Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas looked away at the silence, staring down at his lap. "I just...I got scared, okay?" he admitted lowly. He was supposed to be the strong one in most situations, right? And he was, or so he thought.

Namine looked up at Roxas, her head on his shoulder due to their position. She wasn't shocked to hear that he was scared; all of them were afraid in Valhalla. She lifted her hand off of him and set it on his cheek instead, gently turning it towards her. "It's over now," she said quietly. The fear that plagued them in Valhalla didn't have to transfer here. They could abandon everything bad that happened and leave it in the past...Or so she thought.

Roxas gazed into Naminé's pale blue eyes for a second, seeing her promise. Yes, it was over, but... "I know," he said softly. But he knew this would stay with him for a while. How couldn't it? Everything that happened was tragic. Deaths, betrayals, everything. It was awful.

Namine lowered her gaze to her lap. "Let's just...leave it all behind, okay?" she said quietly. "It happened in Valhalla, so let's have it stay there..." All the memories, the tears, and the heartache...it didn't have to affect their present. It technically didn't even happen! So there was really no need for them to let it bother them...

Roxas nodded slightly, pressing a kiss to Naminé's temple. "Okay," he said softly. She made it sound so simple, and he hoped it would be. Maybe if he just focused on the meadow, things would work themselves out. He had to focus on the future, not the past.

Namine felt a smile tug at her lips, but it wasn't one of complete happiness. She wasn't showing it, but she did feel dragged down by what happened in Valhalla despite her talk of leaving it all behind. She told herself she wasn't running away from the problem--she was just choosing to focus on better things. That was a good thing, wasn't it?

Roxas gazed at Naminé in silence, but then he had an idea. "How about this?" he started, smiling faintly. "You focus on your art and...I'll focus on a project of my own." She wouldn't know what that project was until the time came, though. He couldn't have this surprise ruined.

  • Author

"Oh yeah?" Namine looked up at Roxas, curious. "What project will you be focusing on?" He was probably in the midst of a new song, but for what instrument? Guitar? Piano? Or had he decided to take up a new instrument? Roxas could do anything that he set his mind to because of his natural skill and his determination to see things through.

"Not telling," Roxas said with a shake of his head. "That's for me to know and you to find out." She would find out soon, too. Roxas wanted to propose as soon as he could. He couldn't wait anymore. He needed to marry Naminé.

Namine arched a brow. Now she was really curious. "C'mon, Roxas," she whined, pulling back a bit so she could see his face better. "You can't just bring up something like that and not tell me what you're doing..." It was just plain cruel! She wanted to know how he was going to spend his time, since he knew how she would be spending hers.

Roxas's smile turned into a smirk. "I'm serious," he said with a small laugh. "I'm not telling. You'll find out, though. I promise." Naminé would be...thrilled, he hoped. He remembered how much she gushed over Sora and Kairi's engagement. Well now she would have one of her own.

"I am gonna find out," Namine agreed. "Right now!" She brought her hands forward and began to mercilessly tickle Roxas's stomach, knowing exactly where she could do the most damage. She knew most of her friends were ticklish, and she was too, but most importantly, Roxas was. Maybe she could get it out of him this way...

Roxas's eyes widened and he had no choice but to start laughing, a natural reaction to Naminé's tickling. He gasped for air when his laughter subsided for only a second, but then he started laughing again. "N-Not fair!" he cried amidst his chuckles, laying down on the couch as he fought to get away from Naminé's fingers.

"Keeping secrets isn't fair," Namine retorted, moving along with Roxas and continuing to tickle him. He wasn't going to escape her clutches that easily! She wanted to know what was going on, and she was going to tickle it out of him. One way or another, she was going to find out what he was planning to do.

  • 2 weeks later...

Roxas only continued to laugh, not having much of a choice. He still wasn't going to spill his secret, especially since it was so important. If that meant he had to deal with a little bit of torture, then fine. It would be worth it. He was sure of it.

Namine wasn't able to get the secret out of Roxas. She tried to be pouty for a while to get him to spill, but eventually, she was just too tired to stay that way. She leaned her head against his shoulder and drifted while in another world, two other people were just beginning to wake up, even though it was already noon for them.

Riku opened his eyes only a crack, seeing the sunlight pouring into Lightning's room. He groaned and rolled over, wrapping his arm around her waist and holding her close. He didn't want to get up. All he wanted was to lay here forever; it was peaceful, comfortable, and he was with Lightning. What more could he want?

Light rubbed her face against Riku's chest, waking up at his groan. She wasn't very with it, but she remembered the reason why they were just waking up now. She had a nightmare in the middle of the night and the two transferred to the living room for a few hours before she fell asleep on Riku's chest. How they got back to her bedroom, she didn't know. But she did know that she hadn't experienced any more nightmares with Riku so close.

Riku took in a breath before sighing. "...I don't wanna get up," he mumbled tiredly, eyes closed once more. But what hardships did he and Lightning have to face? Other than Snow and his dumb friends, they had no problems whatsoever. They were finally free.

  • Author

"Then don't," Lightning muttered in return. If Riku didn't want to get out of bed yet, then he didn't have to. He could stay here by her side forever and she'd be alright. Before, she wouldn't have liked to have him with her all the time, but a lot changed with Valhalla. Now she was scared to be alone. Scared to be without Riku.

Riku rested in silence for a small moment before he lifted his arm, rubbing at his eyes with his hand. "I have to eventually," he said softly. "I have to get a real job now." Keyblade work didn't pay off as well as a full-time job. True, he had connections in construction, but the Islands were restored and nothing needed work. Riku was in a pinch.

  • Author

"Not today," Lightning said simply, shaking her head softly. She knew that Riku was right, and that he did need a job. She needed one too since she wasn't in the Corps anymore. But today wasn't a day where they would stress over that. Even if today was just a boring day laying in the sunlight and in each others arms, that was a million times better than job hunting.

Riku lowered his gaze, tilting his chin so he could look at the woman cuddled up to his chest. He lifted a hand and smoothed her hair. "Like I said," he replied gently. "Eventually." Maybe not today, but someday soon. He needed to be able to provide for himself and for Lightning in the future.

  • Author

"Eventually, then," Lightning complied, allowing her eyes to flicker shut again. At least he wasn't going to stress the point. But now that she thought about it, what were they going to do? The only reason they had to stick around in Cocoon was to see Serah, and she was probably busy. And Light didn't want to smother her and alarm her that their "dream" was actually reality. I need my sister, but I can't have her. I need to protect her from the truth.

Riku simply gazed at Lightning in the silence, his thumb running over her hair. It was nice to be able to rest like this, in peace. They didn't have the option in Valhalla. But now they had freedom and choices, lives to live. It was going to be great. And Riku hoped his life included Lightning, always.
