other than that. Caius killed Riku right in front of her. Convinced her that Valhalla was reality and all her happiness from the previous day was only a fantasy. It made her feel sick to her stomach just how awful that dream was.

Those two words were enough for Riku to come to the right conclusions. He sighed softly and turned his head, placing a gentle kiss in Lightning's hair. "I'm here," he said softly, assuring her that he was very much alive. "It's okay." He would never leave her, not by the hands of anyone like Caius. Lightning was stuck with Riku forever.

Lightning was relieved to hear that, but just the image of Riku's death from the dream made her stomach more upset. "I'm--" she tried, pulling away from Riku quickly and moving clumsily. She got out of bed and darted into the bathroom connected to her room, making it to the toilet just in time to lose the ice cream she ate too close to bedtime.

Riku watched Lightning with wide eyes as she darted for the bathroom, already aware of what she needed the room for. He sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair. What had Caius done to him in the dream to make Lightning so...sick? Her nightmare must have been incredibly vivid.

Lightning finished her business after a minute or two, a grunt of disgust leaving her. She was a mess, plain and simple. There was no other way to describe her current state. She slowly picked herself up off the ground and grabbed an empty class to rinse out her mouth with. This was not how she wanted to wake up.

Riku rose to his feet and started toward the bathroom, hearing running water. He stopped in the doorway, eyes narrow with concern as he gazed at the woman he loved. "...What happened?" he asked softly. What about the nightmare made her so sick?

Lightning rinsed out her mouth for the second time and shook her head. "You don't want to know," she said, speaking her first sentence since the nightmare. Riku was asking for specifics, but he really didn't want those pictures in his head. That wouldn't make it any easier on her for him to be suffering too; it would do the opposite.

Riku tilted his head a little. "Pretty bad, huh?" he asked lowly, already knowing the answer. That description was probably an understatement, at the very least. If it was enough to make Lightning, someone who had a strong stomach, sick then maybe Riku didn't want to know. All he wanted was for Lightning to feel better. Seeing her like this... It didn't feel good.

Lightning nodded slightly to the question as she prepared her toothbrush. "I'm better now," she said glancing in the mirror to see Riku before focusing on the task at hand. "Part of it was the ice cream right before bed." She wasn't lying, either--her stomach was probably upset from that too. The nightmare just pushed her over the edge.

Riku leaned against the door frame, a sheepish smile on his face. "Sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have shared," he said lowly. It was a snack for him, after all, but he wanted to share at the time. That obviously wasn't a good idea.

Light smiled around the toothbrush. "Den you would hab been sick," she said, speaking as clearly as she could while brushing. If Riku ate the whole bowl of ice cream himself, he probably would have been the one darting to the bathroom. Besides, it had been sweet of him to share with her and fun to eat out of the same bowl.

Riku shook his head, his short hair shifting slightly. "Nah," he said with a slight smirk. "I'm friends with Sora. We've had our fair share of eating contests." In other words, he had the stomach for almost anything. He couldn't remember the last time he'd gotten physically sick.

Lightning spit out her toothpaste and began cleaning the brush under the faucet  "Is that why you can easily stomach my meals?" she joked lightly. She wasn't the best cook around--not horrible, but not great. Because of that, some of her meals were all around terrible, but Riku managed to finish them all the time anyway.

Riku nodded a little, a faint chuckle leaving him. "One of the reasons," he lightly teased. Lightning's meals were actually quite good, but compared to Serah's cooking, she lost. Serah was just naturally good at it. Riku appreciated Lightning's meals anytime, though, no matter how they tasted.

"Then I'll do your stomach a favor and stop cooking for a while," Lightning smirked, rinsing out her mouth one last time. Thankfully, the taste of vomit was completely gone now, and her breath was even minty fresh. She felt so much better now that she was fully conscious, not sick to her stomach, and not stuck in Valhalla.

Riku rolled his eyes playfully, stepping forward to place a hand on the back of Lightning's head. "Gives me the chance to barbecue then," he said, leaning forward and placing a kiss against her hair. He hadn't barbecued in a long time, and it was about time he did, since it was summer. His friends would enjoy that.

"Fine by me," Lightning agreed. Riku cooked for her before, and his food was always good. Either he was a master chef or he secretly had his mother preparing meals that he could take the credit for. Considering how independent Riku was, she doubted that it was the latter.
