Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku ran his thumb over Lightning's pink hair, looking at her through the mirror. "Good. I'll start tomorrow," he said with a faint nod. He dropped his hand and motioned for her to follow him back to bed. It was time to sleep, in peace.

Lightning followed Riku into the bedroom, but she didn't crawl back into bed. She wrapped her arms around her stomach and shook her head slightly. "I'm going to stay up for a little bit," she declared, as if she was making the choice of her own will. The truth was, the nightmare played a big hand in keeping her awake. The last thing she wanted was to fall back asleep and resume that dream.

Riku was almost to the bed when Lightning spoke, and he turned around to face her. He lifted an eyebrow slightly, but upon seeing her posture, he understood. "...Alright," he said softly. "Me too." The look in his eyes should have told Lightning no objections were going to be made. After what just happened... Riku was staying by her side.

Light was glad Riku made the offer first, because she had been nervously wondering how she could ask him to stay awake with her. The time on the clock said that it was past four o'clock, and she would have felt bad asking him to stay awake with her. She already felt bad he was losing sleep, but at least they had the rest of the day to make it up. She motioned for him to follow her to the living room, where she would put on a movie or something.

Riku did as requested, following Lightning to the living room. He could see just fine, but for Lightning's sake, he flipped a light on near the couch. He didn't know what they would be doing, but he would be with her regardless. Her nightmare scared him, and he wasn't even the one dreaming.

"Movie's your pick," Lightning said as she plopped down on the couch. Letting him choose was the least that she could do, since he'd be sleeping peacefully if it wasn't for her nightmare. A year of solitude was going to leave her scarred for a while. If Riku didn't recognize that yet...well, he may not have. She was the only one who was alone after all, not him.

Riku looked at the selection of movies Light had, which wasn't very big. However, neither he nor Lightning enjoyed romance movies, and now wasn't a time for horror. He picked an action comedy instead and slipped it in to the player, hitting play and taking a seat beside the woman he loved. He let his arm rest on the back of the couch behind her, a soft breath leaving his lips in relaxation. It was time to unwind.

Claire curled up to Riku's side, allowing her head to rest by his beating heart. Just for a few seconds before the movie began, she shut her eyes and listened to it. Obviously he was alive and not just a figment of her imagination, but somehow, listening to his heart managed to put her more at ease once again.

Riku moved his arm, wrapping it around Light's shoulder and quietly rubbing her arm as the movie played. It was already early in the morning, but he was okay with that. If they were still up in a few hours, maybe he could make some breakfast. Something light that wouldn't hurt Lightning's stomach too much. She deserved to rest, after everything she'd been through the last few weeks.

The movie was a long one--two and a half hours long. Lightning found herself dozing between the first forty and eighty minutes, her head still resting the same place it had since the start of the movie. The only reason that she could tell Riku was still awake was because of his hand still running over her arm, as it had been for a while.

Riku watched the movie until the credits rolled, in which he looked down at the woman leaning against him. He could tell she was half out of it, so he decided not to disturb her. Instead, he used the remote to turn on the cable and watch something quietly, his hand still running over her arm in silence.

Lightning hummed drowsily, trying to form some comment about the movie being over and her being conscious enough to recognize it. But all she was able to do was let out that tired murmur and snuggle closer to Riku. She was all out of sorts and Riku wasn't complaining for even a moment. I love you.

Riku squeezed Lightning gently when she snuggled closer, his eyes then darting to the window. The sun was coming up, and he smiled slightly. It was a new day, which meant they could start over and put the past behind them. He would help Lightning with that if he could, and he was sure she would accept the help. She loved him, and he loved her too. They never shut each other out anymore.

Lightning was going to ask for permission to fall asleep on Riku, but that was impossible to do since she couldn't find her voice. So instead, she took his squeeze and his presence as permission enough. She allowed her eyes to stay shut as she let go of her grasp on reality and fell asleep with Riku as her pillow.

That morning

Roxas knocked on the door to what was now solely Naminé's apartment. Now that Kairi was married off to their best friend, she and Sora were going to obviously live together. That left Naminé on her own, much to Roxas's dislike; he knew she didn't handle loneliness well.

Namine knew that Kairi had only officially moved out of the apartment two days ago on the day of her wedding, but Namine had no trouble filling up the space she left behind. She turned Kairi's old bedroom into a dark room, where she had all the curtains clamped shut with multiple layers of sheets to the room was pitch black. She was working on developing the photos that she took at the wedding in hopes of getting a project done before Kairi and Sora's return. She was so engrossed in the project that she didn't hear the knock on the door at the other side of the apartment.

Roxas's eyebrows furrowed when he didn't hear footsteps on the other side of the door, and he was tempted to knock again. But what if Naminé was sleeping? Roxas put a hand in his pocket, remembering that he had a key to the apartment. Duh, he thought, taking it out and putting it in the lock. Naminé gave him a key just recently; it was hard to remember that he had it sometimes. He entered the apartment in silence, looking around. Some of the furniture was gone so Sora and Kairi could use it at their own place, but the apartment still looked roomy. "Naminé?" he called, walking in a little more and peeking into the kitchen. Nope, not there.

Namine heard the voice, blinking as she took her cell phone out of her pocket and looked at the time. ...Yeah, Roxas was probably here by now; he said he was going to come that morning just because he wanted to. She snapped her phone shut and slipped out of the room, careful not to let too much light in. "Roxas?" she called, starting down the hallway towards the rest of the apartment.

Roxas turned his head, seeing Naminé come down the hall as he stepped into the living room. "Hey, there you are," he greeted with a soft smile. Where had she been hiding? Usually she heard the knocks at the door.

Namine smiled apologetically, stopping in front of Roxas and giving him a peck on the cheek in greeting. "I just wanted to give you a chance to let yourself in," she teased lightly. "Did you use your key?" It wasn't such a silly question--after all, Roxas had the Keyblade. If he forgot about the apartment key, he could let himself in with the keyblade without a problem.

Roxas nodded, but then he smiled sheepishly. "I kinda forgot I had it," he admitted softly. It would take some getting used to, but he was sure he would pick up on it quickly. Naminé would just have to get used to having an unexpected visitor from time to time.

Namine shook her head in amusement. "I'm not surprised," she said simply. Roxas was a creature of habit just like everyone else; he was used to just having Namine or Kairi let him into the apartment, not being able to access the area with his own key. It was always nice to her that he knocked and waited instead of barging in with the Keyblade.

"Well anyway," Roxas said, looking behind Naminé to the hall. "What were you doing?" She didn't come answer the door like she usually did, even if she did admit that she wanted him to let himself in for the first time. Regardless, he was curious as to what she had been doing in the meantime.

This time, Namine was the one to smile sheepishly. "I was working on developing the pictures I took at the wedding," she explained. "I turned Kairi's bedroom into a black room." It was pitch black except for the special lights she needed to use to develop the pictures properly. If it wasn't such exciting work for her, it would have been easy to fall asleep in that dark room.

"Cool," Roxas said with a small smile. "Can I see?" He was curious as to how the pictures turned out. He knew Naminé got shots in whenever she could, unless she was occupied by him or her other friends for a few dances.
