Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's smirk remained. "You've tested my patience like no one else," he revealed, continuing to hold out his hand. "And yet I still love you. That's devotion." He was serious, but also joking; Lightning drove him nuts in the beginning, and sometimes her stubbornness still did that, but his love for her was amazing. She had his heart, and he had hers. It was meant to be.

"Then I'll test your patience a little more," Lightning teased, reaching for her glass to take a sip of water. For a comment like that, she was going to make him wait an extra few seconds for her hand. But in all seriousness, Riku's comment almost stung. He meant it lovingly, because it was her nature to be hardheaded and stubborn, but at the same time, she felt bad for stressing him out a lot.

Riku rolled his eyes, but he continued to hold his hand out. He was calm and collected Riku, as he had always been. While Lightning was stubborn, he knew he had a soft spot in her heart. That was never going to change.

Light finished her drink, noticing that Riku's hand didn't move while she did so. She sighed dramatically before lifting a hand and setting it in his, as if his insistence was a pain. Of course they both knew that wasn't true today. She wanted to stand in his arms, and hold his hands in hers and rock in his arms for no reason other than the music playing in the background. Any reason she had to stay in his arms was something she would act on.

Riku took a few steps back, bringing Lightning with him. He then lifted one hand to her waist, holding her close as they started to sway to the music. It was light but romantic, and that he appreciated. Hopefully this could end their date on a good note.

Lightning worked her way closer to Riku, eventually being embraced in his arms instead of his hand just setting on her waist. There were so many words that she wanted to say to him. She wanted to apologize for continuing the touchy subject earlier of where he was living and questioning his judgment. She wanted to say that she didn't mean to come across as antagonizing, if she even did come across that way. But "sorry" wasn't the only thing she wanted to say. Those other words were the ones that exited her lips and entered Riku's ear as she rested her head on his shoulder. "You're the best man I've ever met, Riku," she said quietly.

Riku smiled faintly, his arms encircling Lightning's waist a little more at that. "...That's a first," he whispered. Nobody had ever said anything like that to him before. Growing up, he was tough...but misunderstood. He intimidated kids at school, but not Sora and Kairi; they saw him for who he really was. And so did Lightning, but to a greater degree. She was on a much more personal level.

"You're smart enough to only let people you trust close enough to see who you are," Lightning said softly, giving Riku a light squeeze. He didn't just show himself off to other people who would take advantage of his kindness and loyalty. He saved his loyalty and love for people who deserved it--or at least, people he felt deserved it. She would never say that she deserved his unfailing love, but he gave it to her anyway. "The rest of the worlds may not know it, but you're kind, and patient, and loyal, and full of love."

Riku closed his eyes at the words, feeling them warm his heart. He turned his head and placed a kiss to Lightning's hair, speechless. Where was all of this coming from? Had she thought this all along? He figured she did, because at that moment, their hearts were truly connected; it was almost overwhelming.

"You're overly protective, stubborn and hardheaded, and you drive me crazy," Lightning laughed softly. "But every single day that I get to spend with you is a blessing. Without you, I'd be completely lost." She would be how she was before...hard, alone, and self-sufficient. She still was in a lot of ways, but compared to how she was before, she was radically different. And it was all thanks to Riku.

Riku smiled to himself, the side of his head leaning against Lightning's as he continued to dance with her. They swayed gently to the music, holding each other and taking in each other's presence. They could have lost each other, but they didn't; they were still together and their hearts still beat as one. Their chance at life together still existed.

"What I'm saying is...I love you," Lightning said, briefly rubbing her forehead against Riku's neck. "And I want to spend every day of the rest of my life letting you know how amazing you are and how much you mean to me. I want...you to never be alone in the darkness again. I want...for you to stay with me. More than anything." Her words were fragmented sentences, scattered and jumbled thoughts she hoped made sense. Hopefully he understood what she was telling him.

