Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku stared up at the stars for some sort of guidance, knowing where some of the worlds were just from studying the sky. What could he say? All of the worlds he saw were unique in their own way. There was only one he could truly call home, and that was Destiny Islands. But out of the worlds he visited? That was difficult. "...I have two answers," he said after a minute. "Going by favorite world in general? The Islands. Favorite world I've visited while I was gone? Halloween Town."

Lightning hummed at the response. Obviously she knew a lot about the Islands, but she knew practically nothing about Halloween Town. It was an interesting choice of world, because she never knew that Riku was a fan of Halloween or anything like that. Oh well, she supposed this game was about learning things you didn't know before.

If Riku remembered correctly, his next question would be number three on his side. "Um...what's your favorite color?" he asked. He never really knew that answer, mostly because he never asked. But he was curious. He'd seen Lightning wear all kinds of colors, but which one did she like the most?

Lightning's instant thought was the color that she wore most often: brown. But that was only her favorite color to wear, not her favorite color in general. These questions were harder than they should have been; she never really thought about this kind of stuff. She glanced over at Riku, her gaze briefly dancing up to his eyes. That was when she found her answer. "That color," she said, gently lifting a finger and pointing it towards Riku's eye. She liked the color of his eyes.

Riku blinked when he realized what Lightning was indicating, and he looked away. "Oh..." he answered softly, rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced down at the sand. Well, he definitely wasn't expecting that answer.

Lightning smiled, lowering her hand back down to her lap. Yeah, Riku understood what she meant. And now that it was her turn to ask a question... "What's your favorite color?" And he couldn't go with the color of her hair, because she knew that he'd be lying. Pink definitely wouldn't have been Riku's favorite.

Riku lowered his hand, sitting up more and resting an arm on his knee. He then looked down at his shirt. "This color," he said, pulling at his shirt a little. Navy blue was his favorite color. It always had been.

Lightning hmphed at Riku's quick response. She'd have to try to come up with more unpredictable questions, because she didn't like that he was having such an easy time of it while she was struggling with each question. She'd find some way to catch him off guard like he did to her...but how?

Riku stared at the ocean for a minute, trying to think of another question. There were hundreds he could ask, but he couldn't come up with anything... He turned his head, gazing at Lightning in silence for a minute. "...If you had one day left to live, what would you do?" he asked then. Who would she be with? What would she do? What would she say to everyone that she knew?

Lightning was, yet again, caught off guard by the question Riku asked. This one was such a serious one though. It was so...sad. She thought about it a lot, especially while she was in Valhalla. She would have done absolutely anything to have just one more day in the Realm of Light with Riku, Serah, and the other people she loved. But she wasn't willing to let the game take that kind of dark turn; it would betray just how much time she spent thinking about death. "I would spend the day fighting to make it not my last day," she said, looking down at her lap. If somebody told her she had one day left, she wouldn't accept it. She'd spend that day making sure that day wasn't her last.

Riku couldn't help but smile crookedly in approval. "Nice," he said, meaning it. That reminded him a lot of her going against her focus and striving to live even when she was a l'Cie. That was one of the traits he liked most about Lightning; she was headstrong. It was admirable.

Lightning matched Riku's crooked smile as she pulled one of her feet away from the incoming water. "If you could have one wish grated, however crazy it could be, what would you wish for?" Now that she was getting in the rhythm of the game, she was starting to come up with better questions, or so she liked to think.

Riku's smile remained, his eyes on Lightning's for a moment as he thought about it. What was one thing he would want more than anything else? "...Food," he said with a nod. "Lots and lots of food." An infinite buffet would be best.

  • Author

Lightning laughed not only at the readiness of the answer, but at the sincerity behind it. "Right. Of course." How could she have expected anything different? Riku obviously had food on the mind after their dinner date and Serah's amazing cooking.

"Hey, I would share!" Riku said, gently nudging Lightning with his shoulder. He wouldn't hog it all, of course. He'd let Light have some, and Sora too. With Sora involved, an infinite supply of food would definitely be a better choice. Riku and Sora combined was a bad idea when it came to food. Roxas too, now that Riku thought about it.

  • Author

"Uh-huh," Lightning hummed, playfully unconvinced. But whether Riku was going to share for her or not, she would have taken food from his supply. Especially if it was Serah's cooking. Serah was the most amazing cook that she ever knew...which was good, since Lightning's skills weren't quite up to par.

Riku chuckled to himself, then looking out to the water. Since they were on a light note with the questions, he was curious about one thing. "If you were me for a day, what would you do?" he asked then. What did Riku do in an average day anymore? He wasn't even sure what he would do.

  • Author

Light laughed. That was such a weird question! How was she supposed to know what she would do if she was Riku for a day? Maybe she could twist the question a little bit. "Spend the day making food with your cooking skills that I can enjoy when I'm myself again?" she offered. Really, that was the only thing she could think of. It helped that they were still sort of on the topic of food.

Riku tilted his head back as he laughed, unable to help it. That was one answer he truly loved. Once his laughter faded, he shook his head. "That is an answer I will take," he said, smiling. It was both a compliment to him and a diss, since he wouldn't be able to have the food. But still, it was a good answer.

Light pulled her knees up, another question coming to her. "What scent of perfume do you like best?" she asked. She wanted to know, because obviously she wanted to please Riku in any way that she could, and since he had the ability to "smell" her...It made sense that she would think about that kind of thing.

Riku's smile softened at the question, and he lowered his sight to the sand. "Scent of perfume, huh?" he repeated lowly, hearing the waves gently roll in. "Well, when I'm around you...I smell roses." He turned his head, eyes on Lightning now. "...You don't really need to wear perfume, but if you did...roses." He liked--no, loved--the smell of roses because of her.

  • Author

Lightning smiled softly, wrapping her arms around her legs. "Roses, then," she declared quietly. She would look for some nice perfume that smelled like roses. She couldn't imagine that she'd wear it regularly, but she'd pull it out for special occasions like this, since Riku liked the smell.

Riku's smile remained, and he was sure that if he kept up with it, his face would begin to hurt. He had been smiling so much today... After Valhalla, that was great. "Um..." he hummed, thinking of his next question. All he could really come up with was something silly. "...Where's Waldo?" Riku lifted an eyebrow, eyes still on Lightning.

  • Author

Light chuckled. Even she knew who Waldo was; Serah used to love those books growing up. It took Serah forever to find where Waldo was in the pictures, but Light had such sharp eyes that she could easily spot out the man in the striped shirt. "Hiding," she said simply. Waldo was hiding, wherever he was.

Riku chuckled softly, then looking out to the ocean. That was a good answer. He would accept it, of course, since he didn't know what kind of answer he could expect in the first place. Now, he would wait for Lightning's next question.
