Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning smiled at Riku's lopsided one. He was adorable right now. Normally he was a lot like she was--stoic and serious. But now he couldn't wipe a grin off his face, just like she couldn't stop smiling for him. She leaned up and gave him a peck on the lips, unable to think of anything else to do to express herself.

Riku kissed Lightning back, but because the action was so brief, he smiled crookedly again. He always knew it from the get-go, but he was serious now: whatever Lightning decided, he would be happy for her. Her happiness was important to him, something he told her in Valhalla not too long ago. Then they agreed to be wed in a sense, and now she all but confirmed it. Riku would be sure to get on that soon enough.

Lightning briefly glanced over her shoulder, blinking when she noticed that dessert was on the table. She laughed lightly--something she rarely did--in amusement. Serah had come in and transferred out everything from the main meal and brought in dessert at some point. Sneaky.

Riku looked over Lightning's shoulder to see what she did, and his smile turned into a smirk. "Serah," he said in amusement, shaking his head a little. She was clever, and quiet. He didn't even sense her presence. Of course, that was to be expected, considering his attention was focused completely on the woman in his arms.

"Serah," Lightning agreed. That was all that she needed to say to get her point across. And of course the dessert was delicious looking--a plate of brownies sat in the middle of the table along with hot fudge, whipped cream, and ice cream. Serah really outdid herself for this. Light would have to thank her later.

"Well, I guess we shouldn't let her effort go to waste," Riku said, taking an arm back and motioning to the table. The brownies would of course be delicious, as well as the ice cream. He was excited to dig in; dessert was always his favorite part of a meal.

"Go ahead and get started," Lightning said, glancing towards the doorway before making her way towards it. "I'll be right back." Serah brought in plenty of food--way more than what was needed for two people. That was what sparked another idea for Lightning--the idea to invite Serah to join dessert with them. It was the least they could do, considering what a big role Serah had in tonight.

Riku glanced at Lightning, but then he took his seat at the table and instantly busied himself with what was available to him. Man, will Sora be jealous of this! Riku pulled out his phone and snapped a quick picture for later, then digging in.

It took some coaxing, but Serah eventually gave in to Lightning's desires and came to the dining room to eat dessert with them. As soon as she saw Riku, she burst out laughing for more than one reason. Firstly, his dessert bowl was completely empty except for the remains of melted ice cream and brownie crumbs. His face showed remains of the meal too. "I hope you're not such a messy eater when you're with Lightning," she teased. He probably wanted to wipe his face off now...

"You should see me and Sora at a buffet," Riku said, smiling sheepishly. He lifted his napkin and wiped his mouth off, removing any traces of chocolate and ice cream. He had his share, so Light and Serah could finish what they could. Riku didn't take too much...

"I don't know if I want to," Serah laughed. Seeing Riku gave her an idea of what the two could be like together, and it wasn't exactly a pretty picture. She stepped to the side as Lightning carried in another chair for her, setting it at the table before returning to the kitchen for a plate and silverware. And, of course, a glass of milk, because Lightning knew that Serah always had milk with her desserts.

"Someday you might not have a choice," Riku hinted, giving Serah a look while Lightning was out of the room. If he and Light got married, and a buffet was at the reception, she'd catch a glimpse. Of course, since it would be a wedding, he and Sora would tone it down. Regardless, he and his best friend could get pretty messy, even at their age.

"Better not," Serah recommended, catching onto a subtle message that Lightning wouldn't have understood. "Lightning may not care much, but I'll be there to keep you guys in check." Serah was big on posterity and photos and looking picture perfect. Riku and Sora with chocolate running down their chins didn't exactly fit with how she wanted her sister's wedding to be.

"We'll save it for the bachelor party then," Riku reasoned with a small nod. "How's that sound?" Sora's bachelor party was just a small get together, with a lot of food and hours of gaming. Of course, Riku got in every taunt he could. He imagined his would be the same.

"If it helps get everything out of your system, sure," Serah agreed, placing herself in the seat that Lightning brought in a minute ago. Her sister returned then with a plate, fork and spoon, and, as expected, a glass of 2% milk. "You remembered," she cooed sweetly at her big sister, smiling at her. Of course Lightning remembered; she practically raised Serah, after all.

Riku leaned back in his seat and crossed his arms, smirking in Serah's direction before he looked to Lightning. She looked great in white, as he said before, but would she really wear a wedding dress and keep to tradition? He wasn't so sure...

Serah watched as Lightning returned to her seat before looking to Riku again. "I've had my dessert with milk ever since I was nine," she said almost sheepishly. "I had a tantrum when Lightning forgot to bring some one day, and ever since then, she's always gotten me milk." It was a silly story, but it was good to look back at the past and laugh. Even Lightning had a crooked smile tugging at her lips now.

"You were the spoiled one, weren't you?" Riku lifted an eyebrow as he met Serah's gaze, amused. He could imagine a younger Serah throwing a fit, and Lightning as caring as ever. Riku never had to worry about taking care of others, except for Sora and Kairi; he was an only child.

"Just a bit," Serah agreed with a smirk. Lightning didn't often talk about their childhoods, or how she raised Serah, because it showed a tender side of her that nobody else was allowed to see. But this was Riku, so she would gladly tell him more stories while Lightning blushed and ate her food. "I used to have trouble sleeping at night too. Light always sat against the side of my bed those nights to keep me company. Sometimes, she fell asleep there and didn't move for the whole night. It's a wonder she doesn't have back problems or anything..." Sleeping in an upright position like that so often definitely wasn't good for a person's posture.

"It's Lightning," Riku reminded the woman's sister, looking from her to the person he loved. "She's tough." As if some back pain would keep her down; she was one of the strongest people Riku knew. Sure, she needed his support sometimes, but that meant she was human. There was nothing wrong with that.

"And stubborn," Serah teased, smiling affectionately at her blushing sister. "I could go on all night with stories about that." Lightning was stubborn, but she was also caring and selfless. Serah asked a lot out of her growing up without realizing the strain that it put on her for a long time, yet Lightning never held it against her. She was the best sister a girl could ask for.

"I think we've got some time," Riku said, his smirk still present as he looked to the woman he loved. "Don't we, Lightning?" Unless she wanted to leave soon, then their time was limited. Snow would be home soon, wouldn't he? Riku didn't exactly want to be here when Snow was around.

"Something tells me you guys are going to talk about it whether I approve or not," Lightning said absently, scooping some ice cream onto her spoon before taking a bite. Serah was obviously in a chatty mood, and Riku was always eager to hear things that Lightning wouldn't say herself. That was something that really connected Riku and Serah: their investment in her, and her investment in them.

Riku's smirk turned into a genuine smile, a part of him excited to hear the rest of these stories. He leaned forward, his arms still crossed as he rested them on the table. "Okay, shoot," he said to Serah, ready for the other tales. What would she tell him that Lightning wouldn't?

"Well," Serah started, "When I was eleven, I desperately wanted a pet rabbit. Of course Lightning thought they were pests that only lived for the sake of reproduction, but when I wouldn't let the topic drop, she went out and bought me one. We only had it for a week when we realized that I was allergic!" she laughed. She had expected Lightning to be frustrated with the turn of events, because of how much work she put into finding the pet for her, but she wasn't.