Riku knew for sure, at that moment, that he and Lightning's hearts were truly connected. He felt the warmth from her heart--a heart full of love and adoration--impact his, and it nearly made him breathless. He pulled back a little to look at her, eyes alight with that same love and adoration she felt and expressed.

Claire pulled back slightly as well, automatically knowing that Riku meant to look into her eyes. She was shy because with all the praise she gave him, she felt vulnerable to him. Her cheeks were pink and she felt breathless, like she would fall onto the floor if it wasn't for Riku's gaze holding her up. His eyes were the same as hers, and knowing that all the love that she gave to him was reflected back at her made her feel things that she hadn't felt before. In her twenty-some years of life, she never felt more alive than she did right now.

Riku and Lightning's dancing stopped completely by now, and he lifted a hand to cup the side of her head and face. He didn't know what to say; she said everything. He could repeat her, but what was the point? Riku's eyes couldn't lie, ever. She should have known what he thought and felt just by the look in his eyes. "...Claire..." he said, practically breathless. Gosh, he loved her.

Light kept her eyes locked on Riku, her breath caught in her throat. She didn't talk much--she was quiet naturally and listened to others speak, so it was rare for her to prattle on like she just had. But it was about Riku--one of the few people in life that she was passionate about. She could write a novel on how much she loved him and how much he meant to her, and how loving him made her an infinitely better person.

Riku brushed a few strands of hair away from Lightning's face, and he shook his head as he smiled the slightest bit. "I..." he started, not knowing what to say. "I-I..." Riku couldn't find the right words, so he decided to let his actions do the talking. He leaned forward, connecting his lips to Lightning's in a loving kiss.

Lightning only had the chance to let out one chuckle before Riku's lips pressed against hers. She forgot something on her list earlier: Riku was adorable. Neither of them were very good with romance half the time. Actions of attraction came across easily enough, but words were another matter, as Riku just proved.

Riku's kiss was full of passionate love, something he only ever felt for Lightning. He never had a girlfriend before, nor did he expect to fall in love, ever. He thought that was the kind of thing meant for people like Sora and Kairi. But he was worthy of it too. He had to be, with all he was just told and everything he felt.

Claire kissed Riku back, weaving her arms around his neck and gently placing a hand in his hair. The passion behind the kiss made her blush remain, along with her breathlessness from earlier. Every kiss she shared with Riku was a special one, but she couldn't describe this one in words no matter how much she wanted to as a logical person. Her mind couldn't comprehend her emotions, because her feelings were so strong that they were taking over.

Riku pulled back after a minute, but he couldn't go far because of Lightning's hold on him, which he didn't mind in the least. His breathlessness was catching up to him, so he took in a much needed breath. He opened his eyes to look at the person before him, his eyes alight with joy and adoration. "...I'm in love with you, Claire," he whispered. "I'm always going to be in love with you." Even if she made decisions he didn't agree with, or behaved irrationally for no good reason at all, his love beat out everything else. It always would.

Lightning kept her eyes shut after the kiss, just taking in Riku's words as he spoke them. The promises he gave were ones that he surely was going to keep, because one of the things she appreciated most about Riku was the fact that he always kept his word. If he said he was going to love her forever, then he would. Simple as that.

"And one day..." Riku's hand moved up Lightning's back slightly as he smiled a little. "One day you're going to be wearing white again," he whispered gently. "And it's going to be the day I can officially call you mine." He never directly voiced it before, but now she knew his intentions; he wanted to marry her someday. They hinted at it back in Valhalla, but only briefly. Now he knew it was possible; he would propose someday soon.

Partway through Riku's statements, Lightning opened her eyes and met Riku's. She didn't know what to say to anything. All she could do was stand there like a fool with her cheeks rosy pink and eyes hinting at moisture. "Riku," she silently mouthed, unable to even find her voice. The day where she would be in white again...it couldn't come fast enough.

Riku's famous crooked smile made itself present just then, Lightning's reaction the cause. That's all he could do, since he was overwhelmed by everything. Her response was proof enough for the future he had wanted for a long time. Claire would say yes.
